I am enjoying my MVP3. Only thing I don't like is the sharp corners. I am in the process of ordering a leather sleeve for it. That will take care of the corners. Seems to be built like a tank like the other MVPs. Think I will get a lot of use out of it. Still have not run down the battery yet. Just turned to yellow. I am retired and a chain vapor so my boxes get a lot of use non-stop. I have been trying out my other new boxes as well. I like the Heatvape Defender. Nice size, works well, fire button is clicky but no big deal. The sigelei Mini has issues with the 510. Most of my Kayfuns won't screw in to it as they are too tight. Works well with the ones that fit. Neither is the quality of the MVP3.

I agree about the sharp corners. I have a Hana mod clone I could shave with.

I have a Defender and love the feel and it works great, but not the quality of my over 1 yr old, still going strong, MVP2s.

I had the opportunity to test the Defender. It performs well. Like you it feels very cheap. Not sure on the longevity of the unit. Since all these boxes are pretty much in the same price range I vote MVP.

The rubber sleeve that is available for the other MVP's are the bee's knees. The take the edges off, provide excellent grip and a bit of protection for the unit. One of the nice things about the rubber skin is that it is very thin so it doesn't increase the size of the box. Hopefully they will come out with one to fit the MVP3 soon.

Agreed. The Sigelei 30w includes one. That would be a nice thing for Innokin to do!

Not sure why they have not come out with a silicone sleeve for the MVP3. Seems like everything else seems to have them. Fasttech comes out with new ones every day, I don't think that they will last long since they are so thin. I have 2 leather covers for the MVP and 1 for the VTR. All of them are over a year old and still look like the day that I bought them. I bought the MVP ones for the MVP2 in 2013 but they fit perfectly on the MVP20. Leather is great for when it is cold outside. They are expensive but will last the life of the mod. I am pretty well done buying mods now. Have about a dozen of them but always come back to the Innokin products as my every day vapes.

You always hear people say that a mod lasts them 3 days or a week but you can't relate to that because it all depends on how you vape and how much you vape. Decided to see how much liquid that I could vape on the MVP3. I fully charged it and put an EHPro KFL+ on it. Set up was at 1.3 ohms (8 wraps 28g kanthal on 2mm bit). Set the MVP3 for 13.5watts so 4.2volts and 3.2amps. Ended up just short of 3 tanks so about 13ml of eliquid. There are 6 bars on the battery indicator. Went to yellow with 4 bars left but switched to 3 bars shortly after. Went to red just before it changed to 2 bars. Died with 2 bars still on the indicator. So you still need to use the light to determine when you need to recharge rather than the battery indicator. Overall, pretty good results.

I'm wondering what will be Innokin reply to the flood of high power boxes we have seen of late.
I vape for the nic not for glamour, I have few of the latest 60+ W boxes and also the Atlantis and a Goblin, but I use the Nautiluses 99% of the time at 10W. And so, the majority of the vapers I know. If Innokin wants to play wise, Microsoft-style, they may sell an high power box with temperature control for the use of the masses. Innokin to us means well built equipment, built to last, with a steel connector and a industrial-quality battery. Use a properly designed electronics, truly buck-boost with pure DC output, precise volt/watt/ohm reader. Since I believe the actual technology for temperature control is a losing compromise, I bet they are working on something that will allow widespread use of temperature control.
Proper temperature control can be achieved in two ways; one is to add a termocouple to the atomiser, but it would require a new breed of atomiser with four wire connector. Another is keep using Nichrome or Kanthal as heating wire, but this would require a special front-end followed by a DSP-like processor. Evolv had to use Ni200 wire because it provides a larger resistance variation with temperature. The NiCr small resistance changes, once amplified, were meaningless without proper processing, and there is not enough processing power in actual microcontrollers to achieve proper temperature control with common atomisers. So, based on my design experience, I would bet we will see sooner or later - an Innokin box capable of temperature control with a normal heating wire. Just a guess, but a reasonable one: there are already on the market cheap DSP chips used in audio applications, they would need of an adapted firmware and interface to be used as temperature signal processors.

Low wattage/voltage vaping = commute to work
High wattage/voltage vaping = Nascar

I prefer it safe and slow.

We will have to wait and see what the MVP Pro looks like when they release it.

i will be getting my MVP 3 on Thursday, after reading many reviews. Main complaint about it was the price to the bang of the buck. I also bought it for the ability to charge my phone in a pinch.
Are there any other big negatives people run into? Thread is quite long, and have 14 bajillion other threads to get through next couple of days. Will be mounting the Kanger Mini subtank, hope it is a good combo.

There are no negatives as far as I can tell. I much prefer my MVP 20w to my istick 30. It just performs better and feels more solid, but I don't sub ohm. But I haven't read of any issues with the MVP 20 and 3. I hope you'll enjoy it!

I have had mine for about a week. Negatives are size, weight and edges could be rounder. Positive is that it is an absolute quality product. Works well, lasts a long time, everything fits flush. I initially regretted ordering it because of its size and tried to cancel it the next day. Thankfully, they did not let me cancel. Best mod that I own. Highly recommend it. Doubt that you will find anything that is better made.

Have heard others comment about the corners. Size and weight are just going to have to be something to live with. Guess will not have to do so many 16 oz curls. :p
