Gorgeous room Kayte and a job well done. If those are Girl Scout Thin Mints I could eat a whole box of those in one sitting. Ummmmm!

Thanks Sirius! One of these days I should upload a few pics of what this place looked like when we moved in. It's no exaggeration to say it was a shack (roof caving in on one side, etc. Have you ever seen The Egg and I? Yeah... that was very close to this place.) I believe when it was originally built (1922) it was a barn. Then a summer cabin of sorts. Hippies hid out in it in the 60s. Squatters moved into it in the early 80's. We bought it in '92. The 'house' actually brought the value of the land down about $20,000. Doug thought I was out of my mind wanting to move out of our brand new, lovely house and buy this. He was probably right, but we're both so glad we did it! Paid it off in 9 years, raised our kids here and taught them all kinds of good things that are paying off for them today. :)

Thin Mints. Oh man. You just had to go there, didn't you?! You're in charge of bringing those. Two boxes for each of us.

Kayte the kitchen looks great.....Dale enjoyed the hummingbird site...I can't imagine how tiny the nest is. I am going to step away now as the Little Princess is screaming my name (going to try and behave....hopefully someone will save me from myself)
A humming bird built a nest in my yard where I could see it one year. I was amazed at how tiny it was! Cutest nest... ever!

Nope, Sirius, these cookies she made believe it was around Thanksgiving and looked so delicious and easy to make that even a non baker like me could possibly do it. :p Made with flakey pie crust and jam/jelly; but, Sirius, you can come and watch us eat these non Girl Scout cookies iffen you want to. Do you like tea?
I'm glad you reminded me of those. I happen to have a couple of pie crusts in the freezer. I'm thinkin' it's cookie time! Strawberry pecan? Apricot cinnamon? Blueberry almond? hmmm

I love old restored places. A lot of those around here. Old Victorian houses very well built. The Egg And I? No I think I haven't but I catch your drift. I know it must have taken much work but well worth it being in that location!

Aren't Thin Mints the best?
