Hopefully others will chime in with their thoughts on the SS inserts. Neither of us has a tip with one yet.
I like the SS insert. Even though I never had a problem with chipping (which can happen when changing tips a lot), and I haven't dropped any of them yet, it gives me more peace of mind. Also, I like that the SS insert stem is shorter than the ones without - fits better in a ProTank (not as much stem still showing).

Thanks John! I appreciate the input. I'm going to ask Doug to make one with an insert for me so I can see what I think, too. My only concern is taste. I don't want to taste metal... at all. I like that the stem on these is short as well. I've never liked the look when you can see them at the top of the tip... it's just not aesthetically pleasing to me.

It's also a very annoying mouth feel.
I also like the insert, because it isn't "quite" as tight a fit as the ones without it, yet it's still a snug fit.

Usually hubbs and I will order 4-5 different appetizers for take out from our favorite restaurant, break open a bottle of wine, and slip in a DVD......actually do New Year's Eve the same way.... It really is enough now-a-days. We like no hazzle and quiet anymore.......
