wishing there was some kind of list like this one (for dvds) for e liquids. of course it would be best if it were made a sticky.

The New PQ Tier Thread for Blu-Ray - Rankings - AVS Forum

or maybe a results list from polls taken from users on this forum

it's all subjective but i find that having to view many videos from the great guys that work hard to give them to us still a bit tedious to go through.

the more i think about it the poll idea sound great. as long as people are limited to only vote once, maybe a number system from 1-10. we can see how many votes were entered and
what the average is for the flavor. also there could be a similar system to gage how sweet it is, how much throat hit etc.

does this sound like a good idea?

well something like that.

i think some polls would have to be set up

like this:

rockymountainvapor eliquid marlboro

flavor 8
throat hit 7
vapor 8

but it would have to be set up as a poll so multiple people can vote their number for that particular flavor

we can see the results with stats about how many voted

this thread isn't meant to be "the master list" but a discussion as to what the best way to set it up.

should each flavor "poll" have it's own thread or can they be in a single thread.

i've seen polls on top of threads but one per thread. not multiples.

then when enough data is gathered a "master results list" would be made to track popularity of each flavor.

then when someone is searching for recommended flavors they can reference the master list to guide their purchases.

imagine finding a list that recommended a flavor that got 8,9,10 results from a majority of users. i would buy those in a heartbeat.

Hi Folks-

I've been lurking here for a while and thought I'd jump right in with a post that may be of help.

About me:
Vaping for about two weeks. I bough a 901 from Vapor Guys with a sample of the JC Juice. Great service and fast shipping. After reading various threads about the JC Jiuce, I decided to try something else. Ordered some juice from Wet Your Stick. Once again, great service and fast shipping. I got the Cuban Cigar, Tobacco, Menthol and Vanilla. Been vaping these for about a week and I'm still looking for something better. (for me anyway). I just ordered a bunch of samplers from Liberty Flights so I'll be trying some more.

Anyway................................Here's where I come in.
I think a single source of eJuice reviews is a great idea. Trying to go through all the juice reviws on this site and gathering an opinion on what to buy is and exercise in futility. I'm pretty good in creating database driven web sites and would like to put together something online.(no promises) You would be able to go to the web site (URL is yet to be determined) and look through a database full of reviews. They would be presented in a sortable list.

What do you think??

Go for it, I say. I also have all bit given up.... so many venders and so many reviews its hard to follow.
What I'd like to see is a place where each flavor is listed, then people can say where they got that flavor from and a review of it. So we can have a list o venders that sell the juice and their reviews all in one thread. Kind of like a sticky, but for each flavor.
Come to think of it, with all the flavors that would be a long list. But at least it would be managable and useful.

I've been playing with an online database where everyone will be able to go in and add their own personal reviews. The fields I will have are:

- Reviewed By
- Supplier
- Flavor
- Strength (in MG)
- Base (PG, VG or Other)
- Vapor Production (Rating from 1-10)
- Vapor Flavor (Rating from 1-10)
- Throat Hit (Rating from 1-10)
- Overall Score (Rating from 1-10)
- Comments ( here is where you can write free form text giving your personal opinions)

It's coming along nicely. Stay Tuned!!

Brilliant idea as long as everyone knows it's all relative.

A smoker of 5 years of low nicotine cigarettes that smoked only on the weekends versus a smoker of 30 years of a high nicotine cigarette that chain smoked 7 day a week are not going to taste the same thing.

Taste for everyone is very different. While several may taste "sweet", more may actually smell "sweet" and taste "perfume-y".

You can read review after review--all great, all positive then purchase the exact same thing yourself and it tastes horrid to you.

My husband loves the idea though. He says, "That's the beauty of it though. If there were only one person doing the reviews, or even two, it wouldn't be as useful. But with a consensus of 20 or more people it has more value."

I think you could add a spot for cost as well. Since different vendors sell different sizes of bottles, I would do a cost per ml. If you got 20ml for $15= $.75/ml. You could break out the rating like 0-.30, .31-.40

It's just an idea. I mean if something is all 9s but is $30 for 20ml I don't think I would buy it.

I think for liquid reviews people should also add a few of their 'likes and dislikes' since taste is so subjective. For example, I think Benson and Hedges is a great tobacco flavor. Kind of a cross between Camel and Kent. It could be a daily vaper for me. I like Camel, Kent, 555 and don't like TAB, Flu cured, RY4. That way if you read a review by someone who has similar likes and dislikes there is a better chance the reviewers tastes match yours. Like a simpler version of the reviews on NetFlix.

I also would suggest creating some sort of reports for grouping/metrics purposes. It would be interesting to see if the numbers that come out of the reviews show one vendor's liquids over another having a tendency to produce more vapor. Or which vendor has a tendency to get better reviews overall or by individual category you polling. What about, and I hate to sound like Amazon here, "most helpful" ratings...so viewers can see which REVIEWER is providing the most useful reviews....again, just my two cents...this MIGHT help curb some of the hateful ratings.

whoever said they can do some kind of database thing it would be really cool to do something like last.fm (at least I think thats the site) where you listen to music and it suggests other groups that other people with similar tastes would like.

So then if user Jimmy likes mocha, dulcis and spicy cactus and user Bort likes dulcis and mocha then Bort can get a recommendation of spicy cactus to try.
