all my stockpile is thawing :(

Sorry to hear your freezer died.

Yoy can thank your lucky stars its not an RV freezer.

When a device has to be able to run on AC, DC, and propane they get pricey.

A couple of years ago, I misplaced a liter of 100 mg./ml. rocket fuel. It was at room temperature for 18 or so months.

Before I put it in the freezer where it belonged, I opened it to see what had happened.

Absolutely nothing happened. It was still clear — not yellowed — and it didn't smell or anything.

Buy a new freezer at your leisure.

If your freezer dies, don't panic. Get some dry ice, and place it into the freezer, It will keep your perishables very cold for quite a while, freezers have a great amount of insulation to make them efficient. For a small price you can keep them at very low temps with dry ice until they are repaired or replaced.
