Oh those are fantastic!!!!! I'm sooooooooooo liking the vids with the pics, Kayte!
lol I was just looking at how much time I spent doing the videos and thinking I'm a bit nuts for doing them. But they are fun, aren't they?! I'm glad you're enjoying them! I really like that it lets you see the tip in motion... especially the sparkly tips.
Kayte, looks like Coral Reef has a new kind of application. Experimenting again? :D Of course, I need coral! Anything with a "reef" in it, grabs my attention! :D
Yes! It's another experiment. Oooh... the possibilities! ;)
I really like how it came out. It has a subtle beauty. I think I needed that after all the glitzy tips we've done recently.
I thought you might like that one, too! Thanks choochoo!!!

Hey, Iowa Gal, they may have created a "monster" in that it takes more time than they can afford. :( After all, I do believe I'll still buy their tips whether they are moving or not! :D The moving display and music is awesome, but they're only two. Their customer base increases, the demands on their time to make new tips increases, the less time to spend on "extras". Perhaps the "moving pictures" ought to be "reserved" for the just sparklies where a "still" photo will not show off the refraction of the glitter. Kayte has mentioned being frustrated with that particular problem.

In other words, when Doug is filming and trying to get the lighting just right, he's not at the lathe making a tip.....for me! When Kayte, is editing the film and dubbing in the music, she's not adding the glitter or daubing the paint just so.....for me again! You bet I'm selfish. I want those tips! :hubba:

Those videos are a wonderful way to "show case" their art work. Maybe if they could put something like this to stay permanently on their web page and change it out every so often, but only use it on the forum when Kayte feels the "still shot" is just not doing the tip justice? Could that even be done?

What do you think, Iowa? Anybody? I'm trying to talk myself into being a reasonable reasoning adult here even tho I love watching them move while being serenaded!

What kind of work do you do reptifarm?
Here's a pic of two of your tips. Can't wait to see what Doug makes for your husband. :) And gosh... you made me blush!

I have to share the video I just made. I thought the music was fabulous with the tip. (This one is already spoken for.)

I'll be working, as usual. but at least I have a purpose....I need to pay for some marvelous new tips that Doug has made for me!! I'm so super excited about them!! Kayte, feel free to post their pictures! Oh I'm having one made for the hubby as well, it's still a mystery but Kayte and Doug are an unbeatable team and I'm sure it will be genius like all of their other ones are!

So true reptifarm -- I bet if I asked them to make me a Green Lizard w/Bug Swirls they could pull it off! :D
They are an awesome couple for sure! We just wubs um around here!:wub::wub:

Well, there were 583 people at the Scenic City Vapers meet yesterday. Twelve vendors along two walls of the ballroom, the DJ and food area along a third wall, a bar and large screen to show raffle ticket numbers that were picked along the fourth. Even tho the center of the room was filled with large round tables that sat 10 there still wasn't enough! On the other hand, the vendors do want you to spend time at their tables. ;) .......On the other hand, it was hard getting to the spread array of wonderous, or nifty, or pretty things.

Got to meet the Vapin Greek right off the bat, but Phil Busardo was surrounded by young men grilling him about his wiring and wicking. So, wandered over to the vendors' tables and tried my best to wiggle through the big guys. It helps to be short, white haired, and old as their grandmothers 'cause IF they see me, they give way.......try to dive in at the sides of the table instead of the front.

Got to meet Charm School! She saw my Holograhphic Glitter tip and asked, "Are you ChooChooGranny?" She was a volunteer for the meet and manning the sign-in table. When I said yes, she said I'm Charm School! Well, that deserved a big hug and looking at tips! She was using one of your Mermaids, Katye. And it too is more gorgeous "in person". You should see the wrap she made out shelf paper. The colors were perfect for the Mermaid and the fit and finish absolutely right on the money. So many talented people. I have so much to learn and there are times when I really do feel inadequate!

The Holographic Glitter tip fit right into the ballroom with its multiple huge crystal chandeliers. I had it in my "Ice Princess" mode and wore my black cord jeans with white turtle neck cotton top with a light sweater with black & white tiny striped design.......Well, at least I was wearing black; but once again, over dressed. The tip glittered like crazy and had several people (women of course) ask where I had gotten it. Even the food court gal asked about it. :D

Did get to meet Busardo and at one time had both he and the vaping Greek on either side of me. Ma-a-a-an, Granny hasn't gotten so hugged in a long time. I was in heaven and nervous as all get out trying to explain how I was learning to recoil and rewick with cotton on my ProTanks & Davides. Is that rebuilding? I thought that was just recoiling and the first step in rebuilding one of those steam engine thingy dos.

Had a grand time. Our tickets won us enough juice for next couple of months. And hubby and I met and got to help a 6 day newbie to vaping upgrade to a MVP. He's a business man in insurance and stock. Re-met a now ex-employee of Mtn Oaks Vapor who was also helping a person who had just wandered in knowing nothing about vaping. He and his wife were from out of town and staying at the Holiday Inn downtown and just seeing the sights. He smoked for many yrs.. She didn't. Several hours later he was set up with a MVP and they both seemed to be extremely happy. They too were an older couple.

I love going to these things because of the new ones mainly. They are just so excited and happy. It just sorta makes my day to hear their stories and how amazed they are at this new discovery and what it's done for them in a very short time. I leave and am on an "upper" for the next week! :D

Morning my MM tip lovin friends:)
Choo-so glad you had a good time at your meet!! The vape shop I work at puts on a meet every 3 or 4 months. We have huge raffles and are able to contribute thousands of dollars to CAASA and wounded warriers with the raffle money. I am always working the events....I think I would like to just "attend' one. I don't even get to see what's up for raffle when I'm working them. And they are so crowded. The places we book for these keep getting get bigger and bigger to accomidate everyone comfortably.

Our furnace broke Saturday and I finally broke down (it was so cold) and had to pay the "sunday" fee to get service over here later yesterday. The part that needed to be replaced was 12.50. The bill was 239.008-o

Green lizard with bug swirls?:blink::laugh:

We love you too! Seriously. You guys have made my job so much more fun. I read your posts to Doug often. I figure he could use the fun and the encouragement, same as me. :D:wub:

583! Wow! That's just wonderful! I think it is so amazing and wonderful and fun that vaping has/is growing into such an adventure that is saving lives, making new friends, collectors paradise of mods and 'art pieces' of all kinds, etc. Makes me feel sorry for those still smoking that they're missing out on not just vaping, but all of it! They don't get to have meets to show off their latest pack of smokes. And no art pieces to enjoy. I suppose they might make new friends... standing outside in the cold (or heat), but they sure aren't comparing flavors and how well their 'equipment' works or how they could 'get a better smoke'.

You got to meet Charm School! And she got to meet you! I'm jealous! :p And I'm hoping that you two had someone take a pic with Charm's camera so she could post it here for us! :sneaky: She used shelf paper?!? Now I need to see it.... sounds gorgeous! And I need to know how she applied it. Pre-glued/pasted paper? Sprayed with adhesive? I need details. :D Although this does sound like you'd need to be able to cut a straight line.:laugh:

Thank you sooo much for showing off the Ice Princess! I'm glad you enjoy her that much! It doesn't sound like you were 'over dressed' to me. You wouldn't want to look shabby next to the Ice Princess.

Made me smile to know that smokers showed up and got started with vaping. YAY!!!:banana::banana:

Again... so fun to hear how vaping is growing so rapidly! It's exciting!

Catcat, you've got to get more volunteers so you can take turns being AT the vape meet, and, yes, Vapin Greek said that finding a large enough venue is becoming a problem here too. In nice spring & summer weather perhaps a park? We did set off the smoke alarms twice and had to open the emergency doors to the ballroom. With that many vapers, it do get misty, fogy, vapery?

Hey, Kayte, I'm with you in that smokers are missing out on a good thing plus all the other social benefits that come with it. One of the things my oldest daughter said to me last time we talked was she was so happy that we have a social group to connect with. Vaping is speedily expanding and more people are finding out about it. Don't know 'bout you guys, but I like going into a shop to see and touch any new thing. The more shops open help smokers become acquainted with these strange devices.

No, neither Charm School or myself had a camera. Perhaps at the next meet in April. Heck, I didn't think to bring it even tho Busardo was going to be there......For Pete's sake, where are my priorities?!

All of this love and fun y'all are sharing makes this post a bit of a downer......with a heavy heart and palm to forehead, I must report that Piney took another fall about a half an hour ago  I think she died this time. I'm just as sad as she is right now, and the ol man says that he won't buy me one because I only break the ones that are a gift, not the one I purchased myself!
