Merry! That's gorgeous! What is an ink patina and do you have to be careful with it?

Well, it's not a HAMMER...basically, treat it as lovingly as you do a MhM tip and it'll be fine =) The coating is brittle if dropped, but so are tips....otherwise it is a stellar way to dress up a mod =) The coating he puts over the ink patina, is the same one folks use on their rotten egg patina'ed copper mods (I believe, I know he has a partner who does that kind). But it can go on any type of surface.

Oooh MerryH! That is gorgeous! And now I neeeeed to know how! I'm dying of curiosity to know if it can be done on a provari.
About the catnip blossom potpourri... just toss some on a paper towel and let it start drying. Flip it around now and then so all sides get air. Once it's dry, stick it in a box or envelope and send it to me. The weather is cooling, so I'm not sure there would be time to pour it this year, but I'd have it for next summer.

I plan to pour some new blanks very soon. My supplies should arrive on Friday.

I apparently need to track down someone that turns aluminum and beg for shavings. That would look quite nice. I think it would have a similar effect as the mica.

I'm really out of it today. Came down sick yesterday afternoon. I'm going to curl up on the couch and find a movie on netflix.
