So I forgot to say this: yes, I have tried it with isopropyl alcohol....despite everyone advising against it. I figured that the only reason people were saying not to do it is because it can be toxic--- which is true, however, if you thoroughly rinse it and let it air dry, toxicity isn't an issue. Being a scientist, I went ahead and did it. BIG regret lol! It tastes absolutely horrid afterwards!!! And there's pretty much no way to get the nasty taste out :( I think I'm gonna suck it up and buy the everclear

Thanks Sarah :) I wondered about that. Don't need any nasty toxic tastes around here;)

I ate the cookies and drank the milk 'cause you were hiding in the fort, Sirius! I'm gonna blame you for my 5 lb gain. :grr: Now who to blame for the other 5 lbs. Then I had to clean up everything and wander by the Man Cave to see if you were still there. What I saw was another room with a fireplace surrounded by couches and chairs to die for, but no Sirius under a table. So, there you go......I finally got here. :p

Sarah one other thing to watch for....I got a little over excited after installing a new BVC and didn't even give it a minute to juice up and hit it at 10 watts wide open..kind of a burnt flavor. Now I continued to use it for several days and it was ok...but there was the slightest hint of an off taste.
Momma...for me, since I seem to be getting about a week out of a coil and that is with switching flavors multiple times throughout the week I'm just going to toss them. I'm too lazy to fight with the rebuild/cleaning out.

Will likely just toss mine as well. Since I have been using a couple of RBA's now, not going through as many bvc coils. Still using the nautis but it's split with the others now :)
And the amount of time the bvc coils are lasting compared to the old ones makes it justifiable :D

I use Vodka to soak my head's in, one hour soak and then a good hot rinse usually does the job :)
How long are the bvc's lasting after going to that trouble?

I'm reaaally tired and when I first read your sentence I pictured you soaking your head in vodka... for an hour. Had to wonder what the absorption rate would be. Then I wondered how many heads you have. All the photos I've seen of you, you just had one. I have GOT to sleep tonight.

I can hardly wait for next week when things should be back to normal! I think we're going to take a little break from special orders so we can get the website stocked. It's sooo barren... and it's really getting on my nerves. Although I am having fun with the man cave. The combo of sleep deprivation and picking 'man songs' for the videos is pretty amusing! :D

 {{{Kayte!!}}} Get some rest!
I don't know anything about bvc heads, but any other head (rba's & such) I use the vodka for and it works well :)
How long do they last? Haha, it depend's on usage

Okay, am soaking in 190 proof rotgut volka for an hr and will run hot water over them after. :p How long to let dry out, Dale? Seems to me that it would take days with that enclosed environment. Also did the alcohol thing and had the same results as you, SarahDoll. Yuck!!!
Over night is all I've ever had to do Choo

Oh guys guys, ladies ladies! No soaking in ISO alcohol! That's strictly for cleaning, but not for our heads! Our heads do much better with rotgut, I mean wodka. And Siriusly, I don't rinse mine afterwards. It evaporates completely. But if you do rinse, dry them until you just can't stand it anymore. You can blow thru them and even if they're a teensy bit wet they WILL vape and you'll vape thru the water residue. KISS, baby!!

Chooch, thank you for the article. About all I read any more is vaping news. Some is difficult to stomach, but then there are ones like this:

Nicotine Clinical Trials: Why Aren't There Any?

It's okay..go ahead and say it..DOBBER!

DOBber! (emphasis on the DOB.... and no, I don't know why ;))

angelphyre, OUCH on the neck!!! BTDT, and I feel for ya!!

I hope that is cheap Vodka you are using:toast: just kidding I'm a beer girl

I hope Kat don't see that post. Wasted voddy wouldn't go over well.

I saw THAT!!! And just FYI, I use cheapo wodka for head cleaning. I "use" good wodka on the weekends..... also for head cleaning. ;)

Okiedoke, Dale. :) Will try again and see if any life left in them. Been trying to use those coils with light juices only and my dark, heavy juices go on my rebuilt ProTank coils. Thank you from the Constant Noob!

Kayte, Dale's always had one head......until I take my glasses off! 8-o......Want a pair of mine?

Thank you, Katdarling, for that good read. It's amazing what people try to get away with during this age of computers. Hidden info CAN be found now. Once it's out, it's gonna wind up somewhere. :)

Well, Sirius, this Tip Boogie dancer IS a bit better than the last "flipper flopper" you showed us. Thought his arms were gonna fly off!

I have thought about the soak as well but we don't keep it around either. Wonder if the 91% Walmart alcohol would work the same?

Has anyone else tried it?

Rubbing alcohol not recommended...leaves a vile taste! I should stop at the local liquor mart and see if they've got airline bottles of everclear. That much I could stand in the house!

To avoid dry hitting when starting a fresh bvc coil, I drip a drop or two into the top of the coil unit before firing it up. The coil has two halfs of a cylinder of wick between it and the sides of the coil unit, both for wick and insulation from what I can see. Wet that up, don't hit too hard when you fire it, and all is well =) This is for the impatient amongst us =)

Here's where I got a look at the inside of the bvc coil unit. I love Todd's Reviews, he's a hoot! I want his workshop handy when I'm trying new things out! It is his birthday review, and he loves this tank a lot. Enjoy!!! The coil dissection comes in around 6 minutes into the review.

Todds Reviews: Aspire Nautilus Mini

From what I see of the wadding(as he puts it), shiseido cotton would be the bomb for replacing it, should one choose to. I rewatched this vid for posting here, and now I want to rebuild me some coils! It looks easier than any of the kanger rebuilds I've seen....

Whew! Thanks, Sirius......That man had a style all his own. :(

Merryhellion, Todd IS a hoot, and I do like his calm delivery. Thanks for posting his review. :) If you get around to rebuilding this coil, you could become a film star! :w00t: You know this audience gets first dibs at at the premiere. :D
