I suppose it's down to size and build quality. I keep thinking, i'll get a few thousand from insurance and that Mazda MX5 is still very cheap. Old, maybe but a car I must own at some point, why not now!.

What happened to her car? Was she in there when it happened? While she was pregnant?!? Scary!
Ooo yes! She was in there, got side-swiped by some idiot on the Walmart parking lot :grr:
Guy tried to tell her it was nothing and she let them go, naturally that came back to bite her in the ....
They tried to sue but had no case and lost thank goodness!

No one was hurt but you know how people are, they came back with the "oh my neck" crap!

Yeah I know the type, glad to hear she wasn't hurt. Can't tolerate my adoptive sister being hurt. I'd have to get a flight and go see Mr "oh my neck".

:D DH was kind of like that ;)

And he never gets mad or in "defense" mode ... but of course this was his baby girl.

So, you're really thinking to get that Mazda? :?: What color will you be looking for?

Yep, you could be the most placcid, laid back person ever. Hurt ya kid and the incredible hulk comes out

Yep I'm considering it. The one I'm looking at is a nice dark blue. I'd love a bright yellow though

Hummm  Bet the dark blue would be cheaper to insure than a bright yellow hon.

All caught up. Not feeling as cold after reading about how cold GG & CB are....

CB, I'd have a space heater and defy anything anyone said....they could tell it to the labor board. ;) Just my :2c:, sorry "labor board" is a bit harsh..., but I'm very cold natured and that's just darn cold to sit in for 8 hours. :( If no space heater, I'd have electric socks, thermals, a hot water bottle...rice bag thingies for the microwave...one of those insulated sleeping bags that have a drawstring for around my face...greet a few customers like that and they may get you some heat.... Okay, now I'm just being ridiculous.

GG, I can't do paleo, it's interesting, and I could do some of it, but I can't completely give up dairy, potatoes, beans, :( (or processed foods entirely) I can curb some of it, but if someone took away my cheese, well...it wouldn't be pretty. :D

Sorry about your car being totaled Welsh. :( When they totaled ours, they offered a ridiculous amount, and DH, well....let's just say he bombarded their fax machine with examples of cars of the same make/year, etc. selling for a much more appropriate amount....we ended up getting what he was looking for, but not without a little work on his part. Our damage was just the front fender, front bumper, grill, and radiator. But because of the age of the vehicle vs. cost to repair, they just totaled it....plus, they'd jacked around for so long, they'd run up quite a bill with the company who towed it, I think that was about $800.00, which he zero'd for the titile when it was all said and done, so it all ended well for all parties. He had his body shop fix it and sold if for a nice profit he said. But that's what they do, and how it works I guess.
