so from those pictures it looks as though you will be forced to hold it in your palm and press the button with your index finger. It doesn't look very comfortable to hold , especially if you tried to activate the switch with your thumb.

The idea is to activate the switch with your thumb, just like on the jantystick.

But, as i mentioned im trying to develop a new design without the mp3 player - and a bit different shape. Ill get back on this!

Leave it alone...please :)

I had to read through 160+ posts just to say that I like the original idea. Mik, when they make a bunch of these and decide to change it, I'll take the originals. So much criticism here but some of us appreciate it as first stated. I'm ready to order several now.

Hey J W,

I know what you say, but at the same time we are doing these threads to get opinions! =)

And my original design was _not_ with the mp3 player in it. this happened.. somewhere in china. ;)

So i will try to polish up my original design a bit, and show you what this could also be. Who knows, - it might be insanely cool ;)

Wow this thread made a member of 8 months who never made a post break his silence :D

Uhm, i dont know if you're expecting a WVGA 24bit LCD TFT display, or as i am a simple b/w 1-3 line lcd.... If you've ever owned a good old fashioned calculator from texas instruments, try and remember how many lifetimes those lasted on 1 or 2 of those small flat batteries...

Criticism is a good thing boss , I'm assuming that Janty wants this to appeal to as many people as possible , and if that's the case... then if 100 people in this thread said they didn't like it ,Janty can tailor the device to appeal to those people.

That does sound nice.. i think i have to try that one. :)

At the moment im vaping some of my own mix, - vanilla 30 / french marlboro 70 - very nice too!

to be honest, I put a little Janty Vanilla in all of my e-liquids! I have to control myself with Vanilla. By itself, I could easily vape a whole bottle in a day!

I just got Polar Mint and it's polar !!! I'm alternating between Ry4, Polar, and Virginia which is quickly becoming my new favorite... with a little vanilla of course... ;)

I was really interested in the Cameo until now. When I want to listen to MP3s, I use my 80gig ipod which I paid 300$ for. I'm not giving it up for an 8 gig vaporizer. I was hoping this would be an improved Janty Stick with a design similiar to these mods that I'm seeing where you can use different battery setups to achieve 5/6v or the traditional 3.7. There's even mods out there that have 2 buttons where one gives you a 3.7v vape and the other does 5/6v. That's where I want to see the future of ecig headed.

It would also be nice idea to offer personalized ecigs. For example, take the minifogger and allow people to get their names or slogans imprinted on it. That would be a great way for people to gift an ecig for somebody's birthday, anniversary, etc.

1) we have to consider the fact that we also provide a warranty on items. So for us to do something its not just enough to slap in some features and hope they work a month later.

2) The mp3 idea is being canned for now - we are looking into a new re-design of the Cameo, and once we have that we will show you all, and ask for your opinions on it- all of this is a direct result of the new user integration into our designs and ideas, so we hope you are happy with this decision ;)

3) For engraving, this is costly - and while something we could make its also something you yourself can get someone to make - probably cheaper. So for now, its not something we want to do

- and having said that, i will tell you all this: We are working on something new - something alot of you will love i believe. But i can not discuss it anymore at the moment, so .. let me work, and then get back to you when i can. (this wont be in the next week or so.. give it time).

And - THANK YOU for participating in this thread.

But for now - The Cameo is on hold, while we redesign it.

Feel free to continue discussing the Cameo here if you wish! I will still be checking the thread!

Here again is a testimony that Janty is a top notch company. Putting a design out there and taking the feedback - good and bad (brutal at times) - and saying they'll redesign based on that feedback, just points out how responsive they are.

Props to you Mik & Janty!

BTW Mik, where are you located? Are you here in the states?

I guess I'm using the Janty Stick upside down. Who knew? I wonder how many others use it with the button on top? Probably not a realistic option with the Cameo though.

Me too. Been using it upside down (button on top with index finger) for months now.

That a possible reason for switch failure and/or flake out?
