Angel- so glad your road warrior came home renewed!!!

Envied you a little on snagging Big Easy, but since I had her slender sister, Louisiana Nights, already, I've learned to live with myself about it *winks*

Oh my that is a crazy quilt, and SO beautiful! You lucky, lucky girl!

Me too...I was so relieved when I got the email that she was coming home all beautiful again! Doug is amazing!

Yes I had wanted that Louisiana Nights one, since I spend half my time over there, but was glad she went to a happy home...that's why I had to snag the Big Easy when I got the chance! ;)

The pics don't do justice to the quilt tip...it really is just so amazing...the way the colors just POP on it is awesome! I really am in love!

I hope you're having a good time on your trip...stay safe!

Just pm me, Merryhellion, when you're in town and ready to visit a couple of our favorite B&M's, Mountain Oak Vapors and Vintage Vapors, and then well go eat at Portofinos, Dimi's place! :) Hopefully my 5ml Nauti will be here by then, and I'll give it a try while bouncing around town with you guys. Just give me a "heads up" in time for me to figure out what to wear with what tip!.....The 15 min. preparation and jump in the car routine is so lo-o-o-ong gone.

Thanks for the info, Iowa Gal. I'm a sucker for that "diamond" look!

I finally caved. There was a tip I'd been mooning over for ages, Texas Sunrise. Petite, lovely, and I was hoping she would last on the site, til a point on this journey where I needed to give myself some positive reinforcement. There she was just when I needed her earlier today=) Knowing the timeline for shipping at the MhM end will probably be longer than usual fits perfectly with our extended trip! *happy cartwheels*

I also got back my Fantasia tip and Dr. Doug did a beautiful job repairing her :D...you'd never know she'd been the victim of road rage...she has now been renamed "Road Warrior"...that made me laugh when I read that Kayte and thought it was very appropriate!

Oh yeah, and I never got around to posting this one...the Big Easy tip...the colors are great in this one...lots of green and purple and yellow...perfect for Mardi Gras! :D

Thank you all! I knew you would understand, because after all... you're molehill mountain family. :D
Yesterday she couldn't hold herself sitting upright... would just slump over. Today, they have her standing and plan to get her walking through the night. The prognosis at this point looks good. They'll be sending her off to a rehab hospital in a couple of days for physical therapy. Doug's sister is staying with their mom for the most part and Doug has been assigned dad. He's not in great shape either. He whacked his head a couple of years ago when he was riding his motorcycle across Africa (he's pretty much ridden around the world) and things haven't been the same for him since. A month or so ago, Doug's mom was getting pretty worried, wondering where he was.. she hadn't heard from him all day. He called her at about 11:00 that night to tell her goodnight... from Arizona. He had forgotten to tell her that he and a friend were going on a ride.:laugh: So with that said... dad needs someone to keep an eye on him. At least keep track of what state he's in.

Hope you all have a great night!

Kayte of course we understand hon. Sending prayers out for Dougs mom and hoping his Dad stays safe on his journeys..He sounds like he's a trip! :)

Beautiful new tip Kayte! You just keep coming up with such cute, fun stuff! I'm loving it!

I would have totally freaked out with the bat! OMG! That is just crazy! Glad Doug was able to get it out...see, I would have been hiding in another room somewhere while whoever, anybody but me, got it out!:blink:

Sorry to hear about Doug's mom...sending lots of prayers and good wishes her way! :nun: I hope she gets better soon! But I agree with everyone else, the tips can wait and we can occupy ourselves here...family first definitely!
I was hiding under the blanket. Once he located the bat behind the curtain (and it cussed when he did ), Doug asked me if I was going to scream. Heck no! I'm just going to hide and giggle as I watch him, armed with a short broom in one hand and an axe handle in the other. My super hero's tools of choice for the mission amused me. When he pulled the curtain back with the axe handle, the whole thing fell.. rod, curtain and bat. Doug jumped. It was my turn to ask him if he was going to scream.

Lighting a bbq pit around noon tomorrow (in lieu of candle) for Doug's mom. I hope that's appropriate, as it will burn 24 hours to bring brisket to perfection.

I think you will enjoy it a lot Chooch =) Got the little "juice cage" tank and put "hummingbird" from NT in it (cause, thematic is cool). On the 1,150 mile drive up here, I refilled it once, and the plain 5ml glass aspire with granma's cin danish in it once as well. Also have a 5 mil with some rose cherry tobacco (roundhouse/nt), and well that one got 2 refills. For not having to stop and put juice in things on all day drives, so far the aspire nautilus family of full size and minis has done pretty well. Cause nothing sucks like even thinking of refilling tanks on bad road or in a "rest area" bathroom. *shiver*

Will be heading (not sure of the route yet) down Chattanooga way on Saturday from New Hampshire, arriving sometime Sunday evening. Nice having hubby split the driving with me on this adventure. Will probably stay over a night or two and head home; just need to hug my dad again, even if Alzheimer's has taken all memory of who I am (and most days, of who he is) from him now. Hoping to find a good vape shop to hang out at while I'm in town.

I hope everyone is keepin on for me while I'm gone. Haven't had any real time online, and only doing so now with hubby's tiny notebook. At least it has a keyboard! I miss you all, your joyful love of life, and your playful enjoyment of one another. I'll be back underfoot soon enough. =)
Bbq lighting is a lovely idea! It would be even better if you'd bring me a slice of that brisket. lol

Glad you're having fun on your adventure! Hope you and chooch get to have a vape party!!
I also hope you get filled to the brim with dad hugs while you're there.

Here is the beautiful new Quilt tip on top of my mini nautilus...

And here's Road Warrior (aka Fantasia) in all her glory once again...

Oh yeah, and I never got around to posting this one...the Big Easy tip...the colors are great in this one...lots of green and purple and yellow...perfect for Mardi Gras! :D
Here she is on my mini protank 3...
YAY! You got them! I'm so glad you're loving the Quilt! I was really happy with the way it came out!
I thought Road Warrior was the perfect new name, too. From the way it was damage, I was thinking that it was run over! And survived! How amazing is that?! I admired Doug's surgery on that one! What talent!

What fun!!! And of course we'll need pictures so we can live vicariously through the two of you and pretend we were there too. :D

Oh hemp... I've done some of my best work out of worry, tears, etc. Insomnia is the one that blasts my creativity out of the water.:sleep: Which is where I'm at tonight and why I'm on smiley overload. :D

Thanks Sirius! And yes he is! He's 80ish now... and still riding... which tends to freak me out, but he's okay with freaking everyone out. He has places to go and things to do.
In the career world he was a top notch engineer....

LOL....LOL.....LOL!!!!! Kayte, can't get the picture of Doug with a pile of curtain at his feet! Was the bat caught in the pile? Did he pick up the whole thing and toss out the window? I AM assuming you "gently" woke him up to "man the ramparts". 8-o AND, pick up his readily? available? arms to defend the parapets!......

I suppose we can all agree that life is never boring on Molehill Mountain? If it's not kids, it's runaway parents, Mordor or bats!

If it will make Doug feel better, I had a bat stuck hanging upside down on the inside of a doorwall screen, it refused to let go. (Which was kind of good considering the ceiling peaks at about 22 feet in that room) I put a tupperware bowl over it. My son (abt. 10 y.o. at the time) and his buddies that were over to play got a good close look from the outside of the door, while I stayed inside holding the bowl. When he finally let go, I slid the bowl to the edge of the screen frame and LAUNCHED the bowl outside, screaming and slamming the screen shut. The tough guys screamed and ran......good times for sure! Poor little bat, I'm sure he had to get therapy after visiting my house! Men use ax handles, women use tupperware! :D

As everyone has already written, all the best is being sent for Doug's Mom, and well, the whole MMA extended family. Of course family is more important than our beloved 'stuff', so please don't worry about that for a second.

Yes, the probably would...but I do know quite a few who I have heard scream like a little girl...and usually because it was a spider crawling on them!:laugh:

I am guilty of this on more than one occasion. Sorry but spiders = NOPE. You want it gone, do it yourself. =)

Hahaha...yeah, my ex husband was the same way...I was the resident spider catcher in my house! I can remember as a kid how I used to torture my older sister with them...she was terrified of them and it was my way of getting back at her! :D
