The only "approved cleaning method" is the drain/blow out paper towel deal.
If you want to get the atty working better try doing this.

Drain/blow out atty.
Put 2-3 drops directly onto the atty (no carts)
Do a manual burn- press the switch on the stick until you can see the atty glowing orange and stop. MAKE SURE THE ATTY HAS AT LEAST 2 DROPS OF LIQUID WHEN DOING THIS.
Let it cool down for a few mins and repeat the process.

After another 2-3 min cool down, put 2 more drops on the atty and pop in the mouthpiece (again with no cart) and see if your atty is working better. If it is then go ahead and pop in a cart and enjoy.

What the manual burn does is burn off the crud that has built up on the heating coil.

And remember- THE ATTY MUST BE WET- if you do this dry you will have a dead atty

I know there are over a couple handfulls of atomizer cleaning methods posted across these forums, but is there a vendor supported method of atomizer cleaning? After a little over 10 days of using a Janty brand classic penstyle atomizer on my janty stick, the kick has diminished significantly. Im using only janty carts and liquid.

What ive done so far is to blow out the atomizer, from the connection end, soaked up all the juice that blew out. Using a twisted up paper towel, cleaned out the janty stick atomizer slot, until the tip of the towel was dry. Put two drops of liquid on the atomizer bridge, loaded up a brand new cart with a fully charged JS battery. Normally the first 3 or 4 drags from this maintenance would almost cause my eyes to roll back in my head, now its just barely enough to curb a craving. The atomizer threads have been cleaned as well.

Any suggestions from Janty? This is the only JS atomizer I have at the moment, so Im kinda in a pinch right now.

Try this:

Remove your cart material, then drip 2-3 drops on the atomizer, - and see if every hit there makes your eyes roll back. If it does, you know its because you have to wash your cart material. And i think this is your problem!

I recently, June, went from frustrating NJOY defects to Janty's Dura C. I've loved it from the beginning. Good vape and batteries last a decent amount of time. Love that they charge so quickly.

I just ordered more batteries and attys to have on hand. I got the new longer battery and noticed the end is completely sealed for dripping. I am trying them out today to see how long they vape and recharge.

Only one thing I'm not happy about, but maybe I'm doing something wrong. I find I have to top off often with a bit of ejuice still left in the cart. If I vape on it past a point, I am getting a harsh throat hit. It could be I've overused the cart but don't know of anything I can use as a filler yet. Going to try batting.

Janty has on the whole, gotten back to me within 12-24 hours of the countless emails I've sent asking questions and bugging them. They have treated me really good and I get my orders within a few days.

I know when the Jantystick was new and popular, they were bogged down, but to me, that's understandable. But I do agree with a message going out to inform customers what's going on.

Regarding the filler material you can find a ton of info on e-cig forum about what people use - just search for filler. Alot of it is cheap, and can be gotten on ebay.

No e-cig to date utilizes the entire filler though - there will always be something left,- what you can try to do is either add some VG to your PG mix ( its thicker, and therefore coats "better" ) or you can try to add a drop onto the atomizer directly AND then top off the carts ( and only drip directly on the atty maybe every 2nd time you retop carts ) - but DO NOT drip directly if youre using auto batteries with your dura - they are not built for dripping!

=)

Hope this helps!

Hey all, I'm new to vaping sort of, smoked my last analog on the 13th of august at 10:30 pm. I used to smoke marlboro smooths (had a minty menthol taste) and couldn't stand a regular red or anything like that. SO when i started vaping I've tried like 15 different flavors from two different brands, both well known. One is fairly good so far (brand that is) sept for the fact that it starts to burn my throat after very little time which is a really bad thing. Makes it very unenjoyable. So i tried this other brand that had reduced PG content, and well... none of those flavors are even remotely like they say they are. They all taste the same to me... That one also was burning my throat after a little bit. SO last night I decided ah what the heck, and pulled out a high strength pre-attomized cart of Tobacco flavor which I already thought smelled HORRID. Well... I vaped it, vaped it some more and was like hmm... this isnt bad actually... wtf? XD

So for the tl;dr, here I am at Janty. I see this "Boost" and RY2 3 and 4 liquids. Also the vanilla I'm interested in. What's the deal with those flavors, anyone able to liken them to something I may have tasted?

Some flavors you could try that are generally considered very good and very satifsfying are;

French Marlboro, Vanilla (mainly with high nicotine content though), polarmint (a bit candy'ish, but still a blow-your-mind-mint-feeling), ry4 (alltime classic), and the normal marlboro variant named MLB.

But it is individual what people like - another thing you can do, is to buy some vegetabile glycerine yourself and "cut" some of your liquids with it. For instance 3 parts something PG, 1 part VG. Just browse the forum for what other people recommend using VG wise - but by doing so, you are doing this on your own time, and being responsible for your own actions/ the outcome of those. ;)

But it might help you ; Some people have no problems with PG, some have issues such as developing rashes, sore throat etc; They often switch entirely to VG and vape that exclusively - so if nothing else works, that might be something for you to try as well.

Good luck!

Hey, thanks for replying Mik! I thought Janty wasnt going to touch this thread by the lack of response initially. Unfortunately though, I tried your suggestion already and am getting so little vapor and kick, its not even worth the juice Im loading it up with.

Seeing as I had 8 complete 510s that Ill never use since the Janty Stick completely spoiled me (thanks for that), I traded a complete 510 to a friend that stopped vaping due to hardware fustrations. I traded for 2 nearly dead 801 atomizers, have no idea where he got them.

What I did was load up a cheap jewlery cleaner with white vinegar and put it on high. Left one of the two dead atomizers in the wash for 10 minutes. After that I put it in a hot water wash, also in the jewlery cleaner for 10 minutes. Lots of black chunks in both baths. Then I blew it out and held it in front of a hair dryer for a few minutes to get the moisture out. Put three drops on the atty, crap, I completely killed it. Then I put 2 more drops on it, and BAM! Almost enough to make me cough! Sigh of relief, first drag was enough to curb the cravings I was having all day. Resistance on the non Janty atty before I did this was 10.2, its now 3.1 and hitting sooooo good.

I did the same to the other atomizer from the trade with identical results. So Im ecstatic with no more nic fits and two extra atomizers, my friend is happy with the 510, order restored in the universe!

Back to the Janty atomizer, resistance on that sucker is 5.6, which doesnt seem that bad to me, but its really quite pathetic compared to the ressurected atomizers. Im not going to clean that one and just wait until it dies completely since theres a 6 mo warranty and im less than a month into it. Wish I knew what happened to it. I do vape quite a bit, but taste buds have come back enough to know when the atty is dry and I correct that condition immediately. I do notice little black specs on the cart, so I imagine its going to meet the same fate as the non janty dead 801s.

Note: This cleaning method was not approved by Janty and will more than likely void the warranty, so best to take the warranty claim if you still have time left.

Yes, thank you. I was listening to a lot of different types of ecigs people were using different fillers for, but not the Dura C itself. Yes, I think 'filler' would be a good search. Duh...

Actually your Janty Stick does a great job utilizing the cart if I fill them from the bottom rather than from the top. I take the filler material out, put about 7 drops in the empty cart then put the filler back in. I'm using a 901 with an adapter, the 801 takes more drops. If I fill this way, the Stick will suck the cart dry. If I just top off the cart, it will use only the topped off amount and leave the balance in the bottom of the cart. I personally think it's due to an air space between the 2 amounts of liquid that keeps the bottom from wicking up.
