It's no exaggeration to say it was a shack (roof caving in on one side, etc. Have you ever seen The Egg and I? Yeah... that was very close to this place.Gorgeous room Kayte and a job well done. If those are Girl Scout Thin Mints I could eat a whole box of those in one sitting. Ummmmm!

) I believe when it was originally built (1922) it was a barn. Then a summer cabin of sorts. Hippies hid out in it in the 60s. Squatters moved into it in the early 80's. We bought it in '92. The 'house' actually brought the value of the land down about $20,000.
Doug thought I was out of my mind wanting to move out of our brand new, lovely house and buy this. He was probably right, but we're both so glad we did it! Paid it off in 9 years, raised our kids here and taught them all kinds of good things that are paying off for them today. Thin Mints. Oh man. You just had to go there, didn't you?!
