I got a letter in the mail from our 9 yo granddaughter tonight with her birthday list. Her birthday is Dec. 13 and being close to Christmas, I do think she gets shorted on the birthday celebration sometimes.
The funny thing about getting a letter in the mail is that she rides the bus to our house every afternoon. We see her every day! The last item on her list was honeydew melon. LOL. I guess food and drinks are in this year.

My daughter has had to learn entirely new hair skills being mama to 3 curly headed girls. It takes a serious amount of effort to maintain so they won't end up with major frizz head. It's taken her almost 3 months now to start seeing some improvement in the oldest's hair. (She's 11 and just joined our family. It should be finalized in January. I can hardly wait! Until then, this is the only kind of picture I can show you...

Happy birthday. She is just a few months older than my son. Very cool. Well. Everyone is coming around. I really appreciate the love and good vibes form the family. Really do. I have to get some sleep. Sheesh. It's been sickness and work. And kids and aches.

Good morning all! This time tomorrow I will be on a plane heading to warmer parts! Should still be able to get on here some. St Thomas is US territory and we will be able to use phones and such as if we are home. I think that I have most everything ready. We have a family member that stays at the house when we travel and looks after my critters I like to make sure everything is in order b4 going anywhere. Will be nice to have a few days of rest! Will get plenty of sun, surf and oh yeah, basketball! LOL Hubby referees mens div 1 basketball and is doing the Paradise Jam tourney being held there

KS those snow pics are unbelievable! Down here we think that we are snowed in when there is 6" of snow.....those peeps are literally snowed in! Yikes!

Darksparkle, before a good friend moved to FL she only lived 30 minutes away. We managed to "fit" in a visit at a local Panera's every 2-3 mos......maybe. Life certainly has a habit of getting in the way of good intentions.....and the phone makes it easier to forgo more frequent visits!
