Well, the potatoes were very good. However, unless you need a dish to take to a family gathering, or some other function, just go with loaded baked potatoes.
The recipe wasn't difficult to make or anything. But a loaded baked potato tastes just about exactly the same and you don't have to pay extra for the convenience of already diced up potatoes. Again, perfect if you need a dish to take somewhere, easy peasy for that.
I would cut out 1 pkg. of the ranch dressing mix, it's pretty "ranchy", not to be confused with raunchy. , and add extra cheese to the top near the end of cooking time for that browned cheesy goodness on top.

DH has pretty much perfected "baked" potatoes in the microwave, and they're darn good. So next time that's what we're going to do.

Okay, I guess I'll clean up this mess now. Wish I could just twitch my nose.

Ah thanksgiving is a bone contention here personally, I've tried to at the very least have my family adopt it but nope, "we're not american" so, unless I want to celebrate that alone, it's not something I've managed to convince anyone of yet. It's probably more down to me and what I associate with as american culture, while we have most of it, there seems to be something special about the things we didn't adopt, like thanksgiving. I blame TV for showing me this stuff .

Ah thanksgiving is a bone contention here personally, I've tried to at the very least have my family adopt it but nope, "we're not american" so, unless I want to celebrate that alone, it's not something I've managed to convince anyone of yet. It's probably more down to me and what I associate with as american culture, while we have most of it, there seems to be something special about the things we didn't adopt, like thanksgiving. Uh huh, I found while smoking that I was replacing food with a smoke, when I would have been snacking.
vaping doesn't replace my urge to eat something like smoking did, so I'm satisfying nicotine cravings and eating quite a bit more too.
My doctor is doubly pleased with my switch to vaping, let's put it that way.

Nope it isn't ideal.
Can't say I ever realised until it was pointed out medically, apparently waiting to be tested for Celiac, seems to be a possibility according to doc but we'll see.

I'm probably slightly thinner than Slim is, so I didn't pay much attention to his size, suppose I've normalised my perception of us skinnies

They do that here too. Well the younger kids do. When I was in high school, a friend was riding in a car on the passenger side when someone threw a firecracker into their car. It went down her top, right between her cleavage . Left her with a NASTY scar.

As bad as it is, there are worse things I could get. Doc seems in no rush to find out for certain and won't let me stop eating gluten cause I'll need to be for the testing.

It surprised me how many do have gluten problems, you're right. This may sound strange, but I get obsessed and interested in certain weird subjects. Celiac is a sophisticated disease it seems, the great mimic!. since I heard of it, I researched more and more
