Dale, did you lose electricity last night because of storms? You did mention losing satellite. Internet connection is thru satellite? Both dau's live in the "outback" and do have these kind of problems with internet connection. :(
No, didn't lose electricity (although my dad did, he's further up North)
Just about anytime there is a cloud in the sky we lose satellite  I'm still grateful for it though since I was on dial-up before this  Not much available in my area.

Chooch - give the poor guy a day off. LOLOL.

It's doggie spa day around here. Wish it wasn't 90 degrees in the shade but it has to be done for our old guy, Muggs. He's 15 and just too hot with all this hair. The groomer was all booked up so I'll do it. Luckily only one of the three needs a super cut today. I'll save enough money for a new tip too. :)

I got lucky yesterday and got the little super-spoiled one put on Apoquel for itching/allergies. When I called the vet and asked for it, I knew how hard it was to get and the first thing they told me was that they couldn't get enough of the meds to put any more patients on it. Little while later, they called back and said we could try it for 2 weeks and they would try to get enough for us from the manufacturer if it works for her. If only the little buggers could talk!

I'm having an "I don't know what I want to vape day". Must need more coffee. Have a good Saturday everyone!!!

Aw heck, Ms.C, Muggs is sure to thank you. Can't imagine wearing a fur coat in this heat! Let's hope the Apoquel does the trick for "little super". Think of having mosquito bites all over. Yikes!

This "painting the house" thing was hubb's idea as well as painting the shutters on this "off" day. All the paint looked good to me once the annual washing was done 'cept where some nails were popping thru....small area and easily painted. However, you know how small little things morf into large bigger things? Yup, that's my guy! Ha! He has these "visions" of how things would look with a bit of improvement. Being retired and having no hobbies, I let him go for it......at his own pace. Fills in his time without the stress of a "due date"......plus he gets to shop at all building supply stores for new tools and stuff! :) Good to have a "goal".

Hi all! Not much fun around here today and I'm sorry there won't be any tips this evening unless things change drastically. Doug was up all night with a really bad toothache and is in pretty bad shape today. I should have antibiotics and pain killer in hand in about two hours. Not soon enough in my opinion... but thankful for our dentist doing this on a Sat!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend, enjoying whatever sort of weather you're having. We're a little cooler today and supposed to have some rain. We had a doozey of a hail storm yesterday. Or was it the day before? Whichever, it beats all the petals off my roses. Otherwise, things fared pretty well.

Hope the dog gets trimmed and allergies taken care of and the house all spruced up. I agree chooch... it's good to have goals!

Teeth?.....Tips?......Teeth?.....Tips? Having been in exact same situation, Kayte, I can guaranty you the "teeth thing" takes priority! Nothing focuses your attention on your teeth like the pain an infected one can give you. Has Doug ever had a root canal? :(

So far, been a pleasantly rainy day and hubby hasn't left his lounger. Poor guy. He's pooped. :p The heat from working outside really does us in as we get older.;)

Oooooo Kayte. Weekend toothaches are the worst. Glad Doug is going to get some relief with meds. We can gladly wait on tips until he's feeling himself again. Make sure he gets something on his stomach with the pain meds even if it's just a milkshake.

The dogs are beautiful. I do a better job than our groomer and I'm a whole lot cheaper!! Just saved myself about $80. I ended up doing the two old dogs and trimmed the super spoiled one a little. Now I need a bath to get the hair off of me. I don't know why we never thought of this before but we have a pool house with A/C and a brick floor. So instead of being out in the heat, we set the grooming table up in there, let the air run about an hour and it was downright tolerable. I barely broke a sweat. Then a quick vacuum to get the hair that didn't hit the trash can and we were done. It's some kinda hot and humid outside. Miserable, really. May have to settle in with a Bloody Mary, a good vape and binge watch a little Breaking Bad on Netflix.

Oh Kayte, I certainly sympathize with Doug...we can definitely wait on tips...Doug's well being is definitely more important! Sending lots of healing vibes for him!

Ms. C, I need to send my little furball to you...she's in terrible need of a haircut, don't even know how the poor thing can see, but I just haven't had the time to take her anywhere...usually my son cuts her, but he's been busy lately too...better do it soon or she's going to run right into a wall one of these days!

It's getting ready to storm here, has turned black outside and can hear the thunder...great day for being a slug!

No root canal, Chooch. I'm pretty sure he's looking at oral surgery in his near future. :(

I know several of you relate to what he's going through. Sadly! Wish you didn't! We've got the meds now so he's got penicillin and tylonal 3 working on him. He was able to sleep for awhile, so that's good.

Glad you got the dog kingdom all spiffed up Ms.C... and in a not so sweltering spot!

Enjoy your rain angel! Hope it does that here before too long. We have a swamp cooler and they don't work well at all when it's humid so a good rain would be welcome... would cool it off a bit.

Think I'll go make some tapioca pudding for him. That ought to hit the spot. Or a spot. Maybe. o_O

2Build - I forgot to say how much I like your setup!! It's just beautiful!

G'morning, Dale. :) Ummmmm........Think a little bit of that.......and a little bit of that.....and a whole lot of your "fresh coffee beans" coffee. The "food for thought" hits the spot and the temp on back porch this morning is 59 degrees. The paint can instructions say don't paint under 60.......... Not going to stress about it. Ha! :)

Ms.C, shearing your own pups is down right profitable! :) Hubby is figuring the same way with the painting all but the highest (3 stories up) parts of the house. Figures he saves us a "pretty penny", does it as well if not better, and takes longer to do......but his time is "free". Ha!

Angel, how in the world did you find a "turbo jet" snail?! I need to borrow that rig! :)

Give it a few minutes Chooch, I'm sure you'll be able to paint then ;)
