I've put in a ticket with vaporbeast. I'll see what they say!
Thanks!
I'm sure they will take great care of you. I'm having an issue with one of mine. Just got off of the phone with them and they are emailing me an RMA and a return shipping label. Great customer service from this outfit.

I do have a question about the MVP3. I received mine Saturday. It arrived completely dead. (I thought this was strange because every MVP I have ever purchased had some charge to it when it arrived.) I charged it overnight. I put my tank on it, tried all the settings, and fired it from the lowest to the highest watts. I set it down and then I noticed it was emitting a high pitched whine sound. At this point I statrted to wonder if it was going to explode! Sissy girl here!

Has anyone else had issues with the sound? I turned it off and still heard the noise. I'm on day 2 of using it and I'm down only 2 bars. It still makes the whine sound. Is whatever that is causing the sound draing the battery too?

innokin charges all units before shipping. I sounds like something in the chip is drawing down the battery. It is definitely defective.

I think returning/replacing it is the right call. I will say that I have noticed a very faint high-pitched noise from mine sometimes, but only when the screen is active. It only happens sometimes and only when everything is very quiet.

I received the RMA but not a return shipping label. Maybe I should give them a call. I don't understand why I should have to pay to send back a defective item. :(

My MVP 2.0 won't read my tank anymore :( if I can manage to get to read anything besides "NON," it'll only read a resistance of "0.0" and obviously won't fire. I've tried multiple tanks, and said tanks work on everything else, just not the MVP. I've also tried changing coils.

It's too old to return it to Innokin or the B&M, are there trustworthy people that repair these? Or is it basically just a paperweight at this point?

Did you try lifting the center pin. If you don't know what I'm talking about, check my blogs.

With a lot of companies, you have to pay to send it back but they pay to send you the replacement unit. It use to be that most companies were that way but now days it's more 50/50.

Capt has you covered. His blog is excellent regarding MVP fixes.

So happy! I finally decided to return my MVP3 after finding it misreading the ohms. MBV found it defective and is replacing it for me. I made the purchase February 11 and am happy that they are willing to work with me and send me a replacement.

I'll definitely watch it right now, howver i have tried it because the pin does appear to be farther in than usual, but I am unable (or afraid) to put much pulling pressure on kt because the pin seems very and overly loose. I've managed to have it read the coil at the correct resistence, but then immediately refuses to fire and rechecking the resistance, goes back to NON or 0.0

Gonna check yours out and hopefully I'm josh doing something wrong. The loose pin scares me though, I feel like it may need to be opened up and have something tightened, but I don't have the tool (nor the technical knowledge although im nearly certain i could figure out what's loose and tighten it if that were the case.)

*crosses fingers* I'd love to get this thing working again.

Off topic, anyone think a VTR, apparently the model that doesn't have the tighten/loosen option on the connector plate, but decided to spin anyway, has the potential to be fixed? It has the same issue, once it was spun just a little, it stopped reading any tank. Tried screwing it the 2-3mm back in the direction it came from with no luck. Someone suggested again that a negative wire may have came lose from spinning it. Does that sound right? Are there videos of MVP's and or VTR's being opened to fix internals?

Anyways, this forum is insanely helpful. Thanks again guys I'll report back on the MVP pin issue after watching your vid, capt!

I was having the same issue Southernmissfan was having. (Post#4611) I was looking on the Innokin website today to verify a scratch code and saw that they have a new way to verify the serial number. You power the unit down and press the power button and the +/- buttons at the same time. Hold for five seconds and the serial number will appear on the display. Since I've done that not one issue. Would like to hear how his/her issue worked out.

I'm guessing that the built in security code is not the same as what's on the original package scratch-off sticker. Mine didn't match. I couldn't enter the numbers on Innokin's site from my iPad. Will have to try on the desktop.

This is an upgrade build-in security code. Only for iTaste MVP3.0,MVP3PRO, iTaste VV4, Cool Fire IV.
1. Keep your device closed.
2. Press power button and "+"(or "-")button for more than 5 seconds at the same time.
3. Please enter the Machine Security Code without spaces in the field.

All this security for a device that NO ONE has ever even bothered to try and clone  But I guess some people buy the marketing ploy?
