Iowa Gal, I just sent off a scathing email to one of your senators, Tom Harkin, for his stance against e-cigarettes and from what I watched this afternoon on C-Span 2. Am afraid he or his staff won't pay me no never mind as I'm just a Tennessean, and can't possibly affect his stature in Iowa's political community. Anyway, I let him have it with both barrels......Made me feel better.

People were letting him have it on Facebook too. I thought about googling an Iowa address because I know that makes a difference.

Oh, Katdarling, I so wanted to jump thru the screen and grab him and smack him around.....a whole lot!!!! Since I couldn't do that, let alone jump over anything, sent him a message thru his senate site essentially saying he was on the "take" for big tobacco and/or the pharmaceutical co's 'cause someone in his position with all his staff help could NOT possibly be as UNEDUCATED about the benefits of e-cigarettes as he was. Not only that, told him his concern for "the children" was old, worn out, and no one could do it better than the Clintons. The general public was now onto that particular ruse and tired of it. I'm so tired and disgusted by lying and bought politicans. Seems like it's getting worse than I ever remember it being........Course, the Tea Pot Dome stuff happened before my time and the Grant administration was suppose to be very corrupt. Perhaps, I'm just more aware now because a lovely and promising product is close to being shut down because of political greed.......I just want to kick someone's a -- sometimes......shake their brains up a bit.

Ugh. Me too!

Welp, I guess I'll pack my stuff in the 3 plastic bags I have left ..... you guys DO know that we can no longer have plastic bags (and that the Kat is pretty damm p'd over it!)?

Do you think the Carolinas could stand a Valley Girl?

And Choochoolina, for the next politician who says our flaves are solely meant to entice the wee ones,,, I say..... go fruit yourself.

I have plastic bags multiplying here...don't tell Harkin. He will think I'm endangering my children.

I did ask him if he ever enjoys eating deserts or anything sweet when talking about the nonsense argument that flavors are for kids. Maybe I should have asked if he prefers unflavored condoms

Katdarling, come to the Carolinas, TN or GA. Valley Girls are especially welcomed! Why we have a valley right here in Chattanooga. There has to be other reasons besides the lack of plastic bags driving people out of California.

Took a look at the posts on Tom Harkin's facebook. Whew! Is he getting an ear full. Don't know for sure, but I feel the longer and older a politician stays in office the more he/she relies on their staff to give them the answers and guide them rather than the other way around. Maybe Harkin needs to clean house or just retire.

Cranky and Big Juicy, ain't no way I could run for office. Too much fun in my younger days ;-), but I've never sold my ethics/morals to the highest bidder. A talent you seemingly have to have to be a politician in today's climate.

Your...hmmm...colorful...past would make me more likely to vote for you. Especially since you admit it. Too many of them decide they want to run for office and suddenly pretend they were born already 140 years old with a stick stuck where it doesn't belong.

I'm afraid the flat style is out of our abilities. I can't tell you how many times Doug has told me that he 'only knows how to make things round.' In reality, he doesn't have the right equipment to make that style. I'm sure he could if he did! He is a genius after all.
