Rob is coming out with a New REO. Its called the REO Grand takes a 18650 and a 6ml bottle but looks like the Mini. :)

It should almost be bullet proof.

Looks really sharp, and the word out there is that it's a solid PV all around. I wanted something with 18650 batteries and 6ml, so I ordered an Ali'i. But this just might make it under the tree this Christmas for my wife.

Yeah, Reo tried to steer me towards waiting for the Grand when I first talked to him after trying Sterno's mini knowing my love for the 18650 battery. But I didn't want to wait, because a) it involved waiting, and b) I was afraid the vaping gods wouldn't allow reo's lighting to strike in the same spot twice. Small batty and bottle aside, the mini just seems danged near perfect, and I love the size!

Now if the Grand (I think it should be called the Grande, or the Reo Grande) vapes the same with the bigger bottle and battery and isn't the size of a brick, it should be a throw in your pocket and carry it with you all frakkin' day mod. OTOH, its nothing to carry around a couple of spare 14500's and filled bottles, so the mini's not much of a trade off at all.

Trouble is, the wife's eyeing the yellowjacket; if I get a Grand(e) I have no doubt it will migrate to her purse permanently.

My wife was taking my REO Mini so I had to get one for her. :) It’s the only PV she uses. She was s die hard EGO user now they sit.

Got to love the REO Mini I use it all day. The REO Mini just feels right in the hand.

And your right its nothing to care a battery and a 3ml bottle.
I found if you pick up a $1.50 14500 battery case (COV has them) you can get one 3ml bottle and one 14500 in it and it goes right in the pocket.

I also hope that Robert continues to offer the wood REO. It is an awesome mod. I also have 2 of the Minis which are excellent, and getting a lot of use, but I do like the look and feel of nice wood. I also have 2 of the Phidias mods and they too are well used. Anyway, great review!

Aw, shucks...thank you.

From my first mod, it has been my experience that a vape using an adapter doesn't quite do as well as using its native atty. In other words, I've found an 801 atty does better on a 801 mod than on a 510 connection using an adapter.

Was on the reo's site recently and noticed a posting of his declaring his love for the LR901 atty. Being a heavy AVS user, I'm quite the fan of it myself. And sonuvagun, it really works well on it. Vapes as least as well on the mini as it does on the AVS, and that's with a high drain 18650 pushing current to it.

What IS difficult is deciding which of the two attys I like better on the mini, the LR510 or it's 901 cousin. 510 has better TH, but the 901 has thicker vape and increased flavor. I also think the 901 may be a little more rugged than the 510, probably because it doesn't get quite as hot to do its job.

One definite advantage of the mini over the wooden Reo is that it's not difficult to remove the 510 to 901 adapter at all. Half the time on the Reo, the adapter would come off of the atty and almost require needle nosed pliers to remove from the brass well at the top of that mod. Not the case on the mini.

A minor niggle is that the mini doesn't do quite as good of a job at sucking up excess juice into the atty when vaping the 901 with the adapter. There seemed to be a tiny little drop or two of juice remaining at the top of the mini in the recessed atty connection. But if that's the only drawback, it's still a good trade off as it seemed to remain within the divot.

The mini can do PG, but it seems show a preference for VG. My next juice order will probably be some straight VG flavors, and I'll dose up my existing juices with some straight VG to thicken the viscosity of them a bit. Until then, I'll just vape up the last of my thick, sweet, syrupy coconut VG from mist-styx.

Hmm, VG from mist-styx or vaporrenu? Not sure which way to go.
