I placed my order for these last night :) I won't feel bad destroying these so I can keep my good ones in tact. So, are these pretty much the v1 units? Or are they like the V2 but with tubes that were too short? Saw lots of bad feedback on the V1 with wicking issues along with the leaking, definitely looks like the V2 are a HUGE leap forward.

I looked a little bit and didn't see anything... are there any threads anywhere that talks about the mods/fixes people did with the original ones?

My first one leaked within 15 min from the window. Ripped it apart to rebuild it. I discovered the inner plastic tube was even thinner than the original flux tubes. As expected, there was a large crack at the base of the plastic where its press-fitted. So I decided to turn this one into a syringe tank mod. I wanted to use my whistle tip from my old V2 Giant but it was too small for the new tube so I had to use the old round tip.

ok...i have five of these i got yesterday...so what it looks like is that i am gonna want to replace the inner plastic sleeve with something less prone to cracking...like a syringe cylinder? i am new to any kind of modding so any help would be greatly appreciated! my plan is to use one as is. second one take apart. and then use whatever tips i get and such to make the other three work well and then go back and make the first two work lol if anyone could send me in a direction to find out how to mod these in way that keeps the form factor of the window in the steel tube (rather than a clear tank) that would be awesome! Thanks in advance and May your vaping be long lasting!

prequel units can will leak out the window not due to bad plastic cracking but because the tube is too short. The clear tube is too short and any condensation or juice that gets past the main seal is going to go between the plastic and metal sleeve. A longer tube as in whats in the finished units (I guess) Is what it needs. I have had no luck putting the metal sleeve on a different tank YET.

Mine leaked around the window after a week of use. I don't get it. The maximizer would be a great product if they would use a resistant plastic. I wish they would make a windowless version (all metal). I use the all metal CE2 X. Yes, these sacrifice seeing the liquid level, but all you see with the clearos is the cracks in the plastic.

How about it Danno???? Lets have a windowless Maximizer.

So you did have the plastic crack? I wasn't sure if it was the same kind...
I dont have any to play with but I am sure the revised maximizer has the bugs worked out and no more leaks. It was caused because the clear tube part did not come all the way to the top. condensation and juice can gather between the mouthpeice and the white seal and that can seep in between the metal and plastic coming out through the window. One I am playing with will even draw air in from there if you cover up the bottom and suck on it.
Humm windowless metal might be cool. I make ones almost like this but all clear no metal. Different kind of plastic - no cracks lol

I too think completely solid would be nice, I also think that completely clear would be a cool option too :)

So I got my prequels today and have already destroyed 2, one by disassembly, the other by knocking the post loose while trying to remove the top gasket. Those things are pretty hard to get apart.

I must say the revisions are a night and day difference with the originals. In particular the new ones have never tasted burnt to me, these originals do all the time. I've cut larger notches in the outer gasket on one, I'm also trying a little mod with some teflon tape to see if it might eliminate or minimize leakage. I'll report back later with more of my (mis)adventures :)

i tried one on my dying 510 slim battery and it seemed to work fine. I did "prime" the wick to make sure i didnt burn anything. No leaking from what I can see so far. I can see where the leaking happens and probably from two reasons: 1. the clear cylinder just barely tops or meets the silicone cap and of course liquid can get there when refilling or from condensation in the tip. 2. the black rubber inner tube on the tip is probably not quite long enough to consistently touch the silicone cap around the wick and atty. If that's the case (i dont have xray vision lol) condensation will form alot inside the area on top of the silicone cap and then of course leaking out to the side where the clear cylinder is. So far I havent had any leaks and what I do is make sure that the tip is really well seated in there. Having said that, I am not sure this will be a good travel carto but I will find out over the next few days when I get my epower back up and running! May your vaping be long lasting!

we have eco modders glue, going up later tonight for everyone to buy, it looks like elmers glue and it 100% safe and edible, squeeze it out around the inner tube, let it dry, and problem solved 100% we have a fix!!!!

just so everyone feels safe , ill eat a whole bottle on video, video dont lie.

once its dry its hard and doesnt change in anyway from any type of juice touching it.

eat it? dude i think we trust you lol
I thought about super glue cuz I normally dont worry about that but the outside metal sleeve almost fit around my smallest tank so I want to be able to still take them apart for further potential reusing. These things are really neat. And honestly I can make some nifty stuff but I cant make something that looks like this for ten bucks.
I got some cool ideas but hush for now no spoilers ;)

Right On Bad. But I'll dial the first 6 numbers for the Poision Controll Center in your area just in case.

Hey can you post a link once the eco glue is up on your site?
