There is a difference between HV and LV vaping, I will be the first one to admit that, but. As we discussed, matching the attys (resistance) to the battery and finding that sweet spot will render near identical results, when vaping at a known wattage. e.g...crazy... didn't even realize what Switched was using that night was a mechanical device... soooo many choices out there!! reminiscent of when I was looking for my first starter kit. I'm hoping too that a higher voltage device will make some of the juice I have now taste better... feels like I'm vaping them now just because I have them... they'll have to do until I get some new stuff in
Vaping low resistance on a standard 16340 batt provides a decent vape, but the battery is being stressed and "full" current is not delivered to the atty, to provide designed wattage. Now change the standard LI Ion batt to an IMR 16340 (capable of delivering the req'd current) and you would swear you are vaping a different PV.
... having vapes this device for 2 weeks now, my follow up review will contain very little new info. I am surprised that I have more less been using it at 3.7V. I believe it is more akin to the current situation I a in, vice not using it a 6-7V. The choice between the P16 and P18? For the same price, the P18 hands down because it has the capability of doing 6-7V.thank you for the recommendation, I will certainly put it as "one to consider" right now.. I'm actually reading Switched' review on his P18 in another window right now![]()
prodigy v3 is probably best bang for your buck in HV tube style, plus you can use it with 1 17630 for 1800mah 3.7 vape.
Green Blanky Review: Super T Manufacturings Precise P18 18650 mod » Tenburn's Reviews a very good review and comparison between the 2 devices. My decision for the P18 was because the V3 was not announced yet and because the major switch problems expereinced by members of the V2. I am glad that PS was finally capable of putting that behind them with both the V3 and Icon.
I didn't get the luxury to really examine switched' P18 on tuesday, but the vape from it was really nice (at least compared to my eGo).
I didn't even realize it was the same manufacturer as the super t t-tips... I have both the ss shorty and reg and love them. I don't doubt the quality considering how much praise Switched gave to this device. The P10 looks cool too, but I'm unsure of the battery life on it...
For a sleek elegant look when wearing a suit or whatever, where a certain amount of sophistication may be req'd perhaps, but you are looking at 3-4 hours compared to 29+ for batt life, and it is not recommended to use the P10 with LR atties, which in turn will reduce batt life around 1.5-2 hrs.
