so we are gonna see these deals a plenty, I’m guessin’

$9 diff between V2 and 20W . . . ?

wonder, how low will they go…
and how long will they last…?

will innokin continue to produce V2’s or is it 20W only now
and the legendary V2 supply will dry up…

I sure don't see any reason for them to keep making the MVP2, unless they can make fair money selling it at an even deeper discount?! I would love to see the MVP2 selling brand new for $20 or less.

I thought of that when I made the title for this thread
and it's why I made a general reference ; MVP - into the next generation
hoping it would cover what the next incoming version would be...

;)

Yup... I figured this would be the MVP thread, flat out... MVP2 / 20W / MPV3(sp?). I don't really want to add another thread to the sub list ;)

Hi all,
I've got a bit of a big issue, my mvp doesn't seem to be charging from any of the USB cords, or plugs I have, I didn't have the patience to look through all pages of this post and the last, has anyone else encountered this problem?
It's been giving me a problem for a while now , and I chalked it up to a bad cord, because it was doing the same thing to my phone. but I went and used 3 separate cords and still nothing.... It used to charge if I hold the mvp and shake the cord and mvp about like an idiot, not that's not working....
I am besides myself, this is just the cherry on top of the crappy ... day I've been having... any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

:( bummer, sorry to hear

well the odds of several USB cords being bad in succession is very high

so lets say it's the micro USB port on your MVP

bright light and look inside there

small brush and the king of many fix's

CANNED AIR !

see if you can remove debris from inside
which sounds like your trouble to me

early Version 1 models had the problem of the
port becoming dislodged from the board, but was addressed long ago...

I AM OH-SO-GENTLE with these cheap ports on all devices
most definitely a weak point

see if you can find rust, lint etc. in there to clean out
(stage two: a drop of WD40)
Good Luck !

Looked and tried the canned air, looks clean before and after blowing it out.
I don't have a brush. I've played (very gingerly) with the port and the cords and still nothing,
I guess I'm going to have to find a torx screwdriver, and take it apart ( not exactly high on my lists of things to do but if its the only option).
I wonder if its jealous of the brand spanking new mvp I just bought ( for my mom's xmas gift) oh, if it were only that easy...

Have you tried a different usb on your computer or better yet a wall outlet?

you are absolutely correct !

I'd assume if there was trouble afoot
one would change EVERYTHING
to see if you can isolate the problem

but I guess it deserves being stated

just to be sure

"We are all on the same page"

different USB cable, different plug in location, different wall (A/C adapter)

:)

Yes the cord from the new mvp the old charger for my phone and the chagrer for my friends phone 3 different wall adapters (my new phone old phone and friends phone) 2 separate wall outlets (different sides of room) and a surge protector (also different location from other 2 outlets)
and all 3 usb ports on computer as well.

Well... I would offer to solder the same or even a new connector on there... I'll even do board trace repair for ya... but shipping about kills any value in it :( offer stands should it be required though.

You can get a new MVP2 for $30+shipping right now in a VaporBeast link I posted above...

I would say take it apart and report back... chances are it just needs a tiny bit of solder or a bit of adhesive to hold it in place. Have you tried SLOWLY moving the cord in various angles?
