The problem with tobacco absolute (or one of the problems, anyway) is that certain juice makers think that if a little is good, then more must be better. As with many things in life, that isn't true. Too much is too much.
LOL Hula, my choices are cigar, pipe and cigarette. We haven't got snus in this fakakta nanny state.
Too much is also so little, it is misunderstood. It is one of those things, I am sure, that most mixers cannot appreciate how such a tiny amount can expand so greatly.

Says it's made from Bulgarian tobacco. How hard is it to make tobacco absolute? It seems like it would be most effective if it were made from the same blend as the NET...you know, some RYO tobaccos are extremely high quality and tend to be fairly cheap because most are branded as lower taxed pipe tobacco. Just a thought...
EDIT: just got done reading the Vapenstein thread :thumbup: So I'm thinking it is definately the tobacco absolute in Dekang cigarette flavors that attract me to them as a cigarette substitute. It's cheap enough that I'll probably pick some TA up to experiment mixing with better e-juice, but I still wonder about the possibility of DIY custom blend tobacco absolute made from quality RYO tobaccos.

I find it amusing how many people vote a juice as "Best Tobacco" when it isn't even tobacco.
OK all can you kindly tell me how I can get/order Gandalf ? After like 37 pages of Gandalf threads I'm pretty confused. Like there are 3 differant kinds and what not. What I have is 5 months old and it's a 70/30 pg/vg mix, at 24mg , but I want the same thing , the same flavor !
I'm smoking this out of a AGA Tiamat/Genesis style atomizer with ss-mesh and 32 Kanthal wire and It realy goes through the juice but the flavor is great !
So I would like to know the how 2's on ordering the same stuff..lol
I think I have to put in comments I want the original Gandalf 5 to 6 months ago ?????????

That's the idea, order "Original Gandalf". I've yet to be convinced that's what you'll get though. I've given up on Gandalf until someone tells me something new.

Well I still have about 7 mils left so I have a little time ,as I have like 5 juices and mods going at a time for diversity.
Flavors are ; Gandalf-HHV , Havana Gold Alien V, Highbrow-Cigar , Orange Sorbet-W2V , Creme Brulee-W2V.
So all in all just say I want the original Gandalf and get what you get ?
Fred, 'er I mean mrgoodwrench...what GT means is if you have Gandalf from 5 - 6 months ago it is likely the very first Gandalf ever made. There is wide belief that this flavor has not been replicated. That's not to say that there aren't many people who like the Gandalf since and you shouldn't give it a try. Quite the contrary. You may like the current Gandalf very much as others do. But do not expect it to be the exact same as what you have. Consider your next go at Gandalf as sampling.
Yes! and No! LOL - Actually you are correct. Ask for "original Gandalf" to get a juice that's closest to the Gandalf that you are currently enjoying. As a btw, I'm still waiting for the (new) "original Gandalf" to mature some more before I can state how close it may or may not be to the one and only that started the snowball rolling down the hill at HHV.
Finally ! My wayward HHV has come Home ! Gand, SF, GA PT, HT and PB are sitting pretty with thier caps off 'til wednesday, and maybe by Christmas Eve or so I might understand what everyone else is talking about ! Thank you all for this thread and the guidence you have offered.

Well Thank you sir for the explination. As for the first Gandalf ever made , it was Mr.Mann and Luce post #83 ,and I looked back to post #66 Mr.Mann reviewed Gandalf and did a dance...lol. That got me to get the Gandalf in the first place. So yes 5 to 6 months ago !

I value this thread and respect the views of others and take the advice , kindly. I'm a big time fan of Want2Vape natural extracted tobacco e-liquids. I like 99% of them.
As with Heather's Heavenly Vapes , they must have lost the recipe or something ? However I will state what you said and I will see what happens. Just maybe it will be good and like you said go for the smaller sample bottle instead of the 30ml.

I think, repeat, think that there is something else going on different with the Gandalf that is unspoken. I remember the biggest selling point, way back when, was that Gandalf was AMAZING straight out of the box. I can recall my first back and forth with Bronze about Gandy needing or not needing to steep. I was saying that it did NOT need to steep and was completely confused as to why anyone would say otherwise...that is until I got an order from that time. I don't know if they stuck with it, but I do remember around that time I found out that they were using another nic different from the beginning, but I don't know if they continued. The fact remains that anyone that had it from the beginning knows that it isn't really so much of just an extra amount of extract that's different, but it is simply a new juice that is vaguely reminiscent of the other. While I do feel bad that Adam changed the amount of extract based on my orders asking for more (and others asking for it the way I got it), the fact is that even the juices that I had with extra extract are NOT the same as the juice now. Originally the juice was the color of, I dunno, maybe apple juice? But now, the last bottle I had was very dark and got much darker.
p.s. When Gandy first came out, a simple 24-48 hr steep was about the max if it was needed at all. These were fromt he first batch, note the color. The bottle on the right was the original (meaning the first bottle I bought) and the bottle on the left was the extra extract. Both bottles, because of the shadow from the bottle cap, look even darker than they were.
Mann that is unfortunate that they changed the tobacco extract or even maybe more than that...
My Gandalf is like your darker one but almost as soon as I put it in my rebuildable atty tank it gets very dark redish brown but tastes awesome. I'm not sure why but maybe it's the open air and the heat from the atty ?
Also I assume that if they changed the tobacco extract , then all the e-liquid flavors have changed too , like Huntsman ect..?
In all reality Huntsman is not the same either . ? And I'll be due for more of that soon too. I'm saying soon as in two to maybe three weeks tops.
I don't know if I'm right on the nicotine cmming from the tobacco extract or not ?
I talked to Carol at Want2Vape about the Creme Brulee' , as I tasted tobacco in it and asked if there were tobacco in it she said no ,but the nicotine they use is extracted from tobacco and that's probably the taste I'm getting.
So is the tobacco extract seperate from the nicotine here ?
