How's everybody doing?

Got home from work at 4, neighbor came and, and we chatted, her DH came out and told me I had a bad tire. Looked at the tire, and it looks like the wall is splitting on it. I got back in my car and took it up to the tire place to have it replaced with my warranty. The problem is that they had my name in the computer but had no servicing history - just my name and address. Now I have to go through all my paperwork to try to find the receipt for the warranty.:( That will teach me to keep my receipts more organized.

Cool fall weather is here in SoCal - a cold evening of 65 deg. Thank goodness (sometimes) for hot flashes.

Hi Sea! ............65.........boo-hoo.

Hello Sea, My Boo.

Sorry you had that problem. What I do is keep every auto repair receipt in my glove box.

You want to be shocked. Nine of us kids. All but one had kids. Mostly two. Now there is the kids of the kids. We meet at a restaurant when we get together. It's less work!
Last year we started meeting at our house, all 14 of us, Mom can't handle it anymore & I don't want her to try :)

DH has an old fire proof safe that is no longer lockable. I put receipts in folders and stick them in it.

I even put them in alphabetical order. The first time, he went searching for something, he just pulled folders out and shoved them back in. I had to redo the whole thing. :grr:

I had a little embarrassment on the job today. Most of my clients are old-time regulars ... like my client today. I usually just enter his house while he's at work b/c he's in a safe neighborhood. He texted me last night and told me that his GF would be there and to just ring the doorbell. She wasn't there, but the house was unlocked. I was working when she came back from walking one of her dogs. I stood there just gawking at her:blush: b/c it was a new girlfriend ... not the one I was used to.

There was another dog in a large crate in the garage, but like I usually would, I did not rush up and pet it ... it was a pit bull.

The way I am about "a place for everything and everything in its place", I would have a nervous breakdown over this, as soon as DH was out of sight...... .....even if that "place" means stuffed in a closet!

I hope you didn't call her the old GF's name.

Life was full of surprises for you today. :(

A restaurant is nice. A bit expensive for anyone with large family but we get waited on, cooked for, and no clean up!!!!!!!!!!!!

A restaurant is a good way to do it, and it's quite fair. Everyone pays their share, or pays for their family and whomever they want to include. My youngest sister's 25-year anniversary was at a restaurant; Copeland's. The food and service were great, and we had a large room all to ourselves.
