Iowa Gal, I just sent off a scathing email to one of your senators, Tom Harkin, for his stance against e-cigarettes and from what I watched this afternoon on C-Span 2. Am afraid he or his staff won't pay me no never mind as I'm just a Tennessean, and can't possibly affect his stature in Iowa's political community. Anyway, I let him have it with both barrels......Made me feel better.

I had to pick this one up. I should state that as I vape almost exclusively epipes, my ecigar and custom Molehill cigar tips notwithstanding, so I almost never buy drip tips. But this one is handsome as hell and reminds me of So Cal in the 70's...

Oh, Katdarling, I so wanted to jump thru the screen and grab him and smack him around.....a whole lot!!!! Since I couldn't do that, let alone jump over anything, sent him a message thru his senate site essentially saying he was on the "take" for big tobacco and/or the pharmaceutical co's 'cause someone in his position with all his staff help could NOT possibly be as UNEDUCATED about the benefits of e-cigarettes as he was. Not only that, told him his concern for "the children" was old, worn out, and no one could do it better than the Clintons. The general public was now onto that particular ruse and tired of it. I'm so tired and disgusted by lying and bought politicans. Seems like it's getting worse than I ever remember it being........Course, the Tea Pot Dome stuff happened before my time and the Grant administration was suppose to be very corrupt. Perhaps, I'm just more aware now because a lovely and promising product is close to being shut down because of political greed.......I just want to kick someone's a -- sometimes......shake their brains up a bit.

I did not write him (yet). I DID however, write Senator Burr (R North Carolina) who made total sense. In fact, he flew solo with his sensibilities. I felt the need to thank him. I'm wondering about the weather in the Carolinas. HOW bad are hurricanes? Can't be worse than our ground shakers out here.

(And the fact that I live in a State that does not allow plastic bags...)

Big Juicy, so right on the 1970's feel to that tip. The look was kinda of universal, and I had to work very hard to get my mechanical engineer hubby into some suitable clothing and non zip up boots! God, even his ties had to be changed out......Plaid and stripes?! Engineers have a weird sense of design; but then the 1970's were not known for tasteful fashion......I hide those pictures......

Katdarling, be happy to have you next to me going into battle. Did not see the first part of the meeting and missed Burr. Hopefully I can catch him on a replay of the meeting. Did hear people here in Chatt. think he was terrific. Wonder if he's a decendant of Aaron. Anyway, the Carolinas are great to live in. Unless one lives on the coast, don't have to worry about hurricanes. Every once in a while you might get a 6" snow fall which stops all traffic and schools for at least a day. Lived in Greenwood, SC for about 9 yrs. Moved there from Atlanta, and enjoyed the country, quiet feel of this very small town. Lived in Charlotte for 3 yrs. Typical large city with big priced living. Moved to Chatt. from Charlotte and had an immediate raise as there's no state income tax in TN. Remember I'm a "service brat" and just naturally make myself at home wherever.

Choo -- I was born in Laurens County SC. Just down the road from Greenwood. Small world.

Just saw Burr on a replay, and his head is in the right place. To me, his questioning of Zeller went around in circles because of the terminology Zeller insisted on using. Typical government flunky sidestepping the obvious. We do best for the whole NOT for the indiividual. BUT our constitution is based on INDIVIDUAL rights! Our rights are NOT to be given up for the CONVENIENCE of governance! Who are they to say we as adults cannot enjoy flavors because flavors MIGHT entice someone's child into vaping WHICH they haven't proven yet to be harmful?!........I'm so ............I need a tall glass of something.......strong!

Sirius, our youngest was born in Greenwood in 1979. We left in 1986 for Jacksonville, FL for 3 yrs. Jacksonville was another great place to live. Was sorry to leave.
