Quit smoking tobacco Since: I started ecigs early Sept but I would shamefully admit that I still smoke analogs once in awhile :/

How you get to know e-cig: Weird story, I first found an advertisement in The Rolling Stones magazine (for blucig) and decided to google to find out more

Used Brand Models: Joye 510-T, Joye eGo-T, several brand-less ones

Current brand Models: Still puffing on some of my 510s once in awhile though I am predominantly on my eGo-T

Best Favor like: Del's Ultimate Pipe, DeKang RY4, DeKang TAB, the occasional DeKang Green Tea (slurps!)

Story: Admittedly I first got started on ecigs when my best friend proposed a bet to me (3months off and she'll treat me to dinner at anywhere in Singapore) and I accepted it to prove everyone who said I could not quit wrong. I started googling for alternatives and boom chanced upon an ecig ad one day, and lets just say, the rest is history. To date, I think I've spent way too much money on my hardwares and juices, but so far so good. Almost all the non-smoker friends I know noticed that I no longer have a cigarette smell on my clothes and fingers, one of them has even allowed me to vape openly in her house \o/ With luck, I'll be able to stop that occasional analog smoke. Hee!!

O and why does it seem like I'm the only girl in this forum? Haaa!

How you get to know ECF: My friend told me about this place, therefore, here I am! The irony of it all is, he's never been to ECF!

Current brand of E-cig: The V.E.T!!

Flavors tested so far: Redbull, French Vanilla, Ice Blast, Peach, Sweet tabacco!!

Story: I started smoking @ the age of 14 due to succumbing peer pressure. It seems at that point of time. My smoking habit grew so heavy that I started smoking Djarums @age 16. At that point of time, Djarums was as heavy as Malaysia's Gudang Garam. So, I really love it alot. Up until when I entered National Service, I was smoking Drum rolling tabacco and experimented with pipes @age 20.

Anyway, to cut the story short, I am now 30 years old, not having enough will to quit, but @ the same time thinking about my 2 growing babies, I limited myself to smoking only under the block. But... Still not enough!!! Do you ever get the feeling after a smoke, that you felt like dying?

I did. At this point of time, nothing can satisfy my analogs cravings except Indonesia's Gudang Garam Surya and Filterless Dji Sam Soe(234) ( Don't ask me how I get it)

Until I saw my friend using the E-cig. All he did was explaining all the advantages and disadvantages of an E-cig. 30 minutes later, I was sold. I was so gonna get the E-cig.

Imagine my joy when I finally laid my hand on it, and vape my 1st puff.

Now, I can proudly say that I do not harm anyone's health in any way!!

My Gripe: I still love the taste of cloves very much. But my friend said it's just not the same with vaping. SO! If anyone managed to get a good tasting Clove juice! Please share with me!! Thanks in advance!!

Story: I'm been vaping for about 5 months plus but had spent way too much on Mods.. Never been satisfied with what i have and still hoping to get more Mods and learning everyday. A total GG addict!!

Story: Bout 15 years of smoking Reds, Camel unfiltered (years ago), Gudang Garams whenever I'm overseas, etc. Till date, I'm still going on a pack a day or more and seriously lacking the willpower to call it quits.

Gonna look around to see if I can get one in. Hopefully with my own kit and God willing, I'll be able to say goodbye to analogs.

On a side note, it's nice to see flavours and a possibility in mixing juices. Brings me back to years ago when I was mixing flavours for pipe smoking.

How do You get to know ecig : From the internet

Used/current brand models : Ego-t, 510-t, Xpower, plus a couple of unknown types i used at the beginning. Tried different atomizers/cartos and most liked is 510 atomizers.

Best flavor like : peppermint, green mint, menthol, blueberry, strawberry, grape.

Story : Smoked for almost 20 years. Really dislike the unhealthy feeling of analogs but couldn't kick the habit after many tries. Used PV as a method for quitting and has been successful. Feeling much healthier than before and no more bad breath! Am also happy that i'm not harming my family members and pets with my 2nd hand smoke anymore.

Story: My non smoker brother introduced me to e-cigs a couple of years ago. Picked it up. Tried it. Tossed it away. There were no information back then on how to use it, flavors or online information. Couple of weeks back, I visited my 18 mths niece for the first time. She refused to let me hold her and become restless when she walk to my room. My sister-in-law said being a child, she is very sensitive to smell.

Thats when I remembered about e-cigs again (its sold otc in sydney markets). This time, i was insistent to give it a try again. Went to the web and look up, found this forum and picked up a spanking new Ego-T.

My niece loves coming in to my room now, climbs on my bed and starts jiggling to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=astISOttCQ0 . She absolutely loves the fruity smell of the room. Her dad and mom are also more then happy to let her hang-out with me.

For 17 years, I have never smoked less then a 20s pack a day. Yes. NEVER. Never when I was hospitalised for Dengue Fever. Never, when i had 3 wisdom teeth removed and mouth swelled to a football with bleeding gums. Never, When My GP told me my High blood pressure will kill me in 5yrs time (158/90). Never, when i was attending that all important career advancement interview and told the interviewer hates smokers. After picking up and e-cig for the first day, I smoked 3 sticks anddin't have the urge for another. Will i quit smoking? Yes. When? When I can pick up an e-cig in front of my MP. Its not legal in NSW yet, but I believe it will be.

Story: got interested and have my friend buy one for me. didn't know it was illegal back then. now i'm totally off analogs and feels so much healthier. if you ask me should i continue breaking the law to keep myself healthy until i can totally quit, the answer is an obvious yes. they (gov) can continue their campaign for the profits of analaogs, i just want my health back.

How you get to know e-cig: Saw once on movie guy smoking in restaurant says hes trying to quit n its only vapour. Recently saw a local vaping, approached him and asked then got to know about here. (dunno his nick here)

Story: Started smoking for abt 10yrs now. But became heavy 7 years ago due to NS and work after that etc. Tends to chain smoke up to 1 n a half pack during drinking session or gaming session. So now, first thing to notice is definitely the smell. No more stinky fingers and lingering smell in the kitchen when my mum wakes up in the morning. Sense of smell getting more sensitive and taste buds more picky (dunno gd or bad lol) Next is of course me and my gf's health. I started noticing my gf having bad cough for prolonged period so thats when i decided i need to stop smoking. Tried and failed so far untill vaping. First time 3 weeks straight nvr go cheers and buy Next Chill =x. So far so good and will continue to vape till i no longer nid the nic in my juice. First 3 days kept having flu. 2nd week till now having bad chesty cough. During the first week of the cough, phelgm is clear but contains spots of black stuff (eww) Guess that a good enuff reason for those still smoking tobacco leaves to stop putting those things into ur body~ Got 3 uncles to swap to vaping but still waiting their sets to arrive =)

Story: in september I came across my friend surfing some e-cig site trying to buy them off the net. Then we joined ecf and got our kits. He got a reo mini though. Been smoking 1997 after my O' levels till I got into vaping. Ever since my wife didn't complain abt the smell and my mum don't give me the dirty look when I smoke outside the house. My baby boy also do not have to bear the ill effects of 2nd hand smoke. It is liberating!

Best Favor like: Currently only have 3 bottles so no favourite - Watermelon, Coffee, Menthol (11mg, VG)

Story: Had tried cold turkey to get off analogs (several attempts actually) but failed cos the craving was too much. With a new baby due in a couple of months, decided to get rid of those smelly cancer sticks and replace with a 'healthier' alternative...glad that it's working great for me

Just barely a week, I'm already on the lookout for awesome mods (either ProVari or GGTS)...eGo-T just doesn't seem to be the one.

Here in sg, mechanical mods are better as you can repair them yourself. Not convenient to post back and forth for servicing ..... Having said that, I have had awesome vapes from a cheap vv box mod tho.... Hahaha so get both.....

Story: I'm a young smoker. Smoked for 3 years and have always thought of quitting in the future.
Never thought it would be so soon! Found e-Cigs online and thought I'll give it a try.
Perhaps the other reason was due to that I came overseas and it was easier to obtain.
I've now found another addiction and I'm more determined not to go back to analogs!

The other turning point would probably be when I actually head back to SG for good. Whether I could still get supplies, mods, juices,etc when I'm back. Well, that wont be for another few years so lets hope there are some positive changes for vapers!

Story: I m a chain heavy analog smoker in the past. I smoke 2 and a half packs of cigarette a day. As the ciggy price went sky rocket high, I soon realised that i was spending approx $30 a day ($900 a month) at $12 bucks per pack. Then I decided that it was no good for my pocket. I decided to hunt down illegal ciggy seller and got my monthly supply at approx half the price. My monthly cost reduced to approx $450 instead. I soon realised that my health became he issue due to the ingredient found in illegal ciggy. I started to have soar throat and migrain and eventually causes me to perform badly at work. I feel sick easily and I decided to re-look into what went wrong.
1. I am a heavy chain smoker (5 ciggy at one go)
2. Do I really need that much nicotine in my system at one go? the answer is no
3. How much nicotine I need then? the answer is one ciggyful of nicotine
4. Then why do you need to smoke 5 sticks in a row? the answer is the first stick is for the nicotine while the remaining 4 sticksare for the smoking motion only.
4. The solution --> 1st ciggy = analog cigarette (for the nicotine) and the remaining 4 ciggy should be E-CIGARETTE

Results: I cut down analog cigarette by 80 percent and my savings is $320 a month.

My opinion and personal advise: If you are a heavy smoker but not a heavy nicotine consumer, I would advise you to get the zero nicotine e-liquid instead. Use analog ciggy for the initial nicotine intake and then follow through with e-cigarette for that 1 session of chain smoking. If you include nicotine in the e-cigarette, you would end up consuming more nicotine than what your body is required. However, if you are a chain smoker and a heavy consumer of nicotine, then by all means, switch to nicotine-based e-cig 100 percent and throw away the analog.

Feeling fantastic, sleeping better than I have in years. I was a smoker for 23years, tried other methods of quitting and none I stuck with. This has been my longest and most enjoyable quit method ever. I will never go back to smoking.
