Old timer! LOL

vaping rules! I'll never go back to analogs. Yesterday I came to realize I have no desire for them anymore. I had to go out to run around doing stuff and I forgot my PV.....almost returned home for it, but I was already 10 minutes away. I was out for about 3 hours running around and didn't crave anything. AMAZING for me! Normally I would have huffed 2-3 analogs in this time, but no desire yesterday at all. In fact, I encountered a few smokers while out and the smell replused me. LOL Yesterday showed me I can resist ALL nicotine and be just fine.....of course, once I got home, I started vaping again though. hehehehe I'm pretty much over the psychological hand-to-mouth thing, a big part of smoking....conquered!

I got stuck on a five hour ride home with dead batteries...I smoked maybe 2 real ones and it was painful....vaping is fun and is tasty too...it has vitamins and minerals.....no no it doesn't

....<snip>...the feed system has the tube through the battery connector which works well but I hate the fact that it just isn't idiot proof. I decided to make a soldered connection with silicon tubing that the needle from the bottle will fit inside of and be pretty much idiot-proof. The liquid will go directly into the atty as usual but without the hassle of threading the darn tube up through.
this will be cool too.

Rank newbie here, learning about box mods, then learning about bottom feeders.

really interesting stuff.

Am I assuming correctly that most folks pump it to push juice into the atty for a vape, but it is also possible to use a Carto and just use the pump to re-fill the carto.

( sounds to me like the direct pump into the atty would taste better )

Hey Astronomer!

Welcome to the MB thread!
We tend to be PG13 or R rated, so beware!

You are correct. Push the bottle...squirts some juice into the bottom of the atty or carto. I prefer an LR306 or LR510 atty to the carto, but both will work. I think attys taste better.

The MB or MB VV are some fine BFJB's!
Thanks for stopping in!

Just placed my order for a VV and I'm so excited! I keep going back and drooling over the pictures. After mostly using a PT and dripping every 10 mins. it's going to be great to not be tethered to the wall or the power pack in my purse. And not having to open a bottle and drip constantly should improve my online gaming, or at least improve it for the people who have to wait for me to drip when we're busy fighting monsters :). Now if I just had a time machine to make 3 weeks pass really fast. Wow, I sound like a geek.

Right On!!!

I'm awaiting my Kingwood VV MB to be built.
I can't wait to get ahold of it!

What options did you pick?

Has anyone else had a problem with cartomizer not working on this box mod? I put a 510 boge cart. On it for the first time and I get no air flow no matter what I do can someone let me know if I'm doing something wring or if they just don't work on this mod. I probly should have tried it when I got it a few months ago but I rarely use cartomizer

I haven't used a carto on mine.
Did you fill it, before attaching, then refill/re-wet with the box?
You could probably loosen it just slightly to increase airflow, I had to do that with my KR808.

With this style of box carto's are really not ideal. The MB's feeding system is flush with the 510 connector, and for cartos you'd really want it to extend into the carto some (like the wetbox would). I can't really see carto's getting fed all that well with the system Tom's got going here (not that that's a bad thing).

But to help you some, if you look at the 510 connector (where you'd screw the carto into on the box) you'll see that it's got 4 little breather slots, this is where the air flows for the "draw." If by chance, the tube that comes from the juice bottle to the connector is going into the hole on your carto at all, it'll block that airflow. This is what I'm guessing is happening to you.

If that is indeed the case, you've got two options for a fix, the quick way that'd be not so great with carto's is just to simple snip that tube down a tad bit, till it's not obstructing the suction, but keep in mind you want it flush with the 510 connection. Or, if you'd rather use cartos, you could rig something (maybe a needle?) up to replace that plastic tube at the top of the feeder system with something of a smaller guage (so air can pass by around it), and leave it longer than the original tubing so that it can access the meshing inside the carto.

As always though, do this stuff at your own risk, I'm no Tom, I'm just trying to help based off my experiences with these things.

Good morning! Well there was no VV when I started-no electronics, mainly mechanical mods were the rage like the Silver Bullet, GLV and of course GG. Nhaler's Xhaler and Puresmoker's Prodigy were big also. There were no wooden mods. Fono was first when he teamed up with Drew at Nhaler and started selling them. I didn't trust them because they were wood and I thought they would break easily, my first wood mod was bought in September because Fono gave me a deal and I bought one for 70.00, regularly 160.00 at Nhaler. That was when he went solo and wanted to expose his Phidias more to the vaping world. I couldn't believe the taste of e liquids in a wooden mod when I first tried it. Unbelievable difference! I also found out they were quite sturdy not as flimsy as what I had thought. I started to help him promote them because I wanted everyone to experience what I did in a wooden mod. I liked them so much I bought 7 of them from him. Now wood mods are big-everyone wants one. This latest Monkey VV is the ultimate so far-everyone should have one! Tom just keeps improving them with every build, already he's improved on what I just bought! In a couple of weeks, I'll have to send mine back just so that they can be upgraded. New advances everyday in the world of vaping and that's great! It sure beats smoking those old analogs I smoked for 30 years and never thought that I would quit. :2cool::2cool:

Thanks JC,ya us new kids dont know how good we got it,though I do seem to remember something called black and white tv,about 6 stations-----------and dad picked what show we'ed watch! LOL

I have noticed that when the tubing pushes up too high above the hole and goes inside the carto it plugs the air vent(looks like a trumpet) like plugging a trumpet with your fist. and also some aluminum bodied cartoes are cheap and are blocked around the edges > which are supposed to vent air.
