OW! I seem to remember you mentioning having broken the toe before...

I wonder if there's a way you can store some boxes somewhere with off-season clothes since you won't have that room to use. Man, I hate to see perfectly good clothes slip away! On the flip side, I suppose you might get some new things later?

Your daughter sounds like a gem.

That's what I said! Stupid chair..out of place! I will box my extra clothes and store them for now. A girl needs her fat clothes, normal clothes and in your dreams clothes! OMG..the shoes and purses...make up..Ratz.
I hope to start losing weight..not very hungry and walking the dog more. When daughter moves in next week we will walk together..thinking of getting bikes.
I do have that stupid shed out back..with some drywall a person could live it it..lol (for storage I mean)

My house looks horrible! It's so empty! We are giving away what we don't need and moving the rest around. I am pooped! My daughter will bring in her couch and dining room table in tomorrow as well as bedding and clothes. Tonight we will start cleaning out Mike's things and storing what I want to keep.
Didn't I just move in here? Seems like yesterday..(year and a half). Life changes and you go with it or stagnate. I keep thinking that he will be mad at me for changing things. We worked hard to get things just right for us. I know that's crazy, he would be thankful I have the kids around and pleased with me for doing the things I need to do and staying the course with our plan.
My main concern for now is that my memory is wonky..I can't seem to keep anything in my head for more then a few minutes at a time. It's like it is too full. I guess it will sort itself out.
I wish things with Classy and Steve would improve..I keep praying for his swift recovery and her peace of mind.

Mary Kay minds get cloudy and forgetful when we are going through hard things.I think its a safety feature. When Jeff was real sick and I was stressed out I forgot to pay a few bills and things got backed up but when everything calmed down I got it all together. Give yourself time and dont worry about it. Its not that important in the big scheme of things. (((Hugs!))) Take your time and try to relax.

You're going through tons of changes and stress- and there's only some much you can focus on at one time. Keyzy's right, as you get re-settled and used to the changes in your life and surroundings you'll begin to be able focus again.

You worked hard to get things right for the two of you, and now you're working to get them right again. Your strength and resilience amazes me- even if it doesn't feel like you have much of either right now, you are amazing. (((hugs)))

Mary Kay... it's going to take time. It's all new and painful. It's still so raw. You have to find your new "normal," your new daily routine. It's a slow process, but it's going to happen, somewhere down the road.

In the meantime, lean on your friends and family and allow yourself plenty of time to grieve. There is no other way.

Love and hugs and best wishes. Hang in there.

We got my daughter mostly moved in.(Just closthes left..) Now she will have to clean her apt. We have some of our stuff in storage and the poor carport is loaded up once again! But we are doing our best to blend the houses. I will clean out Mike's clothes today to make room. So much of it is new..abeit..slightly smokey. He has two new suits, I am going to have them altered for Shawn. The rest will be given away.
Another problem is kitchen stuff! Between the two of us we have tons of pots and pans, dishes and baking things. What I really want to keep will be boxed up for now for my apt. The dishes we will have to compromise on. My blue willow will be separted into a set of 8 for her and a set of 4 for me. I keep the dispay pieces for my China hutch. (If she needs them they will be a door away)
Shawn leaves tonight for school. He doesn't want to leave me..I told him his education was G'pa's job 1. His girlfriend told him she would check on me often for him..such a sweetie.
He has Mike's Air Force pin on his Baseball cap so G'pa can be with him for his college games. One of Mikes dogtags will be under his shirt. Mike really wanted to see him play college ball.(Shawn's first game is on Tuesday in a tournament in Myrtle beach).
Jake has another dogtag on his keychain..so G'pa can go to school with him. (Mike was always bragging about how smart Jake is..Mike admired intelligent people). The boys are really taking this hard. Shawn wrote on face book that he will be the man G'pa wanted him to be.
The house feels over stuffed..lol But as each room gets squared away it will get better. We now have 2 dogs! My big white shepard and Laura's little..cross of maltese and shih tzu. Both named Sheba! Mine is 7 hers is 13. So far so good..but both need a bath and grooming. laura also has a cat, but since they have only had it for a couple of weeks and it is full grown a friend will take it. My Sheba hates cats unless she raises them and this one has been declawed..horrible practice in my opinion, so can't defend herself from Sheba. I told Jake once lifes gets normal again he can get a house kitten..that should be ok with Sheba.
Mike's oldest friend from Tampa ..they met in 1972 on Mike's first tour in Tampa..came by yesterday..that was really rough.

It sounds like you are really getting things into place. I'm so glad your grandsons have something of Mike to have with them. Going through Mike's clothes is gonna be tough....I'm so very glad you have family with you ((((Big hugs)))

If you yell "sheba" do both dogs come, or do both ignore you ("what?...wasn't me she was calling, must have been you")
