I have an adapter and cartos to use on my eGo at times as well..in reguards to that..I'd say that as far as harshness goes it's not quite as harsh but you'll get a little of that since the eGo (or standard 510 battery for that matter) don't run under load at a true 3.7V but down a little at 3.1V or so..
The cone will prewarm the incoming air...however it needs to also be mentioned that via adapter and the cone that it will stiffen up the draw too...I like this because I find a standard KR8 to be far far too airy for my liking and the adapter and cone fix that for me..it might however be something that you don't like..

Hi Drozd,

Thank you for your input. I have to admit I don't really understand all the voltage stuff and how it affects the e-cig. Lower voltage does affect amount of vapor correct? I honestly don't know if I would like a stiffer draw or not. I swear I sometimes get a headache from drawing on the KR8 batteries. Is that because it is too airy to get a good hit?

I've actually come into the office for a few hours today. I generally don't check my ecf PM's as I already have waaaaay too many emails to read and channels through which people can contact me, so stick with the janty emails and help desk if you don't mind.

Bella,
I will look into your email now. Sorry for the delay.

I love to procrastinate!

Mik....see you in 20 hours for the festival ;)

hmmmm Both my batts only last about 4 hours of heavy vaping at the computer--I've timed it. I am kind of confused though. Before I knew what was what I bought the TW Tornado. From what I understand it's basically the ego that they license from janty and rebrand? or is it a knockoff? So are the batteries the same?

Sorry. I am just confused. The whole ecig industry is so convoluted and chaotic. I was under the impression TW was a distributor for Janty? Did you guys invent this or is this a product from Joye? And people like Janty and TW license from them? But if you guys did "invent" the ego and it recycles parts from the 510 which would be partly licensed from Joye? Confusing. LOL

Anyways, I didn't mean to stir up any hard feelings. That's one thing I have noticed is the whole industry is aggressively competitive--even ECF with other forums. I guess it being a fresh wide open market, everybody is reaching for market share, almost to the point of alienating their potential customer base.

Anyways, I will buy from janty next time. I want the original (or I guess?). :D

Hey Animus,

Well - first of all dont be sorry - i might also have come off a bit harsh, but the thing is we get ALOT of customers that cant get answers when they buy either a knockoff, or one of our rebranded products from the place they buy it and most people expect us to support them.

We - at Janty - offer alot of things, we have great products, such as the Tornado - which is actually a Janty eGo, and which TW has bought the rights to rebrand under their own name - and at the same time we offer a great customer service, plus we have 6 months warranty on almost all parts.

So naturally when someone comes here to ask about these things, and its clear that they have not bought it at Janty, then we are very hesitant to help them out. Mainly because they have chosen another vendor, and this means that if the vendor gives them less than we would have they now are suffering from that - and can not just pick and choose. I mean thats fair, i think you will agree ?

But to answer your questions - Janty develops and designs. We are the original designers and developers of the Janty Kissbox, The Jantystick, The Dura and now the Janty eGo - our factory for doing this is Joyetech. We have different systems in place where other people can carry Janty products, and by doing so they also are able to offer our quality warranty, but when it comes to the customer service you should buy from Janty World - Janty World in order to receive this: I can not speak for any other vendor, but i know how high our standard is here - if you dont believe me take a minute or twenty and browse some of the posts on this forum! :)

And yes, it IS a chaotic market - so i definately do not blame you for asking us here - i hope you as well dont blame me for the answer i gave you.

As for your original question - its hard to say how long they should last as this depends on the way you vape. But i think we have established that only the purest of hardcore vapers can make a manual button eGo run dry in below 6 hours - so if you are to make yours run out in 4 .. that does sound a bit wild. It could be that the AUTO function actually consumes /wastes a bit of power - i dont know that yet - we have yet to see the numbers from our customers on the boards.

But feel free to ask around and see if people are able to give you some vape times and compare!

Just as an idea I would contact the vendor you bought that from. 4 hours is on the low side for the unit. During a vapefest at my on PC i can rip through a battery but for me that is about 6 hours on average and that is me almost vaping non stop. Even when I am out in the field and vaping all day I get the batteries to last at least 8 hours. Like I said I would speak with the vendor you bought them from and see what their answer is. Hope it all works out for you.

Sorry if this isn't the best place to post this, but I don't have privileges to start a new thread yet. I've only been vaping for a few weeks now (started on a 510), and just received my V3 Stick from JantyUSA on Thursday. I hate to say it, but so far I'm really not all that impressed with the JS - but it could well be user error, being so new to vaping. The drags on the JS are phnomenal (huge vapor and flavor, nice mellow throat hit) - well, sometimes it's phenomenal. That's my problem - the lack of consistancy between drags, and I seem to get way more weak, flavorless ones than good ones. To me it seems to be an issue with the carts (Janty supplied prefilled RY4). I had ordered a spare atomizer, so I tried the spare with the same results - I've probably used each atty for a couple of hours now. I did blow the primer out of the attys, not sure if two hours is sufficient for "break-in". But I also did away with the carts and tried direct dripping - WOW what huge consistent hits - too strong and harsh for my tastes though, and the inconvenience of having to constantly drip isn't for me. .Dripping seemed to point to it being a cart problem, so I tinkered around with the carts a bit. Still plenty of juice in the two carts I had tried. Did the straw mod with a coffee stirrer, but that didn't help with consistent hits either..

Please someone jump in here and tell me what I'm doing wrong .I really want to like this Janty..I really don't want to get into trying one mod after the other to get this thing to perform. That's what turned me off of the 510 and made me decide to try the JS - that and the great stuff I had read about the 801 style atomizers. I guess what I'm really looking for is something I can just grab and go with, without a ton of tinkering to make it work the way I expect it to. The past 2 weeks I find myelf keeping on buying more cigarettes rather than using my e-cigs just because of their ease of use - just light one and smoke. .I have a full time job, commuting 3 or 4 hours each day, and come home to my wife and three small children - I just don't seem to find any free time any more. I actually bought a 25 year old Harley two years ago hoping to fix it up - it's still sitting there half disassembled in the garage - who knows when I'll get time to work on that. (Actually I guess it's pretty obvious why I smoke in the first place! LOL)

Maybe I should have tried a cartomizer model? Are those much lower maintenance? .Maybe I should have researched more before I dumped $200 dollars in this experiment (haha -yeah that would just take more time! :p ). I need some help, advice, ideas here on where to go next. I actually had a heart attack two years ago at age 38 - been trying quit ever since and I kind of feel like these e-cigs are my only hope now. I really want to be around to see my kids grow up..
