Elendil's check list is right on from my experience. I noticed the atty is tight when screwing it in and once in awhile, I haven't had it down that final turn. That did give me less vapor - juice also leached out the bottom and just messed with the whole operation.

I now make sure I have the atty all the way down with a firm but not hard "long" twist - sort of let my fingers slip a bit and feel if there is any twist room left. I've also unscrewed a half turn and then turned it back down to ensure a good seat.

Keeping my carts filled properly was the next key. Fill the bottom, add the batting, fill the top and don't compress down the batting - otherwise all the juice leaks and floods atty or nothing flows and no vapor.

And if you still have issues, contact Janty!!! Their customer service is unbelievable and they will take care of you.

With all due respect Elendil .. The previous post would have been #2 .. the first one said that maybe I would sell it .. that was day #1 and if I am going to sell it, I would have liked to do so right away .. before it got scratched etc... But that was NOT a complaint .. it was just I think I like my SD better... But when nobody showed interest, I decided to use it .. Sort of liked it except for the problems I listed ... And if I don't post the problems I have, how am I supposed to get answers ? How am I to even know that Janty has great customer service if it weren't for my post? Ya know .. It is hard enough to quit smoking, maybe you have been smoke free longer than me . . I am just a few months and after 40 years of just reaching in my purse and firing up a cigarette, I get a little FREAKED OUT when my e-cig doesn't keep me from my other habit ..

NUBEE .. what do you turn the atomizer with? Your fingers? There isn't much to grab on to when you put the atomizer in first without the cart, and if I put the cart on the atomizer and then screw them in together, I can't tell if I need to keep turning or if the cart is actually turning .. Maybe some needle nose pliers .. maybe my nails [pretty short though] are the problem .. Also, do you unscrew the atomizer to change or top off the cart? Or do you just pull the cart out ? If so, aren't you worried about pulling the insides out? Lotta questions. .. Sorry.

Just a quick observation...

This is MY FIRST PV...

And I ordered the V2, 4 bottles of liquids (2 RY4 and 2 Cigar HVY Shag).

I then (after reading tons of forums on it) went to bestecig and bought 5 attys (BE112) from them, 1 automatic BE112 battery (why not) and a charger.

Having what I thought was a great throat hit from my Janty Stick, I was at first glad I didn't just buy the BE112 (which I noticed had almost no hit)...

but just now I screwed in a BE112 atty into the V2 and found no throat hit either...

Could what I think is my "throat hit" actually be the inital burning taste from the Janty atty?

NOTE: the Janty atty is a much tighter fit than the BE112 atty.
ALSO: the Janty atty has 2 holes a the bottom, the BE112 atty has none!

Just curious...

What exactly should be a "good" throat hit? What I (so far) think of one is just a burning sensation (like smoking a cigarette) with the same kind-of burnt taste!

But it really doesn't bother me... I'm just second guessing my decision to buy BE112 atty's as spares instead of the Janty ones...

That is, in indeed, my throat hits should taste like that...

RAMBLINGS.... DONE.... :)

From what I understand as well, a throat hit is exactly what you think it is.
The vaping throat hit and the analog throat hit are slightly different though.
The analog is more of a burning in the back of throat it seems, and the e-cigs and janty seem to have a burn more towards the front of the throat. At least, this is how it seems for me, and its kinda hard to put it into words. Seems like you got the right idea though!
If its a bad harsh kinds grose throat hit, and kinds tastes bad, watch for filler in your atomizer, you don't wanna be burning any little polyester fibers.

Ok, that's EXACTLY what It feels like... burning fibers!!!

Is that because the Janty Atty burns "hotter?"

I never know when to re-fill / change carts b/c it seems like I get that burning feeling if I chain-puff for a while...

Often the I find myself pulling the atty 5-10 times an hour to see if it's empty, even though it still puts out quite a bit of vapor... (but it always look dry... even if it's still producing "good" vape / throat hit...

perhaps I'm just mistaking the burning fibers for a good throat hit...

Hmmm...

Where do I get stick batteries, I cannot find them on the Janty site.

Coffee..they are the e-cigar batteries listed on the Janty USA site. They're usually listed under "batteries" or "Janty Accessories". I just checked the site and they may be out of stock b/c I couldn't find them listed there. (although, this is usually where you will find them).

Its a good posibility that you could be mistaking it.
Just make sure that you don't have any little fibers stuck on the atomizer, make sure the batting in the carts isn't turning brown, and also, make sure that you're not melting the carts. Some of mine started to melt around teh edges a little. All can give a nastey burning, crappy taste and feel.

atty: try using the cover that comes with the carts. it fits pretty snug on the outside of the atty and give you plenty of grip ;) just screw the atty as far down as you can with your fingers, then use the cap to tighten, should be about a 1/4 turn more.

Refilling the cart: pull out the cart. then add the desired drips/drops (around 5 to 7 for the janty carts), then just push back on.
good luck :)

edit to add: using the janty carts. if you turn the tip while the cart is in the atty, only the tip will turn, NOT the cart. if the cart turned, it would rip the atty.
I can not speak for other carts or attys, i am only talking about janty original stuff.

Right, and they have the wall-plug chargers as well, highly recommend them. I just checked on site, they must be out of them, but did find the chargers. Any site that sells e-cigars should carry the same battery, make sure it's the same one. I've just checked all my bookmarked sources, seems like everyone is out. Except for NJoy, and those are too high priced, big time. No wonder they have some left!

Ok, so now I filled about 10 empty carts myself... Apparently the trick is to only drip on one side so the liquid doesn't pool at the top of the cart... (Took me 3 cart fills varying between 15-30 drops to figure out).

I actually pulled the entire wick out of a "filled" cart and found that half-way down it was actually DRY!!!

(That was one of the ones I center-drop-filled).

It takes approx 30 drops (within 3-5 drops variation) to fill one blank cart.

Crap, perhaps 4 bottles won't last me as long as I originally thought.

Where is everyone getting the 5-7 drops per fill numbers?

Perhaps if you're "re-filling" early / before the cart is completely dry.

I may agree, then, with a previous poster in that this V2 may not utilize all of the cart as well as other models...

Or perhaps Vaping to quickly / constantly dries out the end of the cart too fast and doesn't allow the liquid towards the mouth-piece to wick down fast enough...

Thanks for the advice Mace, but mines working right now and I'm afraid to bust it. Janty has already shipped my new one so I think I'll just play it safe and wait for the new one. It really sucked when it was down and was considering buying a pack.
It's good to know that they can be repaired though, for when the warrenty run out.

I'm going to have to chime in here...
Ordered 3 m201 stainless attys from LiteCig based on this thread. WOW! I've used the Janty attys on my stick which give good vapor and a mild throat hit, but because you basically have to do a direct inhale, almost no flavor. The 801 attys I got form Ruyan Direct were pretty much the same, but the very high bridge would smash down the fillers in the cart, effectively making for much less capacity.
The M201 atty is the BEST one I've tried for the JS. The draw is much tighter, which means you can mouth inhale and get the best of three worlds: massive vapor, good throat hit, and worlds more flavor!!! Any JS owner should stock up on these attys and use them exclusively!!! I ordered the stainless because I thought they would fit well, and they do. I have heard the the black ones fit well to because it is not black paint, but black anodisation on the band. Also LiteCig shipped lightning fast as well. My 801 carts I got from RD fit perfect and do not leak. So what are you waiting for? M201!!! M201!!! M201!!! :)

I 'top off' my carts with about 10 drops. The carts I prefer I got from China somewhere, they seem to accept liquid better than the carts that Janty sells, for my liquid anyway. I find the 10 drops gives me about the equivalent of 4 or 5 analogs of puffing. Then I top off again (works out to probably once an hour or so). I'm probably being overcautious, I don't want to overfill and have the excess in the stick. When I used to fill with a syringe, I could get a whole bunch of liquid in there and it looked very similar to the pre-filled carts, but I think that led to a leaking problem.
