Hi people. Got 3 MVP 2's. Got last one right before 20 watt came out. Doesn't matter I guess, don't go above 10 any way. Will be reading up on replacing 510 with flush mount. Dropped one of mine & it didn't help the threads.

One of these might solve your threading woes. eGo to [eGo] Adapter Uses the ego threading and gives you new 510 connection.

Actually, I have the full sized Nautilus - that's the one that I do run at a whole 8w. :D That's one of the reasons I hated the Istick, since it won't go down to as cool as I prefer. With my hand problems I'm never going to rebuild, I tried dual coil and didn't like those, and I haven't any interest in sub-ohm. Different strokes for different folks.

Exactly - to make a statement that a certain topper needs to be or must be ran at a certain wattage is silly. Personal preference, and juice combined with a given topper, and airflow (draw) can all change the wanted wattage. I use a 'Silo' on the airiest draw setting, and rarely do I go over 10 watts.

I will agree that depending on the topper and the possible build (coil setup) more/higher wattage may be desired by *most* people, but like amoret, I have both bad hands (and though I love the MVP 20W, the button is just as hard in my book) and enjoy a cooler airy vape.

GEE when I mentioned "800MAH" by mistake a few posts back someone wanted to hand me my head! The Innokin information checked up on no longer showed 700mah but 750mah for the lower of the two. the higher was 1000mah. But that's alright! Fasttech has the eGo-V V4 1300mah also usb passthrough capable Mega batteries for only $19!-$22.66 with box and usb charging cable. https://www.fasttech.com/products/3001/10011857/1805902

Everywhere else plan on $35-$40 for SLB! A Canadian vendor has them for $22.29 under Green Vendor but suddenly stopped carrying them and why I had to order the spares I wanted along with the Vamo Fire from FT that took weeks to come in only by registered mail since batteries were involved. Took a month for an 8 pack of 18350s ordered where? Amazon of all places! Order placed on 11/28 and arrived on 12/30/14! Sweet Vapes has them in the SLB box for $29.95 as they did for the V3s a year ago. And one of the three plain box without anything on the box went DOA back then in under two weeks. eGo-VV V4 - SLB eGo-VV - eGo Batteries

The big difference with these over the V3s as well as what is being seen with the 2000mah Smok Aro Winders is the larger easier to use button no longer bumped up against the main connector on the neck of the battery but at the top of the longer battery tube instead. They are also about 3/4" or 19-20mm longer then the Winders as well as standing taller then the V3s.

Regarding the current draw of a charging MVP20W...

I checked mine and with the battery basically full already, it would start drawing about 350mA... but once I started vaping from it while it was on charge, it was pulling as much as 850mA. I'm draining the MVP20W battery right now so I can check the input charge current at it's highest level. Meanwhile, I checked how my wife's MVP2 charged, and with a battery below 4V... it started right off at 750mA draw!

I now have to wonder why they suggest to use a 500mA USB output versus '500mA or greater'.

Update: After using the MVP20W to charge another battery pack since I initially posted... the MVP20W was down to 3.5V (and warm). It's back on charge right now and drawing 868mA @ 5V... and falling.

I bought the D4 in August to have something better than the 2 bay Trustfire I have.

Looking at an XTAR at Kidney Puncher for 40 but with a 2 year warranty.

ETA at less than $10 a month it isn't a lot of money lost but it is annoying.

That was it! I had to think back and remember the two slot here was a Trustfire. It's too bad about the D4 you had there however. The only compliants heard so far about Nitecore other then that are with the older Intellicharger models but I think you are putting any of them to constant use you can run into problems. The D4 here was ordered in the middle of July and is still going good so far.

To all the people that won't buy an MVP because of the built in battery pack:

My $35 Nitecore charger took a dump after four months. Good thing I have my MVPs to vape with.
Hey don't jinx me I just got a D2 last week!! Still got an Xtar as a backup at least.

I think he ended up with the one that would actually give out sooner or simply wore it out from constantly charging something in it?! You can charge up a number of battery types with it not just 18650, 18500s and 18350s but AAAs, AAs, C and D rechargeables, etc. Now they have a new D4 Smart Charger model seen. Thanks for the data. I have always charged my MVP's with my 1A phone charger. I used a 500ma a few times and noted that the 1A was faster as your data would suggest. When I charge my VV3 on the 1A they get just a little warm. Did you measure the output from the MVP USB out of curiosity? It seems to dump pretty fast and hard.

I didn't measure the USB Output yet, I figure it is 1A+ just because of how fast I was able to drain the battery. I'll take some readings later today.

Yes, thats the one I have, and been using since I got it way back when. Think, it was $29.00 from Amazon when I did.
Found it:

That was a 3rd party seller for seeing the price that low on how long ago that was Dec. 2013 - Jan. '14 around then? Back in July I only saw a few priced between $37 and the MSRP $40.. $37.94 plus S&H $3.99 was the lowest at the time I was looking. I had just gotten the VTR in after the Smok Groove II went belly up despite the fully charged 3800mah sealed battery in that seeming to be ok and the two slot charger I had at the time was totally worthless! Well between having a Vamo, the new VTR just in, and the old tube mech mod the four slot charger plus display being pointed suited the purpose. I know several at ECF were looking the updated Digicharger over the older IntelliCharger models for sure.
