I miss my mom doing everything too

We are watxhing some guy trying to put 12 ft of quarter round into a 6ft truck bed. It's hilarious.
He tired the part in the truck together but the 6 ft sticking out of the truck is just flopping around.

omg I can picture it! that does sound funny:laugh:

See ya later! You don't have to be so polite!
no apologies needed...
(I come and go...it's an understandable affliction ...bouncing around...in and out...back and forth...
... suddenly ya just gotta leave!)
I certainly don't expect people to apologize for leaving oh my goodness.

Hi Lori :)

I get to bake on Friday ... Mom wants a cake and a pecan pie. I've got a puff pasty surprise up my sleeve for her.
Cut and bake in squares. Cool split fill with whipped cream and drizzle chocolate syrup on top :)
That sounds wonderful!! I think I've seen a recipe for something similar, but with strawberries maybe?? I really, REALLY love puff pastry....any pastry!! Have you ever made Baklava?? I'd really like to try it sometime. Except, I do better without it around to tempt me. :D

Love it! What is that colour called? How wide did you make it? That would work well for some of the more intricate knots/wraps you really can't do with a yarn scarf. Would be perfect for the girls too. I really need to use up a LOT of pastel yarns!
It's about 3 & 1/2 inches wide. I used two colors, (skeins). A really large crochet hook. I do not see a letter on it, but I measured across the bottom, and it's 5/8" thick, then tapers down at the hook end. The larger size is kinder to my hands, and easier on the eyes as well.

I used Red Heart (Super Saver) in Monet Print
http://www.redheart.com/yarn/super-saver-economy/monet-print

and Red Heart (Soft Yarn) in Seafoam
http://www.redheart.com/yarn/soft-yarn/seafoam

If I use the Red Heart Super Saver, I use a one of the soft yarns for my second skein. The super saver to me is SCRATCHY, but together with a soft, it's fine.

The pattern is super fun too. You chain how wide you want it to be, plus 2. For this scarf, I used:
Rw1: chain 7, turn.
Rw2: dc into 3rd chain from hook, then sc in next chain, then dc, as so on. Each row should end with sc. Then chain 2 and turn.
Rw3: - desired length: same as row 2

I've used the same pattern only a longer initial chain for larger scarves with one strand of yarn, and also for dishcloths. It has a nice flowing repeat that to me is soothing while your'e stitching.
Row 1 is a bugger. Just how it is, and easy to lose your stitches because it's so loose. Past that, it's a breeze.

What?!? why do you think Balwin is sending me the awesome sketches, one's for him so he doesn't notice when I steal his teeth.
"look at the awesome horse, pops"..*yoink*..

All righty, I do have to

Did not make sense to take 10 mins to go home then come here after picking up DS so we sit ... I concider it forced time with Mom :)
....bonding. :D

Okay, I'm off too. I need to clean up the mess I've made here on the kitchen table (yarn, skein bands, hooks, etc.) ;), since it's nearly time for dinner.

Better to apologise when it's not needed than to not apologise when it is :)

 I remember when I first started seeing DH. All these women were talking about DH. I was like, Who is this guy? Man, he really gets around!!! :w00t:

I'd kinda worked it out but then like you, I thought, maybe I should ask, 'cause if they're sharing this guy, I need to know how he's getting around the states so quickly!

Sue, DH and I lived together for 12 years before we tied that legal knot. ;) We've been together just over 20 years now.

Then I was lurking in the OUTSIDE for a little while. Most of those topics that I skimmed over appeared to be about people who are there just to argue with each other. Maybe that's the point of it IDK lol.
8-o You really don't want to go there!!!!
I've bounced around a bit, I prefer it here.
