What she said, LOL

801 is my choice to vape 90% of the time... and they do leak. I don't find any difference between the DSE801 or generic. Keeping fresh cart material in them is key too.

If the liquid is too runny, I add a bit of VG and it helps so the carts don't sweat so bad and run up in the mouth piece. I'd rather top off more often then over fill and get a mouthfull of liquid.

I also try to wipe the cart down often and keep the atty blown out. I bought a small cheapo hand air pump (to air up toys, etc.) at the dollar store and took the screw on fitting off of it and I just hold up the atty at the connector side and push the plunger to force extra juice out of the atty. Keeps my ears from blowing out (and I don't have to make that stupid face to clear an atomizer, ha).

Just a different take, looks nice, hopefully in metal. I'd bet it's got a USB port and a similar cigar type battery in it from the looks of it.. Two weeks of experiencing the Stick and its failings tells me that the wiring from the Cameo's body to the atomizer will end up being a weak point. The other weak point will be Janty's continued non-response to those who try contacting them asking for repair or replacement under their so called warrantee.

Well, hopefully there are some 'lessons learned' going on with Janty. It's not easy bringing a different sort of product to market (I've done so..things that should go well, or have always gone well..sometimes just don't  ).

Janty seems at least active on the forum, and is bringing out some products with good ideas - I do hope it's simply a learning process, versus 'the pennypinchers' that have caused the issues that seem to exist for the JS.

The Cameo looks cool to be, and if through JS revisions, I'm confident they've improved product or initial quality, I don't doubt both the JS2 (metal, please) and (metal) Cameo might both have a home with me.

No experience with the customer service, just what have read..seems like JantyUSA has had serious ups and downs...obviously that will play a role in my future purchasing decisions, but I do believe people, and companies, can improve where lacking..and I hope they do!

I guess that's a good comprimise then. Let's hope my button makes it until July then

Again, I like what the stick does. I just want it to last.

I think this is way more than a "good compromise". Actually, I don't see how we/you are compromising anything other than a small wait to get V2 with the bugs worked out, but they are even taking care of us/you in the meantime including shipping, shipping back, etc., etc., etc. I am sure most any other company would not step to the plate like this, but rather just instruct the customer to send it back for repair on the customer's dime and who knows what you would get back (probably the same device with some added glue).

They are going way above and beyond in the name of customer service here. They should be applauded and we should all return the favor in the forum of future business and positive comments to all we come across. They have earned my future business and a very loyal customer in me.

Not saying it shouldn't always be handled like this from any company, but they 'get it' and are doing the right thing by far here. I hope we all SHOW appreciation for this in the forum of return business, etc.

Stick with the stick, stick with us, you will be taken care of and you will enjoy the best vaporizers around :)

Argh...I am having the same issues. Battery sticker (not a good design) peeling off...the switch stuck ON on the thing....I had to peel the sticker back (which little did I know was already unadhered) to fit it back to place. How can I go about getting the body replacement and v2 upgrade?

I didn't want to sound like a whiney .... and I apologize if I did. I must've forked a good $1000 at least in the last two and a half months because I feel that my health with vaping is more important than me than ever turning back to cigarettes. I switched to PVs literally a week after I went to the hospital twice for asthma attacks and I never suffered from asthma before. And guess what? It all stopped when I stopped smoking analogs. If they are going to be that nice and make the compromise to help me out with a bad switch then I'll gladly give them my money instead with future purchases.

Haha, I went to respond to your last sentence and it is gone, cool no need, you get it. We get this great customer service and in the case of the stick, we do not have to pay a premium for it as Ludo pointed out.

Glad to here all your asthma stopped, that is awesome! I still smoke a couple / few per day but am down from 20 to 30 or even 40 per day and I am breathing much better too. I have dealt with mild asthma my entire life (just get attacks every now and again mainly when sick). I'll see if they happen less frequent, but the amazing part is the rattle in my chest and 'smokers cough' is gone in just the first day of cutting back and I breath and feel so much better (I wouldn't have expected any improvement until I quite analogs 100%). I too have dropped a couple of grand between my wife and I and the FDA. Money well spent, IMHO.

I was impressed with my original purchase and how quick it shipped, etc. and the product (luv it and want it to last too), but Janty is really 'going over the top' here, IMHO.

    ///Cheers

My switch still has some functionality and I have other PV's, so I guess I'll just wait for the V2 and not claim warantee until the V2 is ready.

Of course, one could say that all of these bugs should have been discovered by (and fixed by) Janty rather than us customers...but what the heck, it is what it is. If the V2 gives the performance it should I'll be prepared to say "Well done" ,enjoy the product and forget the disappointments and the waiting.

I believe they are trying hard to get it right, so let's cheer them on - Go Janty!

    Agree Glock.

Janty came out with a completely different design, and any problems should have been anticipated by the consumer. IT IS A NEW PRODUCT. I don't want to bash the competition, as their customer service is awesome too, but I have yet to buy their products. I will though as I buy everything

Reading between the lines, it's quite possible, even eminent that the V2 will be offered to V1 owners who have no issues with their device --Free. Or you can just make up an excuse as to why its defective. Bing batta boom, you have the V2 FREE. What more could a consumer ask for? Again, this is a completely different design than the SD, GG, and prodigy which all look very similar to me. Nothing new in the design. Perhaps it can even be called a modification of the SD, since I believe that was the first of those types on the market. There was nothing really new there--that is precisely why I opted for the JS. I can vape the JS in my car without anyone seeing. It is hidden in my palm, even the lights.

To those having problems with Generic 801 atomizers: Yes, some are hard to seat properly. Would you rather have Janty only atomizers? I suspect most of the problem is the carts themselves. The poly fill material is different in size for both the 801, and the 4072. This has caused many problems mentioned in this thread. I just read. (Please do not call this material a wick!--that confuses newbies like me!)

Some USA Suppliers and some Chinese suppliers are selling blank carts specific to neither the 801 or 4072, and the poly filling seems to be a universal size, and performance will be affected by those "universal" carts." They are also poorly made, at least the last batch--the filling is also way too thin. I don't have this problem with Janty carts, and until this bad batch of "universal carts" are off the market, only then will I I will try them. Right now they are abysmal performing carts--causing all kinds of problems to not only JS users, but also the penstyle users, and the SD/Prodigy/GG models if they even use the 801 pen style. Janty didn't know these carts would be produced. And certainly did not anticipate this problem. They couldn't, really.

Lastly, I still love the "good" 801/4072 carts. They hold nearly 1.5 mils. I just pull out the poly fill, and commence to mix my own liquid directly from the blank cart! So easy and painless. Simply put the poly fill back in (preferably you bought your own) and you are good to go.

Janty is a great company based on my short experience with them. Are you hiring Janty? I only work for companies I believe in. Otherwise, what's the point?

    Mike

I actually feel kinda bad for jeff and ethan that they have to replace all those warrantee sticks now. Its like they just got all the sticks out to everyone complaining constantly, now it starts all over again with the V2 replacements to the same people...maybe lets all give them a break with the "hurry up" emails so they will have more time to package and mail than reply to emails...IMO
