I was just playing around and discovered that you get the same effect by just blowing into the carto. It would be like taking really hard drags and hitting the cut off.

I'm sorry. Please explain what you did, what you're talking about. I'm not 100% getting this. And what exactly does this do for the cartos?

I take the carto off the battery and blow it out to get anything burnt out of the carto.

There could be something on the atty that is not burning completely and this cleans it. Or there could be something on the wick that burns when first used that maybe the PG dissolves and the higher VG does not. There could be any number of things that is happening. The higher voltage might burn something and leave it on the atty rather then vaporizing it.

Well I tried it on the one that I was using, which was about half way used up. And at first it smelled burnt. Then I took it off and blew through it, nothing came out. Then I refilled it and it is working great. That initial burnt smell is gone now. And this was a carto that was acting a bit clogged, if you know what I mean. It was a bit hard to vape with. I was getting ready to set it aside for a washing, but now it's as good as new. Better even. Not sure what that does, but it does seem to work.

I tried it and it definitely seems to "renew" the carto. I don't know what exactly is happening, but older "nearly gone" cartos are pretty much revived with this method. I'm vaping an older carto (probably 15 times refilled) that I just did this 'blow through' method on, and it's vaping like it was pretty much new. I suppose it's like dry-burning an atty, except the carto is full...thus, 'wet-burning'.

I'm not sure how or why it works, though, and I shouldn't really be using a single carto this long. They're only like $2.00 each, after all.

Mine was only about half full. And maybe that's why I got a bit of a burnt smell. But it did disappear pretty much right away. And I figured that way, I didn't have to worry about liquid getting into the battery.

hmmm, so ya'll are solving a burned taste by burning it out? Interesting, way to fight fire with fire!

But would that work on a brand new carto that is having that problem? What this seems to do is bring older ones back to life. I wonder about new ones that smell burnt right away. Especially those blanks.

LOL.

I use a high percentage of VG in my juice, 57%. And many people are having a hard time with it in these cartos. I thought sense we were taking about it in this thread I would share what has worked great for me. Many times I get the burnt taste immediately and this seems to fix it for whatever reason.
