I'll kinda edit my statement about the RBA. Right now, I'm running it at 21.5 watts, and I haven't had to take a primer puff since I dialed it down from 23 watts. I gotta say, the MVP 3 is great with a Subtank mini on top! I've been vaping on mine since Tuesday, and although the LED is lighting up yellow when I vape now, I've still got 4 bars on the battery life indicator. I'll probably vape it until the battery dies before I recharge it for the first time to get a feel for how long the full battery life is like.

I wish Kanger would offer the sub tank with just the RBA deck. I would really like to own one in spite of past experience. I just have so many other tanks and coils it's hard to justify buying another type of tank setup.

Nothing says you have to use the OCC setup. (I'm considering a mini with no intention of using the OCC setup. A nano w/ RBA would b perfect. I plan to look into modifying the nano to allow that once my current deployment ends)

With the original sub tank, you have to swap the top section anyway.
The new version coming doesn't require that swap and it uses the same RBA as the mini (which looks to be a better design), all while being cheaper.

Really the cost difference on the mini or the new 25mm version to include the OCC coils is minimal.
While the coils retail for a few bucks each the 2 included probably only add $2-3 total to the cost.

Figured I'd post a pic that better shows off the carbon fiber drip tip on mine. Taken yesterday at a local vape shop.

Yup, I need that drip tip lol. I looked it up on sweet-vapes and it's not too expensive. It would look so sick with anything I put on the Paragon I'm getting. Federal tax return FINALLY hit my account yesterday so I'm amassing a small arsenal of vape supplies now haha.

I haven't tried it in mine, but I think the subtank is supposed to be backward compatible with other Kanger coils...

I have to say I agree with you completely. Are you into DOOM metal by chance? I've found the sweet spot on the 1.2 coil in the Nano on the MVP to be 21.5. In the Mini with the .5, it seems to be about 25 watts. Yeah I alternate both Subtanks on the MVP and the iStick. Haven't decided which set up is permanent yet or if one will be.

Not into doom metal, I got into the old Voltron animated series the summer after I graduated high school (kinda weird, I know). The bad guys live on Planet Doom, hence Doomites, hence my username.

I think I had my .5 OCC head up to like 23 watts the first day I vaped the Subtank, but I'm gonna have to either re-wick it or get a pack of OCC heads at that resistance. I inadvertently loosened the tank from the MVP when messing with the AFC. Lesson learned!

the biggest, hottest thing going several months ago
was the pairing - iStick 20/MVP20W with the mini Nautilus/bvc…

once people become aware of the awesome combo of,
MVP 3.0 with a Kanger Subtank mini sitting on top,
it will RULE the vaping world… IMO

I find this tantalizing, it is an “all-in-one” topper…

subΩ/simple single coil/glass/4.2ml capacity/drip tip/rebuildable (included)
easy fill & see/air flow control/stainless/able to tear it completely down

- - all in one neat, do it all package
if Kanger makes a 1.5-1.8Ω occ coil for people that don’t build their own,
the Subtank will be able to cover it all… (.5Ω1.2Ω1.8Ω) (+ rebuildable)

I’m thinking the ‘end all’ clearomizer (why need any other)

so a match-up of the 3.0 & Subtank, might be the last set up I buy

with some price drops for MVP3 & Subtanks (will be no stopping it)

on sale now, the puf kit ~ MVP 3.0 & any Subtank just $78.00...
if that deal was available, how many would jump on it… ? ?

I recall one reviewer screwing in a kanger bdc coil into the Subtank
but darn'd if I remember which (probably Busardo)

and NOT the other way (occ in a bdc tank)

Thanks! I tried the RBA yesterday, and the flavor seems more pronounced than with the OCC heads.
I may get the juice channels widened a bit, since I'm having to give it a primer puff after about 3 hits or it'll taste a bit burnt. I've read that widening the channels helps a lot with that.
Overall though, I'm still loving the combo!

I’m kinda thinking before you try to ‘out-think’ Kanger’s design team
as you said, play with wattage, AND maybe your wicking ;)
less wick, less power, less channel blockage ???

wonder how efficiency ratings compare among all these subΩtanks
everybody says the Subtank likes LESS watts than all the other
subΩtanks that are out (a good thing in my book) (more juice mpg, more battery)

flavor/air flow/clouds/price , are all just so close…
