Have a great day!! :)

Our neighbor across the street has Hondas. Three I believe. Two are REALLY old. His putz around town car is a seriously old Civic hatchback. It has way over 300,000 miles on it. He just had to buy parts for it, it broke down on him and was parked at the village hall for about three days until his parts came in. He said other than tires, and a battery, he's now, including those newest parts, at about $100 he's actually EVER had to spend on repairs. The parts he just ordered were $53.00. He does the work himself, so no labor costs. But that's a REALLY good Honda testimonial.
His wife drives a really old Accord I guess that's what it is. But same thing with her car. She said the only thing that doesn't work great on hers is the speedometer, she said she doesn't need it anyway. (she has a lead foot like nobody's business)
He also has a convertible, it's newer, but I don't know what it is. It's pretty though, small and silver.

Awesome vapemail Jeff!!! :)

Dale, I grabbed your quote, but I bet I forgot to check it. Have fun tonight at the party. :)

DH got back from Indy last night. They drove back after the race. According to the pedometer app on his phone, he walked a combined 26 miles between the two days they were there. He had an absolute BLAST though.
I've had quite a few civics myself, 2 of them I had over 400k on them and still ran great when I got rid of them.

One I blew up around 300k after running it without oil, I mean not a drop, for over 6 months. I was trying to kill it lol

Im at 163,788 on this one now and its a champ. :)

I just spent over 2 hrs cleaning it just to make room to get my summer wheels to discount tire lol first time I've cleaned it in 2 years lol Found a few things in there I forgot I even had lol Shes getting a bath and a wax job after she gets her new shoes put on :)

    Good morning Lori! :)
Ugh, I get tired of all these b-day parties  They're all crammed up together

So, are DH's legs sore? Glad he had a good time :)

Judging from the pic it's a really good looking car. I don't blame you one bit for keeping it and driving it. Honestly, I loathe car payments. I'd much rather have/buy a well maintained and well kept older vehicle and skip the payments.

Two years ago we needed to replace the vehicle I was driving and DH found a pristine 2004 Lexus SUV for sale from an individual.
They had ALL the maintenance paperwork from day one, and honestly, it still looked brand new. It had 91,000 miles, that's really considered low miles for the age of the vehicle, and was even still under the factory warranty up to 100,000 miles.
DH can do any needed repairs, otherwise, I wouldn't have been so keen to have to pay a dealership if and when it needs work.
I love it, and will be perfectly content to drive it until it just falls apart. ;)

You've had your share of "get-togethers" the last two months.

Yeah, I just asked him...he said they're sore.

He came back with really cool posters that the factory teams handed out and the drivers all signed. (He puts them in poster frames and hangs them in the garage.) He said that you could really walk just about anywhere in the pits, and it didn't cost one dime extra.
He said the drivers are all super friendly and will actually take questions, and talk to you about the cars.

I counted three shirts, but I'm sure there's a cap or two somewhere as well.
I think next year I just may have to go. He said I was welcome to go before he left, but I wasn't sure about all the walking.
