I've just listed four beautiful woods. The first may be known as the 'oldest' drip tip in the world... as in ancient. Really! How cool is that?!

SOLD Ancient Bog Oak - Here's the write-up on it:
Your purchase is a product made out of authentic Bog Oak from The Fens in England. It is between 4-6,000 years old.

Thousands of years ago, this wood was buried in peat bogs which preserved them from decay. Bog oak is in the earliest stages of fossilization. If left untouched for millions of years, it would form into coal and lignite. It's dark brown color is an effect of the tannins in acidic water which stain the wood.

That is SO COOL! Does Doug have more stock, or is this the chance of a lifetime one-off? And, how are those special orders coming along... backlogged or taking requests? :)

Tips are listed on the website. :)

Honduras Rosewood Burl

Random Segmented Woods
These two arrived today and they are gorgeous. There was a special reason why I had to have that particular segmented. Did anyone notice there is a big silly smiley face on it?:) It will be known as the smiley tip. If I am feeling down, that will be the one to reach for.:D The burl is just lovely, and I have just the mod it will go on. It's on the way, from Greece!:2cool:

Only vendors that aren't registered on ECF. The Plume Room is a registered vendor.

Edit: It's true that we aren't supposed to post links to vendors who aren't registered on the forum, but it's also almost impossible to monitor or for members to learn who is and who isn't.

Do you really think Fasttech is a member? (they were not a year ago, but could be now -- no way to know.) How about EBAY? Or, Amazon? Or Facebook?

As there is no way for members to know who is registered with ECF it would be impossible to monitor. Places, such as Evolv, have no threads, but they are most certainly registered with ECF.

Only the list of Vendors that have subforums are on a list with a link at the top of the forum. If you find a valid way to know who is registered and who's not, I'd sure like to know. I and others have asked for a way for years.

Some links simply can't be posted, just like certain words can't be, mostly for obvious reasons.

Show the rule, Sirius. Not true from my recollection and years on the forum. SOME links aren't allowed.

Well..I stand corrected Tea..I assumed since you couldn't post links to a vendor that wasn't registered with ECF, you couldn't put them on threads either.

I thought we. Or members rather could not sale stuff. But I don't know the vendor rules. Anyone have a link
To the vender thread rules so I can give it a read please ?

I frequently come to this thread. More than most other places online. So any word I type in my search engine. Will bring up this thread if it is here That's what the browser cache does.

Did I miss something. Did someone do something wrong? So we cannot chat on this thread any more?:(

I don't believe that's the case, unless I missed the memo as well. I think certain parties are still a little ruffled about the discussion the other day about a particular juice that may or may not contain diacetyl, but that conversation didn't belong here in the first place. I haven't seen Kayte tell us we aren't allowed to chit chat here anymore.
