Hi Ms Cruzer, what a story! Yes, mechs fire at the bottom. It is a little awkward at first, but I am told by my friend it gets easier. It hits pretty hard as it is copper underneath the SS. Pretty nice design, and you cannot see the seams at all. It can be made into three different versions, depending on which battery you want to use, and how small you like it. This is it at it's biggest size,18650, and it is still nice and small.:)

I do want to mention to those of you who like the istick, and were thinking of buying more, to take a look at the issues people are starting to have.

I figure I'll just be trying to squonk a mech all the time. :) I wouldn't mind trying one so I could/would use my Magma more. I almost bought one that had a firing button on the side but now I don't remember what it was. Old timers disease. I'm having trouble holding on to all this money to buy a new Reo while waiting for the new 510. It's just burning through my wallet.

In the engineers defense, he is a CIsco engineer so he can make a network talk to computers all over the world but he can't remember to put oil in his car. Oh, the stories I could tell about that child.... He makes us laugh on a regular basis. Youngest child syndrome.

Love the Stingray X! Got one myself in black...I've tried others and they all just go into the collection, while I happily vape once again on the Stingray X.

COLD! Sure, the thermometer said "26" outside, but then there was this sideways thing the snow did in the wind. Ziglar came in happily without a rope, where I fed him some grain and a few apples I found frozen in the back seat of my truck. The camera was in the truck when he filled his snout with enough frozen apple slush to get brainfreeze! His eyes doubled in size, he put his head down and moaned, but he did not lose a bit of apple! This guy's got anything horse food related down, I tell ya ;)

Lovely tips (had some catching up to do on the thread today), lovely snow pics, and Kayte...that snow pic of yours could only be more awesome if Ziglar were posing in the pic =)

I'm following the 'Stick "dramas" like a daytime soap. So far, all 3 of mine have been behaving, but I'm watchful for the issues.

That does not bum me out as much as the newly resurfaced issues with the copper plating on the Naughties. I'm just not sure where I stand on it, but am doing bits of looking around for clues. People (in general) are quite unhappy with Aspire right now.

Bummer. Just when so many of us found our newest Unicorn.

Kat like you I've had no issues with my Isticks but am careful. I did order a couple of those afc as I have not desire to use the ego adapter with my tanks. You'll have to keep us informed on the Nautilus chimney issue...IDK what to think as I love my Nauti Minis.... I also wonder if the issue is the same with the ss sleve toppers?

Big warm hugs, Hemp, from one Mountaineer to another. :)

Merryhellion, Ziglar sounds just like a kid scarfing too quickly on ice cream!

Katdarling, tell me about this problem with copper plating on the Nauti's? Haven't seen a word. :(

Yes, Sirius, this time of yr can certainly do a number on "outside musing." :p

Momma just wanted to take a minute to wish you a wonderful vacation...crazy day and I know tonight will be the same. Enjoy the sunshine.

TY Iowa and Mz Cruzer :) I have just a few more things to finish up and I will be ready. After much debate I finally decided to carry the iStick, itaste vv 3 with Nautilus tanks and a Hana with the Orchid v4 atop. Almost packed a REO as well but decided not to. The mods are emptied of juice and in my purse and ejuice packed in my liquids bag in my carryon. I even have a backup usb cord in my purse and stuff to rewick the Orchid if need be ;)

Got everything situated with my critters as well and boy do they ever know something is up! LOL We have a family member that stays here at the house when we go out of town so they will be in good hands :)

Got to get up at 4:15 am and man I'm beat. Ready for some time off! ;) Poor hubby is worn out too. He has had a heavy week of reffing basketball games and juggling his business in the process. But, he's used to it. He will have a game each day we are there except for one day he will have a free day so we can spend the whole day sight seeing. :)

I don't know all that much.... I don't think anyone does at this point, but the chimney of the Nautilus hardware is brass plated with chrome. After awhile, the plating wears off, exposing the brass. Some people are convinced and some worried that the brass as a metal alloy has a degree of toxicity when inhaled. Others (I'm sure) are less concerned (those that fall into the camp of "I smoked for all those years and took in a MYRIAD of toxins").

The issue (if it is indeed an issue) has to do with the chimney, Iowa, so whether or not one uses the ss sleeve doesn't really pertain to this.

In any regard, the issue has also arisen that Aspire has not been particularly forthright about all this, and told us that the tanks were made of stainless steel. They are..... for the most part.... but not the chimney, which they claimed would be difficult to make in SS.

So the issues are a bit "multi-fold" at this point. There is also a bit of chit chat about the material used that constitutes the wick. You guys have prolly been aware of that one tho.

I just dunno. I LIKE THEM! A lot. So at this point in time, I plan to continue using them. The way I see it, if I have a Molehill on top, my world is GOLDEN. ;)

Thanks everyone. Of course I thought she was beautiful the instant I laid eyes on her. What an amazing day that was!

My daughter and her husband are blondes and gave birth to four blond boys. Our little family is a picture of the U.S. - a melting pot. We're like our own little rainbow. :D
My daughter has had to learn entirely new hair skills being mama to 3 curly headed girls. It takes a serious amount of effort to maintain so they won't end up with major frizz head. It's taken her almost 3 months now to start seeing some improvement in the oldest's hair. (She's 11 and just joined our family. :D It should be finalized in January. I can hardly wait! Until then, this is the only kind of picture I can show you...

Doesn't she look like a happy girl?:laugh::laugh:

A little late but great looking family there Kayte, I'm sure they make you two so proud. One of these days I'll have to visit my family when snow's on the ground.

Thanks for the insight on the aspires Kat. It might explain why I was having problems with them. They were great, at first. Then I started experiencing a terrible taste I just could not get away from until I stopped using them.
MommaB, in case you missed it, I wanted to also wish you have a wonderful time in the beautiful islands.
It really was odd trying to fire that bottom button earlier, but I think I was trying too hard. I realized a little while ago it is quite easy to push and you can do so gently with the same great results. So hold it in whichever hand is comfortable. get your ring finger or two fingers underneath and gently press upward a little. The hole bottom moves up. My friend said the magnetic and recessed firing button is more difficult. Especially for us old women with arthritis... So far I really like it.

The snow pics are amazing! And terrifying! Well... all except for the two feet of snow in NY pic. Thanks for the laugh Killowatt!

The most we've gotten at once is 3ft. It was incredible. Beautiful! I'm pretty sure I would be a claustrophobic mess if I was in that awful lake snow storm they're having right now. Nonononono! No can do!

This is my yard with about 2ft. (Taken a few years ago.)

Oh wow I love that little spot too! minus the snow of course ;) Looks really peaceful.

TY KS :) I have prob missed a bunch tonight, been skipping around ;) LOL

And as for those switches, some are easier than others. Like you said, I have found the magnet ones are more difficult for my hands. I have a beautiful copper Celtic Shamrock but her switch is really hard for me. The Vanilla Copper that I have has a really smooth switch on it and I find myself using it the most of my mechanical copper mods. It is very easy to press and easy to lock. I think they loosen up with time which is a good thing ;)
