Sirius, Dale works like a secret agent. We are given information on a "need to know" basis while she skulks around keeping an eye on us. :) She's on the mend now and could probably give Ms.C a few helpful tips having gone thru it TWICE!!!!

Dale, where in the heck do you hang out, gal? :( Stay AWAY from there!!!!

Awww, aren't you all so sweet

No need to worry about me, Ms.C is the one who is sick now!

Chooch? I blame the butcher shop, but I've quit now!

Hello and g'morning to everyone! :) Hump Day! First day of the rest of our lives......even if you don't feel like it Ms.Cruzer. Is your nightstand large enough to hold your your medications AND coffee pot? Ha!

Hey, Nadiam! :) Hope all is going well across "the pond". Thank you for your well wishes. We all do the best we can like people do everywhere, but there are times when being in bed all day seems like a very good idea! Ha! :)

Aw Chooch! company! I've been up all night waiting for some company. I declined the steroid shot yesterday but she put me on oral steroids so I've been unable to sleep despite the codeine. I ate the other half of my cheese sandwich about 4am and hubby caught me up rummaging through the kitchen. Antibiotics leave a metal taste in my mouth so I've been looking for things to drink to get rid of it too.

If I didn't cough every time I try to speak, I'd have had him stay up and talk. But I can type! I just dosed up the cough meds again so maybe I'll fall asleep soon.

In the meantime, thank you all for the well wishes. I'm trying to be good and stay in bed. It really is a good idea sometimes. Oh, and I've watched every show that Bravo has this season. twice. :)

:) Welp, Ms.C, when unable to sleep when everyone else is zonked out, I tend to catch up on my reading. Got this here book by a favorite author been working on for......hm-m-m-m, 2 yrs. now. Ha! IF that doesn't work, will wander over the the more political threads on ECF to find out what's happening in other states or the FDA. Then there's Busardo's reviews. So much to read......everywhere! If all else fails, I've got a nightowl much younger cousin in Bakersfield, Calif. and a daughter in Fairbanks, AK I can pester.....Age hath its privileges! Hahaha! It's call Mom/Sitter Revenge for all those sleepless nights so long ago......'cept now they're going thru menopause and are up anyway. Shoot!

lol Chooch, I'm not very adept at auctions either. I usually stick with the "buy it now" items on ebay, cuz I always get outbid at the very last minute with the actual auctions. :grr: But I think this one should be fun. :D

Me too! I only do the buy it now auctions on EBay. I get stressed out on the others and always give up. Real auctions make me nervous too. My sister and BIL go to them all the time and buy antique furniture to refinish.

I feel like a newborn baby with my days and nights mixed up. I slept until 5pm today. Now, that's a long nap!

I've read everything on the Internet including my credit report. :D. My boss just called to check on me. I wonder if he just noticed I was MIA.

G'Morning all! :) Whew! Sure am glad I'm not the only "winnie" about auctions. Should be a good learning experience tho.

Ms.Cruzer, it's good you're getting some much needed rest. :) Don't forget, before you came down sick, you were a deverish in getting things done on top your trip! You tired out your little germ fighters! :(

Ms.C - sorry to hear you're sick! Glad you agreed to go to the doc and get what you need. Now, if we can just get you to stay in bed for a few days, you should be feeling much better! It really is worth it. Relapses and hospitalization are no fun. :sneaky:

It has been an absolutely pitiful week for tips. Doug is working on special orders and of course trying to get a few together for the other thing.
I've been working on the kitchen stuff. Are you getting tired of hearing that? ME TOO. I'm beginning to see light at the end of the tunnel!:banana:
I painted and antiqued three of my floral panels and got them up on the walls, got my shelf brackets and am just about half way through painting them. Still need to do the floral panel for the long wall, cut and stain the shelves and some trim. Then we can get those up and I can start cleaning up this disastrous house!

I had some rather big ooops moments. The brackets I got are white... which really doesn't work, so I'm painting them. One of the brackets arrived broken, so I called amazon, got a refund and ordered a new one to be sent out immediately and I was supposed to return the broken one.
Well... I was busy painting as fast as I could and wouldn't you know it... I painted the broken one. Can't return it now! So called amazon back, told them what happened and to stop the refund on it. That sweet woman (while stifling a giggle) decided that she was still going to issue a 'partial' refund and I should just keep it. Thought it was all taken care of, but no. Got up this morning to discover that not only did she issue a partial refund, but someone else went ahead and issued a full refund. Now I get to call them again... all because I was too tired to pay attention to what I was doing.

My other oops was using the wrong product on my floral panels. They weren't supposed to be 'antiqued', but hey... go with the flow. I can always re-do them later if I decide they're all wrong. :p

Now... like Nadiam said... if you're sick, get well soon! If you're well, stay that way!

Hi all! Just dropping in. MsC , dale anyone that doesn't feel well, hope y'all get back on your feet real soon!!!! [emoji4][emoji253]

I have a slight stomach issue today. Nothing serious but enough that Gracie and I missed our pet therapy visit at the nursing home. Understandably, they don't want you coming in if you think you may have something and I didn't want to chance it. Hated to miss but would hate it worse if I had something to make someone out there sick. [emoji6]

Kayte sounds like you projects are coming along! I know if you are like me, you want it finished yesterday [emoji12] LOL I'm sure it's lovely

Same here inbe [emoji6] I have already been outbid on the one I want. May place one more bid on it. The rescue that I am with does a big summer auction every year in July. We ways have tons of nice items, all donated. It's alot of fun but bidding wars are nerve wracking. LOL

Wow! Kayte, sure been "interesting" at your house! :) Of course, when everything has been painted, spackled, flowered, hung, straightened, cleaned and furniture placed just so, we get to see a picture spread the likes of "Home & Garden" would wish for its June issue!!! Ta Da-a-a-ah!

Had to explain to hubby how the bidding on the tips will work. 1. Yes, everybody gets to see the what the person is bidding and who it is. 2. The person who wins the bid must take off immediately, cause 3. the bid losers get to catch and release after ripping the fanny flapper buttons off of the Ninja outfit worn on Man Cave Night!!.....LOL Trying to visualize us running (let alone racing) ending with a football pile-on on top of the one with the tip! I forsee the use of a lot of bandaids and needle and thread for popped buttons. Heehee! :)
