Low Resistance Magnum Atomizers

Fluke is a high end electronics company that makes meters, etc for professional applications. Top quality stuff.

Ya gotta figure that a good company with a name like Fluke doesn't come around too often.:lol:

I just got a Magnum atty today and I have to say that the combination of this atty, Drew's Delrin Driptip (3D!), and some Octane liquid is seriously impressive! After getting spoiled by the Xhaler, I was afraid my 3.7V PT and Nomad would be left unused...Not so thanks to this combo!! :w00t:

Way to go Drew...Now I'll NEVER be able to save money again cuz as soon as I'm less broke you gotta know I'll be placing an order for more! :-x

Hey! Here is some interesting LR and battery trivia for you (before I go out for a night of philandering):

1) eGo/Tornado batteries doesn't have any form of short circuit protection. Short one out, and you'll blow the output MOSFET every dayum time. Splash two now...

2) The LR NHaler atty does have a supplemental wick. It's a bit smaller than what you might be used to, and it is routed a bit differently, but it is there.

3) Don't use IPA or alcohol to soak the LR atties in order to clean them. They use an adhesive to hold the coil pot and mesh in place....

4) The LR atties don't use a plastic venturi disk at the bottom. It is made out of metal (brass) so you don't have to worry about it melting.

5) If you have a LR atty that has a "hard draw", it is probably due to the wiring in the base of the atty blocking the air path. It can be "repaired", but it's touchy.

6) PV's are fun!

Well, I bought the woodie on the first day and about a week later started using the atty.
It had been working flawlessly until today.
All of the sudden with zero change it jsut stopped.
I get no sizzle or vapor on a known good battery (carto works)...

Sooo... I guess the first one is dead.

Replacements are at the post office and I will have to wait till Monday to pick them up! Ug....

First one bites the dust, eh? Very sad :(

That's the main unknown as yet - how long on average will they last.

I'm still on my first one. Been pushing 6mls a day through it for a week. If anything it seems to still be getting better, if that's possible. No cleaning, just blow it out twice a day and keep it wet. Amazing how much liquid these hold compared to a Joye 510.

I take it you mean splash two batts? I have mine on a mega now ;-) And wow - when you say they suck ejuice - one session and I'm tasting the dry atty taste coming on and quit. Likely good dripping attys because they need wetness. But the vapor is surprising. Good draw on one - haven't fired the other up yet.

Same as what I was doing... 3 to 4 MAX drops till the taste changes.
I made a bit of a home made drip tip from a 901 cart that I drilled out... can't wait to get my new attys and drip tips that are held at the post office (we were out of town)....
going back to cartos sux hard after these LR attys!

You know it...I have been hiding these things from myself in fear that I will run out...I think there is Methadone in them or something...SO addictive...I tried a regular 510 today on 6 volts and didnt pay attention to the drip and took one too many hits!!! Choked for the first time in a long time...Yuk

Scottbee...do the Tornado / eGo batteries monitor for over-current or is it just voltage?

Tornado/eGo batteries don't monitor the current draw at all. If you hook one up to a short, and it has a good charge on it, it will "blow" the output MOSFET "just like that".

4) Well tell us how! What size sewing needle are we performing this surgery with doctor?

Hmmmm.... I didn't use a sewing needle, but that might not be a bad idea. If you have an illuminated loop you can probably look down the center hole in the battery end... and will be able to actually see the wire crossing the air path. If it is not "pinched" (and mine weren't) you should be able to move the wire "to the side" with your needle. When it is out of the way you should be able to take a pin or numbered drill in the .040" (1mm) range and run it "up" through the battery hole, past the wire, and into the "bottom" hole in the ceramic coil pot. The pin should be able to go into the atty unabated by at least 5/16". Going in any deeper than that can get a bit spooky since you'll be getting close to the actual coil.

Yupperz.... "splashed" two TorneGo batteries. The failure mode was the same on both of them.. blown output MOSFET. Luckily I was able to repair both of them, so I wasn't out "the full nut"... just the cost of the replacement MOSFET and my time (which is absolutely free according to the wife).

Drew,
I had ordered 2 of the stainless LR atty's last week (Wednesday) and got them today.
I had tried one on my BB and OMG!!!
What a HUGE diff it makes with the 3.7 battery!!
I love these LR atty's.
Come Friday, I will order 5 more and I also want to TY 4 the NHaler Cloth bag in Purple.. My favorite color (besides teal & Aqau)!!
I am also waiting on the XSHaler to come out and I have my color picked and all.
TY again for having these LR atty's!
I just wish the Delrin Tips weren't so expensive.
I still want to try them though and I have 2 on my list also.
