Is Monkey a Japanese Chin?

I get asked that question often, but from what I know, he is not. He is supposedly a mix between a pekingese and a papillon.....BUT he did come from breeder turned puppy mill with nearly 100 dogs, and she did breed Japanese Chins in the mix....so I can't say for sure or not. There's a good chance she mixed up the litters and that he does have some in him. To me, he look exactly like one except for the eyes

Nite Lite Vapor, of course. :) Available at PVLiquids.com.

A small, but very delightful line of liquids, available at decent prices.

Blueberry Beach and Apricot Brandy might fit your taste, but one has to try Bounty Hunter, their best seller for ages.

I'll definitely check them out Tearose! Thank you for the suggestion!! :)

I don't see papillion in him. The nose/cheeks/symetrical markings are very similar to a red chin (or tri-color?). I love chins. When you call him, what does he do? If he's obident and comes - that's not a chin. A chin will do a "chin spin" and head the opposite direction - always. Trying to train them is trying to train a cat. It's not gonna happen. They also have big, double jointed front paws that allow them to open doors. That's a chin.

Papillion's are obedient. They are trainable.

Decided to go grocery shopping while I'm waiting to get my car finished, and I'm totally creeped out...was at Wally World and this guy came up to me and asked me if I was married...something about him set off alarm bells in my head, so I said yes...then he wanted to know if I was happily married...said he was from out of town but working here and wanted to find a pretty woman to spend time with...I told him to keep shopping then because I wasn't interested...then he started following me around...he finally stopped when he saw me go up to one of the employees...had me looking over my shoulder the rest of the time I was there just to make sure he wasn't still following me! It was a very disturbing experience! And I don't think he was just admiring my beautiful Molehills that were sticking out of my purse!:glare:

Angel - sorry about the creeper. Do you carry mace or a stun gun?? I have both, but I rarely ever carry the stun gun unless I'm walking my dogs (a lot of vicious dog killings around here lately for some reason). I know the stun gun isn't legal in Michigan (not sure about the mace), but I'd rather be protected if something were to happen. I'm sure I sound paranoid and crazy.....and I probably am because my mom STILL calls me for no other reason but to tell me about abductions she sees on the news lol...... but a girl always needs to be protected, just in case!! ;)

omg laughing so hard! Thank you for the sharknose pic, Kayte!!! =) Happy for the little dude that he made it safe through the appendix pilfering by the docs, and happy he had so much fun with the painkillers =)
Can you believe that sent that poor boy home with NO pain killers?! Told them that a little tylonal would do it and refused to give him anything else. I am one hoppin' mad grandma. If tylonal would do it, why did they have him on morphine while he was in the hospital?!?!
Well, the vape in the park meet was fantastic fun =) Everyone had such a lovely time! You won't see me on my knees often, but I had lots of help getting back up.

Of all the show and tell goodies I brought to the meet, my MhM collection was the most loved and adored. Kayte and Doug, expect some folks from the Madison, WI area to be power shopping and ordering custom tips soon =) I love the look on faces, when they get a chance to actually hold your tips up to the light and fall in love!
Those are some happy clouds! I'm glad you had help getting back up. Thanks so much for sharing our work.
Okay, I will confess... I have 'custom' tips from other vendors. While they are as unique as my Molehill tips, I find that they spend most of their time in storage. There is something about the way Doug finishes the mouthpiece end of the tip that makes them just a complete pleasure to vape from. Just smooth and comfortable. This, IMO, is the #1 reason that MhM tips are better than the competition, followed closely by their fabulous pricing and attention to detail both in their products AND their customer relations. Negotiating details on custom tips with Doug, he is quite honestly one of the nicest and most attentive people I have had the pleasure of communicating with. I mean, he went as far as asking me if a 1/16" change in my tip size was ok because it made the difference between leaving in or having to lose a little piece gold flake in the acrylic while making the tip. Who else would do that!!!??? You can truly tell that for Doug and Kayte this really is a labor of love, not just a job. For all these reasons, whenever I have extra money for a shiny new bauble, Molehill Mountain Arts will be my go-to drip tip company.
There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that reading that should have made me all teary.:D Thanks so much for posting that. It really means a lot. Made Doug pretty smiley when I read it to him, too.

Yes ma'am, I sure do :) Her name is Elly.

View attachment 365704
Elly is so cute!
Awwww!!! She is gorgeous!!! What a perfect little face <3! I almost got a yorkie about 2 years ago because they are so sweet and don't shed, but then I found Monkey (Pekingese Papillon --- sheds a lot :p). His breeder was arrested and all of the puppies (75+) ended up in an animal rescue so I couldn't resist. One day, way down the line, I'll have to get a Yorkie :)
Your puppies are adorable. Mine is a scruffy little guy, but he's cute. lol Here he is looking almost refined...

Won a door prize!!!! Three 30 ml bottles of juice (my choice) and a mini Nauti! Yay-y-y-y! Dimi came straight in from the airport and was pooped. Steve and Brandy Nair (owners) were there as well a Terrell Moore (mgr) and all the lovely employees of MOV plus Eric Peterson of TSFA. Got to hug on all and meet some new people. Good time......and a good day.
Congrats on the win! Glad you had a good time and once again, thanks for doing all you do for the vape community!

Seems like peeps are unloading their Provaris in preparation to buy the P3. Won't happen here-still love my Emerald green and mini Dragon :)
I can't see myself ever parting with my provaris. Nope.
The coolest feature to me on the P3 was getting to change the color of my button and led. I'm very content with the simplicity of the provari!
I'm trying...just finally heard from him...he's just dragging himself out of bed...but supposedly he's on the way...won't hold my breath though...I'd just pass out! ;)

Yep got my coffee and vaping some delicious Strawberry Vanilla Cake...not to mention the other 4 flavors I have going too...with my beautiful new memorial tip that was waiting on me when I got home last night! I am just so in love with this tip! It is without a doubt, the most beautiful one I've gotten yet...and that is saying a lot, since they are all so gorgeous! Doug and Kayte really outdid themselves! As soon as I get a chance I'll take a pic of her for everyone to see! But I am one happy little Mountaineer right now! :D
Aww... SO glad you're happy with it. It was an honor to get to make it for you.
That's kinda funny. I don't need the link in my favorites list. I visit the page so much as soon as I put M in the address bar it auto fills the webpage address for me. LOL
Hopefully this week there will be a reason to check!
Good morning all! :) Today is a special day for me. Not only getting my door prize from Mountain Oak Vapors, and the mail ought to bring me my "Calamity Jane" tip, but my oldest is having her 50th birthday! :p I distinctly remember her being a babe in arms and counting all her toes. She won't let me do that anymore. Been a difficult year for her, but the chemo is now over and she just got back from a 20 person, 3 day rafting trip, and may start back to work next month. Think she's "good to go"!

Want to thank you all for lightening the load. Don't know what I would have done without the vaping community and you here at Molehill Mountain. It really is "good" to dwell on OTHER things you can DO something about.
Happy Birthday to your daughter and I'm so so glad to hear that she's doing well!!! That's the best news all day!
That looks so awesome! Very classy! :D You guys are starting to make me want a Provari, and I said I'd never have one! Of course I said that about the Reo too at one time, sooooooo.....:p

I'm always vaping Caramel Wildwood...it is my one constant throughout the day...I just rotate all the others! :D
I never thought I'd want a provari either. I'm so glad they talked me into it! Doug got me one for Christmas and then I won a 2nd! I'm a happy girl! Love my mini's.

Good afternoon....I'm not even going to try and catch up on reading since Friday....The wedding was beautiful, we are exhausted. It was a very busy weekend but so nice to spend time with family and friends. Trying very hard to focus at work today but am running in slow gear for sure:laugh:
Glad you had a great time and congratulations again!
Thanks, Q-T! Yeah, I KNOW she was a very small person just last week....but I also had brown hair. Don't ever compare your age to when your parents or grandparents were that same age......It will shock you! 8-o

My Calamity Jane aka Snap, Crackle, Pop, pg. 812, Post 8118, came in and it's just lovely. It's crackle is a bit wider in width showing more color and looks smashing (Oops! Shouldn't say that around Kayte & Doug.) on my new Petals MVP. It has the bolder colors of medium blue, purple, a hint of red then orange into yellow then teal on top with a light sprinkle of silver glitter and a few bigger silver sparkles here and there that change color however which way you turn it. Looks terrific on my blue, teal and purple glass. Even works on my gold and red glass. Put it on top of the white mod and it looks wonderful. Ain't bad on the steel blue MVP either.

Kayte and Doug, I know this tip wound up being the tip from "Murphy's Law" he--; but believe me when I say, I'm thankful you saved it from the "trash bin of history"! My Calamity Jane may be a "off and cracked" to you, but it sorta reminds me of my own personality! :D
I grew pretty fond of Calamity Jane myself! No way could let her land in the trash!
Here's a video of her for you. :D

Merry -- I received an unexpected Christmas today! Thank you! I may have to learn to rebuild just so I can use these beautiful wicks!

I have high hopes of being back with a few tips this evening. :D
See you all later.

No, he's definitely not obedient lol. When I call him he tilts his head and looks at me! He doesn't spin around though :/ His personality is really sweet and happy, and he LOVES every other dog (incredibly social) but is a little timid around new people at first. He is really athletic though. He jumps on tons of stuff like a cat, and runs with the bike about 6 miles a day. I'll post another pic of him to see what you think, just gotta find a good one! Thanks for the info btw -- I don't know much about Japanese Chins

Ooooh, Calamity Jane is pretty!

........ I know the stun gun isn't legal in Michigan (not sure about the mace).....

Sarah, I think we are legal with pepper spray, but not mace. If you don't mind carrying a bigger can, get one of those power hornet/bee sprays, they will go like 20 feet!

ETA: Maybe someone should design an attachment to put on our MVPs or anything with a bigger battery, a ZAP mod!

This ^^^ is unfortunately very, very common now days; doctor's just will not give pain med's even when you need them

So sorry you had to deal with that today! It was supposed to be a nice relaxing day off for you. I really hate that kind of cra---- stuff.
You did the right thing, Angelphyre! :thumb: Next time maybe whip out your cell phone, hit 9 then 1 and then tell him he has one second to turn around and get lost before you hit the other 1! I swear it's getting creepier out there. :(
It's always been really creepy out there. That or I'm a creep magnet. :sneaky:
I need a cell phone. I could probably get away with just flipping out an old broken one to pull your trick though.
Yes it was very disturbing...this is the Walmart I used to work at years ago, so I went to one of the managers who still happens to be there and let her know...he had already disappeared, but I gave her his description and let her know that there was a potential predator hanging around there...to keep an eye out just in case.
Glad you let the manager know!
I wish I had thought of that Chooch! I always knew the crazies went to Walmart, but usually it's late at night!
Hey! I'm a late night walmart shopper. Middle of the night is the best time to go there... you pretty much get the whole store to yourself.
    Madame 'Oer

New Brass button and MHM segmented tip!
    Beautiful!
Can't believe I'm stalking the mail man for a drip tip, or even saying it. Maybe tomorrow.

    Tap'n on my S5
Darn! Was hoping you'd get it today. :(

Sorry to hear about the dog killings. How awful!
A stun gun isn't legal there? What a stupid law.
You don't sound paranoid or crazy. Sadly, there are lot of not nice people out there... As your mom apparently frequently lets you know. I'll be nice and not share my stories with you. ;)

Okay... time to go finish preparing dinner. If any of you don't know what you're having, I made way too much so just come on over.
    Be back in awhile!

Awww thanks Kayte! And I know, such a stupid law for stun guns right!? And so sorry to hear about your Grandson! The reason they didn't give him any Vicodin or Norco is because it's contraindicated for children under 12 years of age. I know it seems harsh because he's in a lot of pain, but they haven't done any studies in children determining its safety or efficacy. The other reason is because it's a known hepatotoxin (toxic to liver) and since he is so young, his liver is small and growing and may not be able to metabolize the drug appropriately, which could lead to irreversible liver damage. The reason they gave him morphine in the hospital is because, believe it or not, the liver is able to clear it more quickly due to its opioid nature. Unfortunately though, morphine oral tablets are only indicated for use in cancer patients. Sorry to get all clinical and boring, I just wanted you to have an answer (since doctors suck at explaining things). I'm so sorry he's in pain though, and hopefully the Tylenol will provide some relief. Try alternating between a heat pad and cold compress (15 min on, 15 min off) to help with the pain (worked better than vicodin for me when i had kidney stones) The good thing is he's young and will heal quickly! Praying for a quick recovery for him <3

Hey, Sirius! We found our Medic for our trip!!!! Just knew we were missing something for our trip to D.C.; and, SarahDoll, you were IT! You can bring your cutie dogs along too to be a part of our "early warning" system......Do you have some solid stomping, fanny kickin' boots? :p

Haha that sounds perfect!!! And of course I do!! :) I'm passionate about medicine! And trust me, you don't even want to get me started on FDA's arguments against vaping lol. The scientific studies conducted thus far are proof in favor of e-cigarrettes! The media tries to spin the results and put a negative twist on them, but if you go to the actual studies, and can actually understand them (which writers of these articles CLEARLY do not) :)there's no validity to their statements.

Woa...that would have creeped me out too. That's why I fully support ladies and everyone for that matter having some sort of protection with them. Ya just never know what's out there.

Glad you are ok and you did the right thing ;)
