I am the luckiest man alive.

Been informed that I'm getting a first version of the VV Grand, polished version. Should match my BFF exactly. And VV capacity makes my (lack of) coil building skills almost irrelevant.

Need to find a good place to order AW IMR 16340's, buy a leather holster for the Grand, and put the theme from "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" on my iPod.

I've been told the first batch of the atty is now in production. No other details, such as an exact release date, distributor or price has been released yet.

I can also see this taking the place of his current Infinity rebuildable atty....after all, it is a bottom AND top feeder...rebuild another piece that would take an ego c tank, and there you go.

Tried a nice intermediate step until my VV Grand gets here (maybe even by Monday or even Saturday!). Took Sterno's suggestion and rigged a piece of wire from the battery spring on my Grand to the brass side catching piece on my Kick beta 1. No way in hell was I going to scratch off the anodizing on my polished yellowjacket to make it work natively.

It's not perfection. It's clumsy and inelegant, and a bit twitchy. I can't adjust the settings on the fly, and I'm spoiled by the battery life of 18650 IMR's. But it has the advantages of making my lack of coil winding talent irrelevant, and ensuring that I'm consistently getting the same quality of vape with every hit of the button.

But I'm still SO looking forward to trying VV on the Grand.

Okay, so it's not me...

Thought the BFF was a helluva lot harder to thread in the holes with this last coil...turns out the diodes turned a bit on me....may have over tightened the top screws a bit. Was able to manually adjust them to line up easy-peasey, and no problems with the mod after that (thank God). Sent in an email to Mark to ensure everything's still groovy.
