Got the last two cabinets hung.:banana::banana:
So here are a few pictures...

This is the 'before' so you can see what the cabinets looked like... typical 80's. ;)

It only took me two weeks to put new faces on them and get them painted. :glare: Quite a change!

I experimented with sheet rock mud and a stencil on the doors under the sink. Love the effect (which is nicer than the photo shows. Of course.)

I'm not done yet, but feel like I made huge strides getting this part done!

Bright! Cheery! Opens the kitchen up! :) Used same bead board paneling painted white in upstairs bath as wainscotting. Guess you can say am partial to the look.....:p Is it the Swedes or Norwegians that decorated their Brides Chests and cupboards with beautiful flowers and designs like the below sink doors? The look fits right in, Kayte. That was a lot of hard work!!!! AND, there's the door handles yet.....and you'll have to put HOLES in those newly refinished doors.....

Your new decorated kitchen now looks ready for a big ol' vase of spring flowers from your garden. Lovely and inviting.

When our son moved out, I redid his room and used white bead board for wainscoting. I'm highly fond of the look myself. It was to be a workroom/studio for me. Somehow it turned into Doug's office.:sneaky:
Are you referring to tole painting? I've seen such gorgeous works of art done in that style! I may eventually add color to my floral.. thing. lol But for right now, white on white is working. We'll see when I settle on a color for the walls. I'm leaning toward a soft, light teal.
Spring flowers would be wonderful! I got nothin'. Maybe in another week or so I'll have something blooming. :D
Oh Kayte!

Your kitchen is beautiful and those two door's are gorgeous!
Thanks! I'm contemplating redoing some of the doors... just a small section at the top of the door and doing something similar. You should have seen Doug's face when I mentioned that idea after the doors were done. So... I'll have to wait a little while before I bring it up again. ;)

Two new tips up on the website. :)

Banksia Pod (Red) - Wood

The classic Banksia look is only on one side so here's another photo. Very pretty on both sides:

SOLD Aurora Borealis - Acrylic (The camera changed the color. It's more of a color shifting teal. You can see teal, green, cobalt blue and a rich purple as you turn it. Sooo pretty!)

This is more the color it really is:

Annnnnd.... a video. :D

Wow, I love all of the counter space you have. the wainscott is spot on, love it!
Thanks! Me too! It's very roomy to work in.
It is written somewhere that wimins are allowed to change their minds and mens have to put up with it.....especially in decorating since half the mens are color blind! or their sense of color is limited to black, blue and steel....
 I just don't understand him still being surprised by this kind of thing after all this time.
