I think I want to dip my toes into the squonk pond. I need a recommendation. Here is what I'm looking for.

1. Squonk kit. The mod and rda are made for each other, seems like a good place to start.
2. Regulated mod. I don't want to have to mess with ohms law.
3. Single coil RDA. I'm not into massive clouds. My wife will kick me outside if I'm vaping dual coils.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Concoction Creating Cave
Eleaf Squeeze 2
Desire rage for a dual 18650
Dovpo topside seems to be a popular one although I’ve never used
Avoid a kit and just get the wotofo Profile rda. Great flavor and super easy to build. If you want it can take a single coil but I’d say just use the mesh.

The Single Coil RDA is what stumps me. I would second the recommendation for the Pulse Dual Kit. Though I have not tried that mod/RDA specifically, I have every other Pulse Mod/RDA and they are all solid mods/RDAs. My Daily Drivers are the Pulse 80/90W with the Pulse X RDA.

Though the dual battery mod may be a turn off due to size (though it is small).

If you decide to venture out, the Gorge RDA is one of my favorite single coil RDAs.

I consider my Eleaf Pico Squeeze 2's (3) and Dovpo Topside's (3) the top gear of my 46 or so regulated and mech squonk mods.

And I prefer the mesh RDA's for squonking... my Digiflavor Mesh Pro RDA's (9) and Wotofo Proifle Mesh RDA's (6) as the best of my countless dozens of squonk atomizers.

Since you are just getting into squonking... I'd op for the Squeeze 2 and Profile as the easiest and most issue free choices out there for quality regulated squonking. For mech squonking the Reo P67's are hard to beat.

+1 & mega-Kudos for the Pico Squeeze2. 21700 Batt, Nice Mass & Ergonomics, simple to Nav Chip, and the included BFRDA (which was originally pre-destined to unemployment row with the other "Kit-Included Misfits")
is actually pretty damn good in all aspects (nice Design, deep Juice-well, simplicity of Build & Wick with fairly awesome vapor-mass & flavor) and still reigns atop the little Squonkie as my authentic Hadaly pouts to no avail still screwed into Atty Row on the Gear-Stand.

Digging the Topside & Pulse22 RDA as well.

Both very capable and enjoyable "Price-Point" Rigs.

*the above input one-handed while cheesin' on the tasty-vapes from my Squeeze2 loaded up with MechSauce Empress Milk.... ahhhh,,,, very Nice :thumb:

A kit, as in a mod and atomizer combination from a manufacture is not necessarily the best of pairings. They may be made for each other aesthetic wise, but there is always a more preferred atomizer out there. Personally, I think you should first choose your atomizer then pair it with a compatible squonk mod. The atomizer is going to make or break the experience.

As for the mod, there is always a compromise. Want something small, portable….then battery life and or power output maybe sacrificed. Want more power or excelled battery life, then you are dealing with something that is larger and not so portable. You have to choose what you feel is of value to you.

I’d also take into account the squonk bottle. Not all are made with the best of quality silicone to which they may retain odour that could have an unpleasant effect on the taste of your vape. Many newer squonk mods also use a proprietary bottles so finding an aftermarket should you not like the original could become a challenge.

One of my squonkers is a Pulse 80 (same as the Pulse X). With a 20700 cell battery life is acceptable for the given wattages I vape at (30 to 50 watts). It’s plastic construction is durable and light enough to be my first choice of mods for when I am on the go. And because it is plastic, it wears well and not as prone to scratches. I use a wide variety of atomizers, mostly single coil but lately I have been using a mesh RDA. But one fault I did find with the Pulse 80 was the poor quality bottle retained odour. However….the mod’s design meant I was able to find an after market bottle so the fault was easily rectified.

Long(ish) post...hopefully it helps.

So after reading all of the suggestions and of course spending days researching each and every one because the internet, ya know...I ordered the COV Wraith 80 w squonk kit from efun. I figured, $18? How can I go wrong. It gives me a chance to see if squonking is right for me with very little invested. I can dip my toes into the pond for small change. Now I only have to wait Lord-knows-how-long to receive it.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

The Wraith? Nice choice. Thank god some genius suggested this to you. Did you order a black or white one?

Plus, no worries, efun ships quickly. Mine was in transit for.. 5 or 6 days? Well, it was christmas, so..not really comparable.
