Buried in books
Hope you feel better soon Mrs. C!
Just checking in (I do read yall's stuff...:p) don't have much to say. Pulled a muscle in my back and don't even know how I did it so I'm hobblin about.

What's this about an auction? I don't know if I could handle the stress...! But I could watch. :pop:

PBX, go to top of page at Molehill's web site and it will give you a link to Facebook event page. :) Nothing like a "kink" in your back to make you walk "funny". The not knowing HOW you come by your injuries gets worse, so I just accuse hubby of smacking me when I'm not looking......About covers it all. Ha!

Good morning! It's FRIDAY and tomorrow will be the time to "rumble". :) PBX, did you find the auction site?

I can't remember who posted the very simple and quick strawberry cobbler recipe, but I want to thank you for adding a couple of pounds to my already big fanny! :( Ha! Hubby has now become the "Cobbler King" and has plans for all the different fresh fruits that are now out at roadside stands. We didn't have any Bisquick so used a Martha White, quick and easy, biscuit packet. The one we had had cinnamon in it. Used Stevia on strawberries only.......Didn't help when we topped off with vanilla ice cream! I'm doomed!!!! LOL

That may have been me chooch because I use bisquick and recently did a cobbler. [emoji4] The way you did it sounds delish! And of course ice cream topper is even better. Lol

Hope y'all have a nice day today!

A-Ha! Momma, I can blame you for my jiggly bottom! LOL :) In talking to youngest last night about this scrumptious, easy peesy recipe, she had found similar one on line; but had to stop making it! They were making one every other day trying out all kinds of fruit (kiwi, mango, peaches, apple).....and having to pick up their exercise regimen to compensate.....Were wearing themselves out! :)

Morning everyone!

Chooch! You get to live with the Cobbler King! What a privilege! My mom made THE BEST peach cobbler ever made. She was an amazing cook... everything from scratch. I'm a cheater cook. If there's a short-cut, I'll take it. :D

Good to see you pbx. :)

It's not even 11:00 and I'm beat. My main wish for today is rain and a nap. And for someone else to make dinner, but that might be taking it too far. :pervy:

Good morning.....er, noon, everyone! I'm trying vertical today instead of horizontal. I don't think it's going to last very long. :( The Dr. said I was going to wish I had the flu before this is over. I'm trying to work a little but am about to give that up.

I've been keeping up with the tips on the auction site and there are some really pretty ones! I'll see if I feel up to it tomorrow. That green loufah posted recently....wow!

In the meantime, our 14 yo granddaughter Haley has stayed with us since Wednesday. She's such a good kid and a big help. I'm a little worried about her mom letting her be exposed to this crud because she leaves on a school trip to Washington DC and New York City on Monday. Can't have her sick for that trip!

Good to see you doing a lite better MsC. Hope it continues [emoji4] hope your grandaughter dodges it. Sounds like some nasty stuff.

Haven't watched the tear jerker vid yet KS. I have to be in a certain mind frame first and I ain't there today [emoji6]

Been getting some stuff done today. The stomach yucky is better. I imagine it was something I ate [emoji12] Working this weekend but will try to check on y'all when I can.

Will be interesting to see how the auction comes out. I need to sneak over there and take a peak. [emoji6]

Hey, Kayte. :) Next ol' King Cobbler is trying his next favorite fruit, peaches. There's so many fresh around now, can't help but try. Think we're going to have to share with neighbors else my elastic waist bands won't stretch enough! :(

Ms. C, am hoping along with Momma that your Haley won't catch this bug from grandma.....Don't let her in your room! Tell her, "I vant to be alone." ala Garbo. A shower, fresh summer pj's and a fresh pillowcase every day will make you feel better......If not, at least you'll smell good. Ha! :).......I could never get the hang of looking good while sick, so went for smelling good instead.

Momma, good to hear it was a minor stomach upset.....and everything came out alright. Heeheehee :) How's your rebuilt thumb doing?

Hey MommaB - look at your NT ticker. You just saved over $10,000 effective today! Well, minus all the money spent on vaping (which shouldn't count).

Oh wow! Thanks for telling me MsC. Need to sign in on the regular site and take a look [emoji4] Sigs don't show on tappy talk. I quit smoking about 5 1/2 years ago and took up swedish snus (spitless). Then I discovered vaping 15 months ago. [emoji4]The snus was making my gums recede. Vaping is much more pleasurable by far. You get that hand/mouth habit along with great flavors and gear. And it's fun! And yeah, I probably don't need to count up $ spent on vaping gear. LOL

Thanks chooch [emoji4] The thumb is coming along....slowly. LOL Still not using the hand much but I can do a few things that I couldn't a few weeks ago. Still writing left handed tho. And, Still wearing a brace but I can take it off for light duty at short periods. Slept without it last night and no harm was done [emoji4] Not using it to squonk yet! Thats the big test, because I will have to be able to fully squonk when I get the other one done. LOL

Momma, there's a reason I didn't want a ticker up.......Hubby would know how much I DIDN'T save......But, I am saving a bunch by not playing tennis thereby avoiding hip or knee replacements.....then there were cans and cans of tennis balls, tennis shoes every 3 months besides warmup suits, skirts and tops, heavy duty socks, sweat bands, visors, court fees, club dues, assn. fees, racquets (at least two, one for backup), tennis bags, racquet restringing every couple of months, handle wraps, and moleskin for anywhere anything rubbed. Don't forget knee and elbow braces, lessons from the pro, cute tennis panties and gas to get you to your matches not only in town but out of town as well........on top of the smoking expense.......Hm-m-m-m-m, I might be saving money after all! :)
