  • Yes, I would buy a colored ego over what is available right now.

Rather rude to mention another vendor in a sub-forum don't you think?

With that said:

I buy Janty products because they actually designed the Ego and hope my purchases will continue that innovation. They also oversee the manufacturing of their Ego to maintain quality standards.

Their Ego comes with a 6 month warranty.

I had an atty go cold on me. I used their online help ticket to request an exchange-- Ethan at Janty USA responded appropriately and the exchange proceeded without a hitch. Their customer service was as good as advertised.

Mik, the head designer of Janty, frequents this forum and within reason answers tough and easy queries. It's not always complementary to Janty here and some times can be heated, but there still seems to be an attempt at valuing customer's views. This is good for them and me.

Unless Janty substantially alters any of these good practices or somebody improves upon them,
I think they're the one to buy from.

After modifying my carts, 510 carts have issues cited everywhere, I'm loving my Ego.

Well - I am leaning towards ordering from Janty...but I can't help it...I did like the other colors of the 'other brand'... But, if I go with black I will just order it from them because I want to give them the credit for designing it.... And I like their warranty... But, I still would like to know about the paint issue. I didn't mean to sound rude...but I didn't know where else to post this since this seemed like the correct forum.

I'm new to this form of communication and this ecig world so let me say-- If you're currently overwhelmed by all this, I apologize for being rude to you about what I presumed to be your being rude--whew:laugh:

I've had my Janty Ego since mid April with no paint problems. The color of the product isn't a big issue for me, although I don't particularly want it to stand out. I work in a no-smoking environment and currently ecigs are not forbidden. I think if I were more obviously using my PV there, inevitably someone would find it their duty to gather some allies and impose their will upon the minority -- me.

vermonter16, hopefully others will respond here, including a Janty rep., to give you their experiences. Hang in there, you know why my bias is Janty.

No worries. I didn't take any offense and I didn't think you were being rude. I am new at this and it will be my first PV. I'm just trying to figure everything out. I completely understood where you were coming from in your last post and I was like....wow...I truly did not mean to offend anyone....progg is right....why am I posting in a Janty forum...maybe I should have posted in two different forums. Thanks for your last response though. I appreciate it.

I was hunting down a cartomizer that was in the 2.5 ohm resistance range today when i came across this: Janty World - Review of the big eGo atomizer & cart - Janty World | Janty World

the important part of this for me is :
Mega eGo Cartomizer
Plastic housing
Resistance of 2.65 Ohms
Length 55mm
Thickness 14mm
Weight 5.48gr
Liquid: RY4 24mg very much Tobacco :)

Couple of questions.... When can i buy these! Where can i buy these!

and lastly, will they come in blanks? im not a huge fan of prefilled carts...

Thank you,
J

It's been about a week now since I received my Ego and it is definitely a different beast than the Stick...I was so used to the 801 atty it took me a while to come around to the 510...At first it seems a little harsh compared to the 801 however after a little acclimation I am starting to like the warmer vapor...I think the flavors are more pronounced and vapor production is as great if not better than the stick. Since my Stick is DOA I have nothing to compare side by side, I am only going off my memories of my Stick...The battery life on the Ego is perfect for me with the standard atty...I am averaging one full day worth of vaping on a single charge, for the past week my battery has died of the evening all within 30 minutes or so of each other...

I only have two complaints and they stem from the atty...One is the tip on the 510 atty is way different than my 801...I think the disappointment comes from the draw hole, it is too restrictive for my liking, so I enlarged it with a Dremel tool and temporarily solved that issue...I will be getting some T-tips for this guy ASAP...

My other pet peeve is the atty leaking...I've tried everything I can possibly think of and I can not get this thing to stop leaking...For the past 2 years on my 801s I have always dripped and never had a real issue...Of course the occasional leak, but not all the time day in day out...What is up with the 510 atty? Does it always leak? I've tried it all and it always seems to leak...I even tried swithing attys to a LR atty I got at the time I purchased my Ego and it too leaks...Any ideas, besides too much liquid??

Regarding the batteries, I think you should charge them as often as possible to extend their lifetime. Just like cell phone batteries and everything else these days. (The myths about memory effects came from a 10 yo technology and doesn't apply to lithium)

Regarding the leaks, I think it's normal. FWIW, in a primed atty, I use two drops from my regular droppers or three drops from my tiny bottles. More than that results in leaking.
