I have gotten several of my meds from Canada. My doctor wasn't to thrilled at first but when I brought in my Advair discus from them and explained that I could get 6 months worth for the cost of a single month US he looked at the pamphlet that came in it and agreed that it was the same thing and made good sense. My SIL has lupus and some of hers were cheaper to buy through Canada than she could get it even with her insurance so she just orders the expensive ones from them. She compares and if she can get them cheaper that way she does it. My MIL ends up paying for the last 3 or 4 months worth of prescriptions because she goes over the limit of what they will pay in a year so in September or October the doctor gives her new prescriptions and she sends to Canada for hers also. It saves her several $100 in those 3 or 4 months.![]()
Is that how it works Bobbi? your insurance covers as much as it can for the year and if the meds are over the allowance it comes out of your pocket for the rest?..
