Why not go for a real mod instead of Janty's gimmicky made in china junk , the ego may last longer than a standard 510 battery but not longer than say a good Mod ie: Adaptever , GG , Silverbullet ,Prodigy, Chuck.

These devices offer more options and are almost indestructible . I have never tried the ego it looks cool and slim but with the proprietary batteries and such I'd stay away from it personally and the switch is just bound to fail eventually leaving you with a worthless piece of junk .

The other mod devices are a little bit more costly than a chinese toy but will provide you with a longer life span and less trouble more vaping .

Just my Opinion , Tommy

I have a chuck, and a bartleby on the way. I just happen to like the way this looks, and like the battery life. I'm not really going to walk around in public with a chuck (far too big imo). And I'd like a backup if my bart goes dead. For 20$, I'd say this battery is a steal.

I own several mods and believe me..the tornado battery lasts longer than any of them! I love it! Its small...to me thats a plus..and I think its classy looking. When I started out I used a red dragon...an E9, and those batteries were $27 each. They lasted all of 1-2 hours! The tornado is great! I love the way it looks! :)

I think a good reason to get a eGo or Tornado instead of the ones you mentioned is if one of those mods you mentioned break after the warrenty period you're screwed. If the eGo or Tornado break, all you have to buy is a new battery which is only $22.99 at totally wicked.

All the mods I mentioned other than the prodigy and well protege , are all mechanical and will not break the only thing that can go on you is the batteries and they cost less than $5 compared to $22.99 .

As for the atomizers being made in China yes that is the only place that makes atomizers as of right now . but at the price I get atomizers at ,if they last a day or a couple of months fine with me they are throw away items .

I have only used it for a few days, and was going to wait a little while before posting any comments on it,,, but I felt compelled to post something here for the time being.

if you want an ego because you want a "mod" I would say DON'T.. and get one of the other suggested "mods" i.e. chuck, silver bullet, Super T,,,,, etc etc

if you are not satisfied with 3.7v at anypoint of the charge with the device you are using currently you WON"T be satisfied with this.

if you are normally a traditional ecig battery user... i.e. the cigarette looking batteries with the LED then you may want to look into the ego

DO BUY one

1. like stated before you use traditional ecigs and are looking for an improved version

2. like the look... it is classy

3. it is only a slight price increase compared to the traditionals but has a longer lasting charge meaning it will have that vape you are looking for for a longer time span

4. as far as the button.... it is IMO much better then normal manual ecigs

There are pluses and minuses that I will elabriate more on after more "Testing"

But the FACT is it is better then the standard NO DOUBT

and who knows by the time you need another battery something else maybe out there that you will like to upgrade to.

Mechanical things break all the time, ask GrimmGreen about his protege button breaking, I've also heard others that have had similiar problems with their mechanical device.

I do understand your point though, my first mod was from a company you also purchased from, and I purchased from them because of the reasons you mentioned. I just find I like the eGo better.

Wellll..... I guess if you want to get all nit-picky....

The eGo/Tornado (TorneGo) actually does use a somewhat standard battery. It's a 130450R... and it looks like I can buy them for a couple of bucks.

Yeah.. there's a bit of a trick to getting them out.... but if one failed and for some reason I just couldn't spare the $22.50... well..... I have an option.

But since the thing will probably have served me well for many, many months (like all of my other Joye 510 batteries).... I'll probably just pony up another $20.

I received ny Janty Stick V3 a couple of weeks ago and promptly set it all up, plugging the micro USB cable in to start using the Stick while the other battery was in the charger. The stick flashed red at first and gradually went white (I have the ipod white one) and eventually flashed blue. So, red means charging, right? and white is when the battery is charged, then blue means the battery needs charging.

After that first time, I never see the red flashing any more and the USB charger does not seem to be charging the batteries at all. They still charge in the wall charger, so I've just been using that, but is there any way I'm doing something wrong with the USB charger or is it broken? I've also tried other micro USB cords and they don't work either, so it's not the cord, it's the Stick.

Another thing, the batteries I got from Janty seem to hold a charge pretty well, but the UltraFire batteries I ordered off the net are pretty hit and miss. Several of them never worked. Is this everyone else's experience, too, or did I get some particularly bad ones?

The USB charging circuit on my V2 Stick stopped working after several months of trouble free performance. Ethan at Janty USA replaced it right away under warranty.

I no longer buy Ultrafire batteries. The mah rating is typically way overstated, and as you have experienced, there is a high percentage of duds. I have yet to receive a dud from Janty (dud meaning it won't take a charge). Typically they would appear to charge up with a wall charger, but would only last for 4 - 5 puffs.

The other night all the sudden my atty started running hot. It was really nice I thought this must be what its like at 5v. It ran hot for like 2 carts then all the sudden it went cold. I was bummed. I checked it on the ohm meter and it still reads 2.3 ohms. It still works but does not produce any vapor. Here is what Scottbee says.

Fair warning..... if you try everything (cleaning, new cartridge, etc..) and it still has a hard draw: you may have overheated the atty and melted an internal component (venturi insulating disk). Once that happens, there's no easy way to get it back.

Could my atty venturi disk be melted? If so will the warrenty cover this?

FWIW, when charging, the light is red. When it's finished charging the light turns OFF, no changing colors. Sounds like your stick is FUBAR and you should get a replacement.

The batteries have always been a hit or miss affair, good thing they're cheap.

BTW, if you vape the V3 while it's plugged in to the USB charger, does the light stay red or white when you push the button?
