If the FDA or other powers that be monitor this forum vaping is doomed for sure.

I wouldn't worry much about that. However, If they are looking at Facebook, we are totally @$!#%&
There are some REALLY dull crayons over there. Then again they still make 4 wheelers/atvs.

I have a friend currently running .13ohm. Sparks like a lighter though. Added some nolax/deoxit. Sparking stopped....YEA!! New problem... after some chain vaping, REO starts to smoke from behind the battery cover. Pull the cover and pop out the battery. Heat is liquifying the nolax/deoxit causing it to smoke....told him to run with it without the nolax/deoxit and see how the button holds up. I will update when I know more.

Personally I think he is certifiably nuts. Raise the nic from 6 to 10-12 and double the resistance. He just says no, that he likes a warm vape. Personally I am not a fan of roasted lung tissue or roasted tongue but to each their own.

Watching him hit the damn thing it sounds like he is trying to inhale the whole mod. I take drags at about the same intensity as I took drags from the coffin nails. Then again he is only 20 and I smoked for longer than he has been alive.

Don't worry. With that kind of foolishness his battery will overheat and the spring will collapse within a week, guaranteed. Then he'll be back at square one "wondering what he did wrong."

Quick question, what days does Rob ship out mods again? I wrote it down but cant find my sticky note. Need to time my order so either me or the wife is at home.

If you can't be at home, they don't deliver without signature and you can pick up at the post office the next daY

What's the last thing a redneck says before he dies?

Meanwhile, in Metropolis...
Mama calmly sits back, biding her time, waiting for the widows (of the over-enthusiastic lung-burners) to post upgraded Reos for a pittance in the classys...
:)
ok, i'm actually waiting to get off my lazy .... to send a Reo in to get upgraded. can't do it one-handed.

Mama-T is pointing out a great opportunity here for folks on a budget. :)

I'll be updating my litter with new contacts and trading them all in for the LP versions that can run all my subΩ AFC setups. And I know I'm not the only one. It's likely at least one of them will end up in the classifieds.

nothing new there... but what IS new is that there is going to be a huge influx of s/o b/f users.. huge i tell ya

what Rob did for me (upgrade my old Grand to LP/SO) is going to be here today or tomorrow...

0.40 ohms is my norm for the RM2 fuse modded Grand; and the only reason for lung burn is if i get a dry hit; which is a "my bad" for a vet... which would be the only reason a newb would want to sell their S/O...

uhh or a short ... or...

huge i tell ya

Likewise. As long as the wick stays saturated, it's fantastic.

So warning to everyone.. Vape production is not a fair way to judge battery life with these new contacts.

Disclaimer I was n the field last night and was minorly distracted.

I killed one of my aw imrs last night... Vaped it down to 2.8v this battery is going to be properly disposed of...

Just a fair warning to all

I nearly did that as well, but was lucky I didn't over discharge, it was at 3.2 IIRC. I've since remedied the situation by changing batteries on a schedule, 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. My batteries will probably thank me for it, since the collective wisdom says that if you drain them less, they last longer. I *could* only change once a day, but that's really pushing them. This way, if something comes up that prevents my normal swap time, I'm confident I can go "over" by several hours without overdischarging.

ETA: My near mishap was before I installed the improved contacts, so it's a concern for all of us.

AW IMR's are ok to discharge down to 2.5v. I have the Panasonic CGR's, (they are the same), and have done that on a few occasions and freaked out when the charger wouldn't acknowledge it had a battery in the charging bay. The light came on about 30 seconds after I put it in the bay. Although I wouldn't recommend doing this all that often, but again, 2.5v is ok. If you go lower than that, I would suggest disposing of it.
