I've been really good the last few days hon
Right now it's in my Foggy dripper, don't know how it will be in anything else yet

It's possible the the original versions went all the way to jerky, but now it refers more to the seasoning. At least that's my understanding.
But I think the popularity of it came from Jamaican street food vendors. Not sure if it truly originated there though.

I know what you mean. I've done that with a couple of juices. Ended up losing what was in the carto but taking the rest out of the tank with a syringe.

DH lived in Atlanta for awhile, that's where he first had it. He said that the owner of the restaurant was a true Jamaican, and his jerk was REALLY, REALLY spicy. Good, but almost too spicy. DH said it can be pork as well, not just chicken.Yep! I think the Jamaican version uses a rub.

Yeaaaah it doesYeah but if it's strong then hopefully you won't lose too much flavor in your tank. But dripping does sometimes spoil ya with the flavor doesn't it?
I still like my Igo's for around the house but that's about as far as I can go with dripping.

DH said he's never heard of Jerk Shrimp, that it was explained to him that it was meat that needed to be cooked for a long time on a grill....or other type of long method of cooking, and the "jerk" was the motion you used with your fingers to pull the meat off of the bone. He said that was what the Jamaican owner told him. DH thinks that now, "jerk" is more a reference of the type of seasonings and spices used, and not the original meaning.

I'd never had it (at all) before the other night. It was good on shrimp, if you like shrimp.
Since I didn't know how it even tasted, I kind of went with a loose interpretation of a serving suggestion that was on the back of the box. So I put the shrimp in tortillias with some melted cheese, and served pineapple with it.
The box also showed it with white rice with some red beans...but not sure that it was exactly full blown red beans and rice. Since I haven't ever had that either.
